I've been watching Mermaid Melody, and I'm three episodes in. Here are some of my thoughts:

I feel like Lucia isn't showing much of a reaction to having to flee her home. Is the cheerfulness a coping mechanism? I doubt it.

I like Hanon! I feel like she'd be a better protagonist than Lucia. She actually seems to know what she's doing. However, her crush on the music teacher…

I hope the music teacher turns out to be evil. That would be great. Then Hanon could kick his ass with SONG!

Speaking of songs, I hope we get some new songs soon.

I'm liking Lina a lot so far. She seems so cool!

Kaitou seems like a dick, to be honest. I don't like him, but since he's the love interest, I'll have to put up with him.

Overall, it's…okay. I like it somewhat.

Okay, so once, in kindergarten, we were talking about shapes, and when the teacher brought up rectangles, a little shit named William and I got into an argument

William thought that rectangles could only look like this:

And not like this:

And so the teacher had him state his reasons (which consisted of “I’ve never seen a rectangle like that before”) and then launched into a lesson on how different people have different points of view

Except that’s not how it works. A rectangle is a rectangle, no matter which way it’s rotated. That’s a fact; it’s not up for debate. It’s like saying that two plus two isn’t four.

I guess I could make some point about attitudes toward, like, climate change with this post, but I don’t really feel like it

I’m just kinda salty at my kindergarten teacher lol

my fellow writers, do you ever experience that thing when you tell someone (usually someone older than you) that you write, and they’re immediately like,

“Ooh, do you write short stories?”

And then when you say you don’t, you write long stories/novel manuscripts, they’re not nearly as interested?

Like, what’s the big deal with short stories? Even in my creative writing class last year, the big focus was on short stories, and that’s mostly what we read. I’m lucky to have even had a creative writing class in my high school, but still

I want to make a KH screenshot webcomic sort of thing where, in an AU setting like our own world, the Master of Masters — or, in this case, the GM of GMs — is hosting a series of campaigns with a TTRPG system that he made himself, and the players are the Foretellers (and Luxu). The campaigns follow the events of the KH games (minus Union), starting with BBS or maybe Dark Road, with the Foretellers (and Luxu) playing as the main characters.

Things go off the rails quickly, leading to weird things like, say, the party losing to the BBEG during the climax of one campaign (aka BBS’s ending)

or the party screwing up during the first adventure and getting split up, then not being able to come back together for a looooooong time (aka KH1)

What do you guys think?

I’d probably have to watch some more videos about Union X or whatever it’s called to get the Foretellers’ personalities down, but yeah

Then again, I’m already doing too many things at the moment
