The first time I heard this lyric in this song I immediately thought of them so I wanted to make something related to it. This is also my first attempt at some sort of like aesthetic/moodboard for this pair, ignore the white lines lmao, I couldn't figure out how to get rid of them. I also apologize if the quality isn't the best.

But alas, I will never get over them. They deserved so much better.

Fellow video editors, I have a question!

What are the best apps/programs to use for making edits on a laptop? Both free and non free ones.

I was starting to get into editing a couple years back and then I used videostar on my iPad. My iPad doesn't have storage anymore so I'll be returning to editing on my laptop but idk what is best to use to for it on there so I'd love to hear suggestions/advice.

I'll also take any other advice, etc. as I'm still very new to editing and don't remember a whole lot from when I did it a couple years ago.

Yayy thank you for more! I’m doing lost and found individually as I know I don’t have any wips that have the entire phrase.

Lost: She lost it, hating how seriously he had taken the poem, “it was just a poem, Lee! Doesn’t mean it’s true!”

From a wip that’s just titled Poem right now (around 4.2k words).

Found: Once she found one she deemed presentable she handed it to him, moving close to him as she watched him look over it, ready to snatch it away if he tried to flip the page.

From a wip titled All On Paper (around 4.1k words).

Ironically both of these wips have very similar themes of Kara reluctantly (or having been forced) to share either some of her art or a poem to Lee.

Mine: “Until you decide, there’s a tent set up for you behind mine,” he informed her.

From an untitled fic (I am considering calling it Against All Odds. Current word count is 4.1k).

Hello: strangely enough I cannot find any, I always use hey or hi instead lmao. So I shall share a hey one instead:

”Hey, don’t shoot, it’s not gonna do-” she tried to stop him. While randomly appearing in his apartment hadn’t been one of her smartest ideas, she didn’t want him to waste a bullet on her.

From a wip called God’s Worst Angel, it’s a very fun AU that is both humorous and angsty (currently 5.1k words).

No: Baltar immediately caught onto the guy’s jealousy as he reassured him, “no need to get jealous, Captain. It was clear to me that she was thinking of someone else as we did it.”

From an untitled fic (currently at 1.2k words).

Why: "I don’t really have much of a reason to give you for why I did it, beyond the fact that I’ve already told you plenty of times before, I’m a screw up."

From a wip currently titled Letters (currently around 3.8k words, the title is still in progress, I'm contemplating calling it The Letter That Wasn't Meant To Be Read as that sums it up pretty well but I feel like that's too long of a title lol).

This is very fun, definitely feel free to send more. I enjoy sharing little random snippets from my wips and knowing you guys probably have no idea of the context, it makes it very entertaining.

Some BSG finale thoughts from me regarding Lee and Kara (spoilers ahead after cut!)

I didn't mind the ending for the most part, but I am and will always be upset about Lee's ending. Like, at the end once they're on that new planet he ends up having no one left he cares about, which is so sad. Like he wants to explore the planet and all but I know that's something he'd probably like/want to experience with someone else or at least have someone to tell his experiences to. But no, Kara is dead, his father left with Laura, and Dee is also dead.

I wonder what his father did after Laura died because then he'd be alone too. He probably built that cabin she always talked about but he'd be lonely too, I'm sure.

Just like idk, your son has no one left, go back to him. Y'all both lost the loves of your life, bond over it, keep each other company while you grieve. Build a cabin together to commemorate both of them. That's just something I wish they would have done.

But yeah, it just makes me so sad to know that Lee has no one left he really cares about to be with on this new planet. No one to experience this new life with.

And that's part of why I'm so upset about Kara. I would be less upset about her ending if his father had stayed or even if Dee was still alive, but since neither was true, she was the last person he had left that he cared about and she had to leave him too. She was the last to leave him, which hurts so much, especially since I thought it was pretty obvious neither of them wanted that. While yes, she completed her journey by leading the humans to the planet, I don't think she wanted to leave. I think she wanted to stay to experience a fresh start too, I don't think she wanted to leave Lee behind, especially when they had also finally gotten to a point where they could have gotten together with no one standing in their way.

It also gets me when I watch the scene where she's saying goodbye to him, because despite her saying how she's completeled her journey and it feels good, she looks emotional, like she's going to cry, like she doesn't want to be telling him that she's leaving him too.

