I decided to use magic the gathering cards for my other typography however I don't think they look as good as the coins.
Some of the letters came out well and had a unique pattern too them.

I used 20 cents coins for one of my typography as I thought it would look interesting, it came out a lot better than I expected, I measured a small line at the top and bottom of the coins to make sure they all came out the same size, some letters went a small bit over the line but they still fit along with all the other letters pretty well.

During quarentine myself and my mother have been playing chess with a glass chess set. I decided to try take pictures of them in a dark room. To me they look very aestethic, I took a picture of the chess set a few angles and in different ares, I used these pictures as my final favourites

I decided to try do a theme on this day, the theme of dawn til dusk.
I took a picture of the cherry blossom tree in my yard at 7 in the morning and thought the view was nice as the sun rise made the sky in the background look pinkish along with the cherry blossom and the colours blended well together.
I took a picture of the sunset on one of my walks as it gets boring staying in side all day and thought it was a nice view with the orange sky and the trees being used as a silhouette.

Music/Artist: Dr Dre - I Need A Doctor
Date it was released: February 1st, 2001
Reference source: www.rollingstones.com
Designer/Agency: Aftermath (Agency)
Concept/Idea of the album artwork: The idea behind this album artwork is that Dr Dre has suffered a lot throughout his life such as car crashes and his son overdosing on drug. So the album cover could represent how Dre needs a doctor to comeback from his car crash or it could mean he needs therapy for the death of his son, hence why the label 'Aftermath' is on the album so is 'Detox' which could reference his son overdose and 'physical rehabilitation' which could reference his car crash.
Other relevant/Interesting information: Dr Dre released this album with only one song on it called 'I Need A Doctor'. However Dre has been described as a perfectionist and has wanted this song to be exactly what he wanted it to be.
Personal reflection: I think the whole idea of the album is great, using a sign from the hospital and rearranging the letters to make it into an album and have what looks to be a hospital in the background is very fitting for the album.

Music/Artist: Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Stadium Arcadium
Release date: May 9th, 2006
Reference source: Wikipedia.org
Concept/Idea behind the album artwork: The words stadium arcadium mean when there's a connection one feels to other humans and to the universe when creating or listening to music. The album cover shows the words in space with a planet orbiting the words, this could represent earth and the typography of the album cover is almost arcade like which is where a bunch of people would be in the same room listening to the same music.
Other relevant/Interesting information: When the lead singer wrote the lyrics for the song he said he was imagining a bunch of people gathered in the night sky to create music together and the sensation of the music was reflecting "the heaven above".
Personal reflection: I think the typography on the album cover is very nostalgic as it reminds me a lot of arcade games and arcades places, which is what I assume they were going for with the typography, I also like how they integrated the words into a space theme, the words representing us.

Music/Artist: Kanye West - Graduation
Date it was released: September 11th, 2007
Reference source: Wikipedia.org
Designer/Agency: Takashi Murakami (designer)
Concept idea behind the album artwork: The cover is based on Kanye's theme of student life. School. It's a place of dreams, of righteousness, a place to have fun. It's also occasionally a place where you experience the rigid dogma of the human race. Kanye's music scrapes sentimentality and aggressiveness together like sandpaper, and he uses his grooves to unleash this tornado that spins with the zeitgeist of the times.
Other relevant/Interesting information: When Kanye West released Graduation on September 11, 2007, it was the candy-colored, beatwise album that, famously, beat 50 Cent for a battle over release date bragging rights.
Personal reflection: This is an iconic album cover in the music industry as Kanye West wanted to create a story behind his album and make it iconic, in which he was successful doing, by making a character, making all the colours vibrants and making the art pop out.

