Is there a thing that's like...bad doctor fatigue?

Is there a word for that?

Like finally getting your Dad referred to a needed specialist and him ignoring one of the two reasons you're there and then him man-handling the dude in the wheelchair when you were just told has a spinal injury? And then prescribing a med that interacts with basically everything the poor old man is taking?

There's a big big reputable med institution not TOO far away and I wonder if it's worth the hassle to try THEM. The drive would be a pain...but...ffs.

It should be illegal for a doctor to consistently make a patient wait literal hours. If they KNOW they cannot see all the patients DON'T SCHEDULE THAT MANY???

Some people can't sit up that long?!! My Dad's gonna be a wreck by the time I get him home and WE HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN THE DOCTOR YET.

I got back from dad's doc appointment in enough time to build a quick pinhole box camera for the eclipse for my nephews! It works great! ....but it's cloudy today! :(

Imagine being the head of a two-bit gang who gets roped into raising some feral children for a sorta crooked cop from your hometown so he doesn’t turn you into the feds because he doesn’t want them to grow up in danger because of their family criminal connections but he also won’t bother raising them himself and then basically the second the youngest is grown and out of your eyesight this fucking deadbeat is trying to get them arrested and/or executed for being criminals even though he forced you, a literal criminal, to be their only consistent adult supervision

I am basically doing nothing but taking care of my parents now, which is fine, I *LOVE* my parents (according to everyone online I have the only good pair of parents in the world?) but man I also really need a vacation.

Can't do, am broke. But I need some kind of enrichment lol.

All I've been able to do is read some One Piece while in waiting rooms. Been too tired to do much of anything once home. "Couple of YouTube vids & then fall asleep" is about how it goes.

Ive been pretty broke my whole life so vacation doesn't mean anything fancy but I def need something.

I haven't had any time for art, either. Bleh.

(I'm in a pretty decent mood but there's a lot of stress regardless; American medical system is veryveryVERY evil, not even hiding it at this point. Like Mom's insurance site lists the doctors that are in-network, but no one is actually in network, aaaaaaaaaaaa)

Nobody takes the insurance my Mom signed up for this year. Nobody. She's in intense pain but she can't even go to local clinics. What exactly do I do now. Their website says "oh sure that doc is in network" but they never are.

What's the point. And how do I fix it.

This is terrible.

Well I was going to be home today but my nephew spilt boiling water on his (already injured!) foot. :'( My poor baby.

If I was superstitious I would think my family was cursed or something.

Have basically been doing things for my parents all the time lately, and the one time I've been home for a while has been to catch up on laundry/etc.

I'm not minding this because I love them intensely, I'm apparently one of the few people in the world with awesome parents (if the Internet is anything to go by). But I am TIRED and also INTENSELY wanting to do art.

I have two commissions in the pipeline but haven't been able to actually do much of anything to them and I feel really bad. But I'm just not home. If it doesn't change in a week or so I may contact you to pause/cancel.

I hate it, because I love art so much and also do verrrrry much need money, but holy crap I am not home long enough/too tired when I am lol.

The good news out of all this though is that my Dad can actually walk again! Sort of. Short distances. But that's a huge deal (he needs to be able to make it to toilet/shower chair because I am not physically or financially capable of taking care of him otherwise). His mind is still very much going, but he can walk some again! This will also hopefully help him with blood clots.

I hope this made sense I'm pretty dang tired 😆

Kitten went to her forever home today and. I am just so sad. I wanted to keep her at this point but one of my cats has high anxiety and it was just NOT working out. But, kitten should be fine at new home. Bye, my smol baby (she's pretty big here but she was a runt.) I should hopefully be able to see her occasionally!!
