I've been taking medicine for ADHD for like 7-8 years now and I went to therapy for so goddamn long to learn to cope with my mental illnesses, and not ONCE did anyone even MENTION this...but apparently I've been suffering because of it my whole life and literally just now found out

I always think ADHD is just such a common thing, it always just gets pushed aside and treated as just a casual thing, like some kind of 'dollar store mental illness' or something. It's so easy to get caught up in the stigma and forget that this is actually something that is a big deal, and should be respected and treated much better than it is.

There's so much to ADHD, it's not just some kid with extra energy or someone who's 'bad at paying attention.' It's valid and real, and it shouldn't be as trivialized as it is.

Hey!! I’m super nervous about this but ADHD Awareness Month is winding down and I really wanted to share some information on rejection sensitivity before it ended. This is a defining feature of ADHD that is often overlooked, despite how harrowing it can be for those of us who experience it! My main goal here was to remind my fellow ADHDers that they are not alone!