And while Lee accepts her disappearance and assures she won't be forgotten, memories of her will probably always stick with him and remind him of how he wishes she was still there. I can imagine he maybe makes a grave for her or some sort of memorial, and that he probably often speaks to the sky as if hoping to speak to her, that she can somehow hear him, sharing all his adventures he has to do alone.

He would definitely miss her and I'm sure if he could've had a choice he would have had her stay, for more than one reason. I can just imagine them flying raptors (or vipers, I'm not sure how many of those ships they kept on the planet) side by side as they explore the planet's surface, crossing oceans and forests as they chase each other and mess around, laughing over the radio.

But yeah, that is my BSG rant for the day. And don't get me wrong, I'm not unbearably upset about Kara's ending, just only because of how it affected Lee's. I do wish that she could have stayed and that they could have finally been happy together, or that at least his dad came back to comfort him for a while before he was just left alone with his grief. Like not only was he left alone, but he gets stuck alone with his grief and has to try and cope and comfort himself because he has no one to comfort him, no one to turn to that he knows well anymore.

It just makes me depressed everytime I think about his ending and how it could have been better for him by multiple different ways.

Posted my first BSG themed poem!!!

I've seen some incredible writers on AO3 who have done some BSG poems and I love the concept. Since I'm a poet myself, I decided to give it a try and this is my first attempt! I'm quite proud of it and I hope y'all will enjoy it!! It's a poem written from the perspective of Kara about Lee and her complicated/doomed relationship with him.

This poem is in one of my one shots too that I'll post at a later date.

Last night I wrote a couple more BSG themed poems too that I'll share eventually as well!

Soooo... I've been watching Battlestar Galactica (2003) for a while and yesterday finally finished it. I love this fandom and want to be more involved so I'm wanting to find others in the fandom to connect over this show with. I'm not sure how alive the fandom still is since the show is more than 15 years old lol but I'd love to find some Battlestar Galactica friends.

Also, for if anyone in this fandom does end up seeing this, I let my thoughts run wild towards the beginning of Season 4/end of Season 3 as I had really thought Starbuck was a Cylon. So I started a fanfic AU where she is and it's already at 35k words. I'm having such a fun time writing it as Starbuck is my favorite character and writing her is so painful but fun, especially with her circumstances in this fic and dynamics she has with other characters, like Lee.

Also I ship Starpollo, so if there are any other Starpollo shippers out there please show yourselves to me, I'd love to talk about the pair and cry over them, etc. lol. I'd also love to rp them if anyone would be interested in that, I love rping ships I really love and I think this pair would be so interesting and fun to rp.

THINGS I WON'T WRITE

- reader inserts, just not something i'm super comfortable with

- along with reader inserts is any ocs × canon characters. i prefer to write canon characters × canon characters as it's easier for me and just my preference

- toxic/bad ships, for example: snape and hermione. and i will absolutely not write ships for characters that are related to each other or have a major age difference!!! or any weird ones like dobby × harry.

- certain tws! anything that relates to r*pe, incest, pedophilia, eating disorders, sewerslide, etc. other tws i have written before and are okay for me to write, like self-harm, suicidal thoughts, heavy angst/whump, blood/violence, etc. if you're unsure you can always ask me, or i'll let you know if i'd prefer not to write a certain topic

- crack ships, it's just not my thing as i don't really write anything that's meant to be comical

- certain characters: this goes along with the toxic ships, etc. but there are certain characters i will refuse to write. an example is billy hargrove or peter petigrew. the reasons of why i won't may vary but it shall be respected regardless

5. i do take requests for drabbles, aesthetics/moodboards, one shots, playlists, and even whole fanfics! that being said, i may not necessarily do all of them, just simply take them into consideration and only go through with them if i really like them and could see myself being able to complete it!

6. please be patient and don't spam/request the same thing multiple times! i will block people who spam my inbox or asks, especially if it's the same thing every time. i have a life outside of tumblr and so i will get to responses, etc. when i have time.

7. don't be creepy or weird in the sense of asking for pictures of me or any really personal information, etc. that i don't have public on this account. (with the exception of if we're friends/i consider you a friend). i am over 18 but that doesn't mean asking for personal things or making any sexualized comments about me or anything of that sort is okay. i will block you if you do anything i've mentioned here.
