Beautiful and Deadly (John Shelby)
Tumblr media
John Shelby X Female Gold Reader
Warnings: Mentions of Death, attempted rape, murder, season 5 spoilers, cursing.
A/N: Pretend that that thing in season 4 never happened. Esme Who?
“John Shelby you BASTARD!” Everyone in the Garrison turned to face me, rain-soaked and furious. I pushed through the doors of the bar and marched straight up to him. People moved out of my way quickly, they knew a man standing in my path of rage was a dead man.
John looked up at me with a smirk
“Yes darling, how can I help you?”
“I asked you no- I told you not to buy me anything. So why did I find this when I got home?” I held the perfectly wrapped parcel in my hand. It was a necklace box with a now soaked satin bow. The wrapping still intact.
“Did you look inside?”
“I don’t want your poisonous gifts.”
“Open it, love.”
“Don’t call me love!” I slammed the box on the bar next to him and went to turn away but he carefully caught my waist turning me to face him with a flick of his wrist.
“Sorry, I can’t help but want to spoil you. I want to see you wrapped up in silver and gold and the world’s finest silks. You deserve jewels and castles and fine china.” He drew a circle with his thumb on my hip.
“I’m not some woman whose love can be bought. A toy for you to play with. A woman to bear your children” I tore away from his grip and stormed through the bar. “Get back to your drinking you nosey fucks!”
A few days later I was sitting at Tommy’s dinner table next to Ada and Finn. As the eldest Gold child, I had taken my father’s place after his death. Burdened with the task of carrying out the Gold and Shelby alliance. My people needed me to keep them safe and with the Blinders on our side, that was all possible. Of course, it hadn’t been my dream to be a gangster or part of a family full of lies and deceit. I wanted to go to school, I wanted to be a journalist. Tommy had asked me to join the family, whether it was out of pity or respect I didn’t know.
Bonnie and I stuck together like glue, thick as thieves. I have sisters and we get along well but they eventually married or settled into gypsy life in a way that was different than mine. I was close to my father, his little fox. He, Bonnie, and I did everything together.
John caught my eyes from across the table shooting me a dazzling smile. “Beautiful.” He mouthed.
“No.” I mouthed back.
He laughed and averted his gaze to chat with Arthur, leaving me alone for the rest of dinner. After a ride home form Johnny Dogs I decided to take a walk. I enjoyed the still of the evening when the street lamps were on and people were locked in their houses. I walked past the waterfront where the frogs called out in the warm summer air and the smell of coal subsided for a moment giving way to the musty smell of the water.
It was one of my favorite places, it reminded me of a secret walk John had taken me on after one of Bonnie’s fights when we were both buzzing on Gin and lingering glances. The night where he reached for my hand, his fingers ghosting over mine and I fell for him.
As I walked I noticed the footsteps behind me.
“I suggest you leave me alone,” I said, without stopping or turning to face the man behind me.
“What’s a pretty thing like you doing walking alone at night?” I ignored him continuing my stroll slowly reaching to make sure the knife hidden in my garter was still there. I knew this path well, if I made it to the tunnel ahead I could run through it and be only a few houses down from my door.
The man’s pace began to pick up, so I too walked faster, nearly making it to the tunnel entrance before he caught up to me.  He was of average size and height, clearly not from here. Most people knew I ran with the blinders, most people knew not to mess with me for fear of retaliation from Isaiah or Charlie or worse —Arthur.
He pushed me into the brick wall of the building that lined the canal.
“Let me go,” I said, locking eyes with the man.
“No, I don’t think I will.”
To be fair to the idiot he didn’t know who my brother had been, and that I had boxed, wrestled, and trained with him for fun. That my father had taught me how to shoot and kill and strangle a man with a necklace. The man had me trapped between his arms, he left my hands free assuming that I wouldn’t fight back.
“Let me go.”
“No.” He laughed in my face, breath stinking of rot and cigarettes.
“Fine.” In one swift movement, I kneed him in the groin, pushed his left arm out of my way, and moved from his trap just in time for his head to smack into the brick wall as he bent forward cupping his manhood with a yelp.
