It's not a stone any more, it's a whole planet! We've been working on this model for a long time and with enthusiastically.

KATSU already has a great reputation for soft stone poufs.

But why limit ourselves?

LUNA is not a pouf. LUNA is a wall-mounted acoustic panel that absorbs high and (some) mid sound frequencies and creates a certain acoustic comfort next to it.

LUNA will create a softer and more conversational atmosphere at a café table, and much less of what you say will be reflected from the wall and drift towards your neighbors).

Multiple LUNA panels will create an acoustic comfort zone in a bedroom or a meeting room (we can make them in different sizes).

3. SOME TROUBLES

By the rules of the genre, this is the time for an obstacle to emerge, so that our heroes could bravely overcome it. But ours is a story of evolved love of two mature human beings who have already figured themselves out. Two people who know how to give, receive and hear each other.

The main difficulty was not to create needless difficulties, and to use the strong points of both to the maximum.

Why call regular improvements, rush jobs and relocations "difficulties"?

They are merely challenges that our team is successfully addressing.

Baby Stone model

Once I wanted to make a stone for my friend's birthday. It wasn't intentional, but it turned out looking so much like a swaddled baby that everyone who saw it immediately started rocking it in their arms. That's how the name Baby Stone came about. Later on, for some entirely inexplicable reason, the name passed on to our new model that had a suspiciously similar pattern. ⚡️The stone became very popular and formed the basis of our most popular Conference Set. Now our Baby Stone model is a KATSU classic. It is almost always a part of our orders. And I think that we've refined it to perfection.

2. LOVE STORY

In 2016 Victoria met Anton. They have a lot in common. Victoria is a Buddhist who practices Tai Chi, and Anton is an Aikido teacher. They gently fuse Eastern philosophy and Zen with a love of travel and Western pragmatism. Victoria and Anton travel a lot together and are practically inseparable. Victoria's artistic vision and Anton's management skills fused into a single force that allowed the business to break out of their small workshop.

In 2017, their daughter Flora is born. You can see her in some of the photos.

This is how KATSU gradually became a family business and a family brand.

The story of the KATSU brand is a story of searching, love, wisdom and sensitivity.

l. CONSOLIDATION (BEGINNING)

The word KATSU is the short version of Katsura, Victoria's creative pseudonym. Only much later did we learn what this word actually means and how surprisingly and spontaneously this puzzle of meanings has come together.

Victoria is a professional artist who graduated from the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design in 2002 (Russia). The idea of making large interior pouf stones emerged from their resonance with nature and Zen philosophy. At first, they came to life on a small scale - as jewelry, brooches and souvenir stone pillows. However, they very quickly grew into an independent product: KATSU stones.
