Top 5 best series of lovestruck

Gather around kids as I tell you the story about how I’d joined lovestruck,

I’ve first joined around 2018, where I played briefly, and I mean breifly! I got bored and uninstalled the app. Then about a few years ago I saw an ad for lovestruck on social media and it looked interesting so I downloaded it, and played the first route that I saw. Which was Lyris’ route from reigning passions, and I ended up playing half of the season that day and spending a lot of money. 💵💵💵💸

When lyris’ route went on hiatus I started to play other routes Heavenfalls for lovers, villainous nights and sweet enchantments. Then I looked up to see if there we’re people online to whom we’re fans of the app. I stumbled onto the lovestruck community started following a few favourites like @alex-cyprin @what-do-you-mean-theyre-evil @mysirencrushspecialist @k-nazario @zhoras-bitch @violettduchess @aquagirl1978 and many others.

It wasn’t until ever after academy came out that I got the courage to post only doing a little reviews here and there. I have my favourite stories, MC’s, and love interests. (Which might have a seperate list in the future, who knows) 😉 😘

So I have gathered my personal thoughts and decided to make a Top 5 favourite stories about that lovestruck has released, now please don’t get upset this is my option and if your favourite story isn’t here then don’t get offended. This is only to encourage and acknowledge the hard work that the authors have put into these stories and to get people to play there routes while they still can.

Now let’s start with some stories that didn’t make the cut,

It really hurts to put these two here, it really does.

Both of these routes has SO MUCH POTIENAL but they never got the chance to get have more seasons. I loved Rafe’s route the deliquent and the MC who embraces her dark impulses. Alot of people we’re upset that there was going to be a route for the FMC because we see alot of tensing gestures for MMC, well.. in MMC route that is.

However I can see why lovestruck would decide to do a FMC route for Rafe. MMC is a ball of sunshine and a pile of puppies embodiment! I just don’t see him being a person that would burn down a society. Even in the second season he was struggling with this. He had a freaking panic attack when someone mentained his father and him looking alike.

There even was a survey back that let the fans decide on the theme and synposis for the next story. I wanted a society with a chess theme set in the past

I feel that they could have fleshed out the story a bit more because I felt lost sometimes while playing it.

As for my siren crush it started out strong a few shorts last summer that became a series. I don’t think that has happened for lovestruck. (Please let me know if it has in the comments.)

A POC MC who’s a surfer and the love interests are all different kinds of merfolks offered world building. Even in it’s shorts. As it got greenlit for a series I was looking forward to it. I think the series struggles with theme and tone. I don’t think anyone expected a dark horror when they open a book about colourful merfolk and beach life.

It also ended on a freaking cliffhanger!

I’m looking at you season 1 of Maxime!

*Sighs* I’ll miss you Maxime. Sorry but it’s really hard to find a really cool mermaid otome game the only other one that I can think of is Call me under by lunaris games, and that’s still in development.

Now onto the countdown!

Despite everyone reservations about Edge lover’s pursuit. It being a standalone app and then moving to lovestruck. For what it’s worth, edge lover’s pursit did deliver.

We understood what the MC wanted to do, a finding her missing father, being set in the future all with cyberpunk asethics, and anime tropes. I like Mc well enough, the intro was cool! It reminded me of reigning passions and wicked lawless love.

Why is it marked so low? Well, it kinda falls into what the my siren crush and immortal hearts society have, not enough seasons. It only had 2 love interests BOTH having only one season. However, not alot of people seemed to play it, I did. Even if I don’t remember much, I do remember liking the setting and the characters I just wish it could have had more seasons.

Okay! Okay! Let me explain before everyone sharpens there pitforks.

I loved this series!

The beauiftul art noveau style that the series has, the beauiftul expansive magic and how each person in the cafe has there own unique magic that connects with there routes! Each CG and love interest is just stupid pretty that it takes my breath away!

Zain blackwood is just so great as a love interest. He’s a dark magican who has trapped himself in the cafe but thanks to MC he starts to love his own magic and himself again. They help each other, MC being there for Zain in his trauma and Zain helps MC with her own magic. They compliment each other so well that it just makes me gush!

While we’re on the topic of MC let’s talk about her. She looks so pretty, not on the same level as the love interests, but that could be intentional. As a internal and phyiscal metaphor for how she’s from a different world from the rest of the cast. She’s also a food blogger. I would have loved to see her blog, the fact that she writes reviews, and takes pictures on the things she loves is something everyone can relate to.