“Bitch.” he spat, reaching for me. I dogged his hand hitting him with a mean right hook and a kick to the knee cap. He went down and I turned to run only to be caught around the ankle. I hit the ground hard. Skinning my hands and elbows as I braced myself. He pulled me toward him, roughly flipping me on my back and crawling over me with a snarl. He grabbed a fist full of my hair yanking it down. I grimaced in return but no sound left my lips.
“You’ll pay for that.”
“Don’t like it when your victims fight back?” I growled, spitting in his face. He released my hair to hit me. His palm was harsh against my cheek. He ripped my dress, buttons scattered across the cobblestones. I squirmed to get away and he dragged me backwards again forcefully gripping my thigh, his fingers digging into my flesh.  As he moved to unbuckle his pants I pulled the knife from my thigh. “This isn’t your first time doing this, I can tell, but it will be your last.” I cut his throat. His blood splashed across my face and chest. He gargled for a moment then went limp. I heaved his body off mine leaving it there beside the canal.
I made it to my house two minutes later closing and locking the door behind me heading towards my bathroom to clean up.
“What the fuck happened.”
I turned to the voice in my living room, lifting my knife towards the intruder only to find John standing there with a terrified look in his eyes.
“Jesus Christ.” I tossed the knife on the hall table and continued to the bathroom.
“What happened, are you okay?”
“I’m great John.”
He caught the door to the bathroom before I could close it. His eyes were ablaze. “Whose blood is that”
“Some man attacked me near the canals. I left his body there.” I wet a rag and began to wipe the blood from my face. If John was shocked that I had killed a man he didn’t make it obvious, he turned on the bath filling it with warm water and oils.
“Here, let me.” He took the rag from my hand and gently wiped the blood off my face and chest. We stood in silence for a few minutes as he worked. I gripped the porcelain sink behind me as the pain from my fight began to sink in wincing as he cleaned my palms. “What were you doing out there alone?”
“Why were you in my house?”
“You forgot your bag in Johnny’s car, he asked me to give it to you. What were you doing out there?”
“That’s all you came here for? How did you get in?”
“I have a key, and I wanted to talk to you.”
“About what?”
“Doesn’t matter right now.” He stepped away to turn off the water in the bath testing the temperature with his hand. “Get in. It will help with your muscles. Give me your dress, I’ll take care of it.” I stared at him until he turned covering his eyes even though his back was towards me. I slipped out of my dress and underthings quietly calling his name. He held his hand out and grabbed my dress shutting the door behind him as he left, his eyes never opened.
After about twenty minutes I emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in a robe. I made my way to my bedroom where John had laid out my nightgown. Once I was dressed he appeared in the doorway.
“Uncle Charlie is taking care of the body. Tommy is finding out who the man was. Are you sure you’re okay?”
“I think so.”
“Why didn’t you call? I would have walked with you.”
“That would have been more dangerous.” I shook my head sitting on my bed.
“You do know who I am right? Nobody would attack us.”
“I’m not afraid of others.”
“I would never hurt you.” He took a step back in shock.
“John, I know that. I...never mind. What did you want to tell me?”
“I wanted you to open this.” He closed the gap between us, handing me the box that I had scolded him for in the Garrison a few days ago.
“John.”
“Please.”
I sighed, uniting the ribbon, pulling the box from its wrapping and removing the lid. There, in a bed of silk, sat a beautiful silver knife, its handle covered in beautiful filigree. It was a piece of art. The prettiest thing I owned. “John. It’s beautiful.”
“Beautiful and deadly, like you.” his fingers brushed over my cheek where a bruise was sure to appear tomorrow.
“Thank you.” I smiled, catching his hand with mine.
“Of course.” He let go of me and turned to leave when he reached the door, I stopped him.
“John. Stay with me.”

Broken Crystals Chapter 5 (Kylo/Ben X Female Reader)
Tumblr media
Part One, Part Two Part Three, Part Four
Story Summary: (Set Before the Force Awakens). Supreme Leader Snoke has arranged s marriage between Kylo and the Princess of a rich outer planet.  The Princess could be a dangerous threat to Kylo.
Story Warnings: Death, Violence, Blood, Swearing/Cursing, Steam (Eventual)
Chapter Summary: After the attack at the Gala, Kylo and the Princess find peace on a planet far away from Snoke and the resistance and the fighting.