Music/Artist: Oliver Tree
Date the work was created: February 16th, 2016
Reference Source: nsucurrent.nova.edu
Designer/Agency: Atlantic Records
Concept/Idea behind the album artwork: The idea behind album artwork is to show Oliver Tree's persona as he is a famous Internet person and wants to get it across to people who have found him through his music. He also wants to show off how unique he is as he's always rocking a bowl cut with baggy clothes and sunglasses.
Other relevant/Interesting information: One of the songs 'Hurt' on the album was inspired about a razer scooter incident Oliver had when he was younger where he broke a few bones in his wrist and it made him contemplate about being a 'Professional' Scooter person

Music/Artist: MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
Date the work was created: October 2nd. 2007
Reference source: www.reddit.com
Designer/Agency: RED Ink Agency
Concept/idea behind the album artwork: The idea behind the album is that it is meant to represent the themes of current apocalyptic confusion and post apocalyptic survivalism. The music is suppose to be a little confusing and not overly serious and reflects on current chaotic vibrations of the world. Visually, the album mixes mystic paganism, combined imagery from the 1970s and 2070s, fourth dimensional pop stylings and current neo-psychadelic fashions.
Other relevant/Interesting information: The song 'Time to Pretend' was written in senior year of college, music inspired by their pet praying mantis. Intentionally naive lyrics about being fated to be a rock stars and leave the comforts of normal life behind them.

Music/Artist: Gorillaz - Demon Days
Date the work was created: May 11th, 2015
Reference source: Pitchfork.com
Designer/Agency: Jamie Hewlett (designer), Parlophone Virgin
Concept/idea behind the album work: The idea of the album artwork is very similar to the beatles, let it be, album artwork however gorillaz album itself has dark and meaningful lyrics, each track on the album represents a confrontation with a personal 'demon'. There is also references to war, the Iraq war as two track songs are called 'Kids With Guns' and 'Dirty Harry' which shows a soldier rapping to kids in the desert.
Other relevant/Interesting information: The theme of this album was supposedly related to the proposed idea of a Gorillaz movie which was ditched when the designer Jamie Hewlett could not agree on a a script with the financiers.
Personal reflection: I think the layout of the album cover is nice, simple and memorable, I also like how the band itself is just illustrated characters and not actual people which shows how unique the band is and attracts more people

Music/Artist: Everything Everything - Get to Heaven
Date the work was created: June 22nd, 2015
Reference source: Amazon.co.uk
Designer/Agency: Adult Art Club, Andrew Archer (illustrated)
Concept/idea behind the album artwork: The album's lyrical themes are dark, focusing on global tensions and political happenings during 2014. The rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, media coverage of the 2015 general election in the United Kingdom, and various mass shootings influenced its writing. The upbeat sound of the music was composed to provide contradiction to the violent subject matter. One of the most noticeable pattern and theme about the album is the fact that history keeps on repeating itself.
Other relevant/Interesting information: Jonathan Higgs, who's the lead singer, also directed the song's music video, which is centred around a fight scene between two cavemen. The clip was filmed in Cheddar Gorge, Cheshire and stars British wrestler Ed Gamester. There are also shots of the four Everything Everything members performing with as little movement as possible. Higgs explained to Promo News this was because, "I wanted to create a strong contrast between the 'past' and 'future' scenes, to emphasize the primal nature of the past and the overly civilized future."
Personal reflection: I enjoy the illustrations of this album as it shows there's someone's body being taking over or still holding on, as the album is about war and stuff it shows how we're still stuck on repeating history, the colours are very vibrant and eye catching also.

Adobe animate
(sorry about the music)
Here's a rough video of what I have done so far on Adobe animate, I only started using the software today however once I got the basics down I was able to figure out some of the features pretty quickly. I like how it looks so far but I think it would look nicer if I cleaned it up properly and add more small features to make it feel more animated

Backgrounds
I did up some better background as in the storyboard idea they were unrealistic so I drew them up to scale, I was aiming for a DC comics style street however it turned out more cartoony than I expected but I'm still happy with how they came out. Paul showed me the power of using vanishing points for perspective in a comic style which helped a lot in making these background look more up to scale and better than in my storyboard.