So why is it at number 4? Well, sweet echantments tried to do a sequel for themselves. The Mc looked cool, and the fact that she was an employee who works there because she’s on probation is really interesting. She had her own love interests and they we’re alright. The series just flopped, in my option. Lovestruck completely forgot about Milo? Anyone remember Milo? *Crickets, crickets.*

I only remember Milo, not because I played his route (For a little while) but for the fact that he reminds me of Kronk from the emperor’s new groove….. So whenever he spoke I pictured Kronk’s voice. XD

I’m so sorry for anyone who genuinely likes Milo, I’m so sorry.

I’m starting to notice a pattern while writing this out. All of these have great stories, great characters, and great illustrations. Only to have it cut down when given the chance to do great things.

Unfornately this is no expection. Ever after academy reminded me of ever after high. Fairytale stories, set in school setting, and a story that grows with its characters. Proving themselves more than just there namesake. I remember this series broke down barriers for first introducting a Male MC with another Male character.

I’ll miss these characters greatly, I love FMC and MMC dyanmic being a supportive and loving siblings that is a contrast to other MC’s. When given a siblings there we’re often pushed to the sides. FMC and MMC are BOTH the main characters even if you are playing a route from the FMC or the MMC point of view, they are apart of there story. Offering support, love, and realistic sibiling dynamics that is both relatable and funny. I could put a bunch of examples but this post is getting long enough already.

I did feel a shift when reading through Ezra’s route as well as other route feeling rushed too. This could have gone longer if given the chance. Speaking of…

#2.

The series that started it all! The worldbuilding is so well done, and the intro draws you in, each represents the route which you’ve have choosen. I saw a post from each intro awhile back and it was so detailed and cool! The lost princess being taken away from there family due to unknown dangers. I do like the idea of courts being separated based on seasons. Which is very interesting to see. Each character corresponds to there court, piama and lyris for spring, sebastien is from the winter court, and Amara is from summer. Each character just looks so beauiftul and has a rich story connected to them that MC gets to see before their eyes.

However, it does have unfair treatment of its characters. One got 8 seasons while another only had 4. I don’t know why lovestruck decided to do this, maybe it’s popularity or they needed more seasons to explain there story better than a single few, I’m not really sure. This series could have been the next big hit for lovestruck. I even saw ads of this route when it was being adveristed.

Now before the reveal of number 1!….Let’s showcase a few honorable mentains.

The incredibles is my favourite pixar movie! So when I found a book that has superheroes I was in! First off these characters are not the good guys…there the bad guys. They go out of there way to stop the synadite often getting people hurt or themselves. It’s a dark twist to the classic superhero story that most people would be used to. I remember playing Renzei fangs route first and I was not ready for the season 2 finale! That was a gut punch! I still get emotional thinking about it.

Wicked lawless love had a western setting, the MC stumbling upon this town by chance while she’s trying to escape her crimes. However the town isn’t what it seems. The MC is a chaotic mess and I’m all here for it. The whole book as a steampunk victorian asethic to it that is a treat for the eyes. However, I would have to agree that the MC should have been a poc. Most cowboy’s where poc, and I wish there was more diversity. I was really looking forward to getting a Kellan, Cinder and a Belle route! Come on those would have been so cool!

Also….Envo is the best famailiar!

He just loves his mistress SO MUCH and will defend her no matter what! However, he can be so cute and gulliable, anyone remember the april fools short? He’d wanted to prank everyone and they totally played along with him. I love that so much!

Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for….! The number 1 best series of all time is….!

I do hope that the petition does work the stories still continue to live on in some way.

Yes, yes this is number one! Why?

You have a supernatural setting that is a mixture of twin peaks and the vampire diaries. Different types of supernatural being with who are surprisingly grounded. Yes there strong, but they do have limitations. Razi is a djinn but he can’t leave heavenfall because his powers weakens when he leaves the border. The MC is relatable and funny I laugh every time I read her diagloue. She might be the best MC in my opinion The CG’s are beauiftul to look at, have nice shots and colours that make the CG pop. These CG’s are more open to playing how the body moves where as the newest CG’s just look stiff.

However, most of all what I love most about this series is that you can see MC evolve with her relationships. For example, MC meets love interest>they act flirty>Start a relationship> Have some probelms> Grow as people> Get married> Have kids.

This has to be the best examples of lovestruck ending a series right. Even in the shorts you can see where they met and go through starting a family. That’s just leaves a smile on each players face.

I do hope some of these stories live on in some way, whether it’s the fans or the company itself doing something with these stories. Either way, it’s been fun and I love all you. 🥰💗😁😊
