Monk (Way of the Kensei) Tabaxi

Trying out a new art style for this, but I’m playing DnD wit an actual experienced player who wants to try DMing, and they’ve been super helpful with all my questions!! He also played monk tabaxi, so I quickly settled on this. 

This fella’s name is Swift Jade (thanks, fantasy name generator) and he’s basically a wandering samurai catboy. My DM suggested either noble or outlander as his background, and since I had Kazuha asone of my fave genshin impact characters, I decided on a modified ‘knight’ (under noble) with a smith’s tools instead of a gaming set. 

My character sheet is ready but I can’t be fucked to put it here lmao

Drawing Breakdown (?)

The katana’s pommel has elements of the swords Amenoma Kageuchi and a veeeeeery little bit of Mistsplitter Reforged. Sheathe is completely outta my ass, as well as the jade coins, but the red strings over the chest is basically my version of Kazuha’s belt (also over the chest, though his is probably to secure his pauldron) and the one on the arm is taken from Raiden Shogun. Footwear is also taken from Kazuha. 

Colours are all my own pick, had a bit of trouble but I like the way the red pops out. I admit that the ribbon o the hair is because Heizou just came out (though his is more to keep hair out of his face, like a rope headband) and though it looks very similar to Kazuha’s ponytail I just like that kind of hairstyle. 

I was originally planning to add patterns, but I got a bit lazy in the end and couldn’t find a complementing colour to the blue, so settled on using the mountain brush on Krita, which looks decent enough.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH! 

I redrew an old drawing of mine really quick and added a background and everything, really happy with how this turned out. I put in a lot of the flag colours of my OC’s orientation and identity (which is consequently very, very similar to mine as well), though I added the rainbow stars because I thought they looked pretty. 

This took faster than expected, which is why I called it a ‘quick’ drawing, but tbh I put more effort into it than I thought I would. I guess I just wanted to create something awesome for Pride again, even if it’s just a redraw.

Been awhile since I drew my fave OC. This is a combination of a few old drawings from years ago. I even made a new font for it! 

I was looking through some old art when I cringed so hard I speed-drew this. Still, looking at this drawing and comparing it to the ones from years ago, I have to thank my new PC for being able to handle more than 50 layers without wheezing. 

Definitely worth it. I have a new bg for my monitor now!

Couple of birds hanging out under the full moon. I just wanted to draw wings tbh, and I got a couple bird species to base them off of.

I drew this in mid feb and it is now april. I'll try to draw more but idk feeling off and editing vids isso much fun (and takes so much time lmao) and uni ughhhhh

Both of them are loosely based off of specific species of birds: Moluccan owlet-nightjar and the blue-eyed ground dove. Tried to match up the background to their geographical locations, but again, very loosely, especially since the dove (the one on the tree) is found in a savannah-like place (as far as I know) and the owl is somewhere more foresty. I tried to give them something interesting to where, but in the end I only gave the owl something interesting since I can’t really find anything goof for the dove. I can hardly find anything for the owl, too, so I used a combination of all clothing (I can only find like 4 pics) of Maluku.