Chapter Warnings: FLUFF, Cursing
I woke up on the floor of the light cruiser to the warm feeling of the sun on my skin. I curled up like a cat before stretching out my limbs and immediately knocking my hand into something. I shot my eyes open in pain.
I was alone on the light cruiser, the bay door was open and sunlight poured in. Ben had landed in a field at some point last night but most of it was a blur. I was angry and crying and screaming and then, I remember nothing. Slowly, I made my way to the door basking in the sunlight and breeze as it washed over my skin. The cruiser was surrounded by tall green grass and flowers. It was a paradise.
“I’ve missed you,” I said looking up at the sun, closing my eyes, reveling in the feeling.
“Good Morning” Ben’s voice pulled me from my thoughts. He was standing at the end of the ramp wearing trousers and a black undershirt. Although I had seen him in less before it was still startling to see him so undressed. He was beautiful in the sunlight, freckles that I had never seen before dotted his face his eyes were a warm brown color reflecting in the sun. His pale skin had begun to glow in the sun's warmth if he stayed out long enough he may even tan. He was handsome. Truly handsome. Suddenly he laughed. “You really think I’m handsome?”
I glared at him, “Stay out of my head Ben”.
“Let’s go on a walk”
“What about people seeing your face?”
“Were safe here. People dont know me here.”
“What about me?”
“No one will recognize us.”
“Get changed.” He pointed to a neatly folded pile of clothes. They were for a man, probably him. A long white tunic and belt, black trousers and a vest. I looked down at my gown still covered in blood and decided changing would be smart. I pulled off my dress and Ben looked away pretending to be interested in the field. I ditched the trousers and made the too long tunic into a dress securing it with the belt. I went barefoot, wanting to feel the grass under my feet.
Ben helped me down from the cruiser keeping my hand in his before I shyly pulled away.
“I’m sorry about your friend.” He said, after a few minutes of walking in silence.
“Me too, she was a good person.”
Hey. He paused, turing to face me, “I’m not sure who that man was or how he knew me. I think it was Snoke, controlling someone.”
“It doesn’t matter. It’s done. They’re both dead.” No emotion laced my voice.
“You were amazing. You’re powerful.”
“Sure, thanks to your training.”
He smiled at the compliment. “You know you have to choose me right?”
“You’re truly so naive that you think I have a choice?” I don’t look up at him as I spoke. Focusing on the flowers around our feet.
“I’m not an idiot. You have no choice. But if you don’t pick me. They’ll kill you.” He spoke with urgency. Grabbing my hands to get my attention.
“I’m dead either way. If I don’t pick you they’ll kill my family and then me and then take over my planet and destroy it” I yanked my hands from his grasp. “ If I pick you. That’s it, I’m a First Order sympathizer. My life is over. The princess becomes the dark Queen.”
“Of you choose me you can help protect your family and your planet. You’ll have a say in how the first order uses your planet. Your people.”
“Bull shit.”
“Please. Pick me, don’t get yourself killed.”
“My options are, death or be a slave to the first order.”
“You will not be my slave.”
I scoffed, “Not yours; Snoke’s and Hux’s.” He didn’t deny what I had said this time.
“When we get back to the base. They will call for a meeting. They’ll need to know what happened. Who you're loyal to. What side you choose.”
“Ben, please stop.”
“What.”
“Please don’t do this.  Don’t use this fake ‘I care about you’ bullshit. You only care about yourself.” I waved my hands around as I talked, anger building up.
“That’s not true.”
“This has never been about you being interested in me. Hell, I’m supposed to kill Kylo Ren. Revenge for my sister.”
“Then why haven't you?”
“I don’t know.” I turned from him taking two steps away. “I can’t”
“You won’t”
“No, I can’t”
“Try.”
I turned to find his hand stretched out, his saber in it.
“Try.” he tilted the weapon at me a hint to take it from his hand. He had the intense look in his eyes again. The one he got when we would spar and I got hurt, or when Hux would address me in a way that Ben thought was inappropriate. He looked through me. His gaze a warm heat in my chest. I reached out, taking the blade from his hand.  “Please.”  He whispered. I locked eyes with him trying to dip into his brain but he blocked me. My hands shook and he used the force to ignite the blade in my hand stepping forward so it nearly touched his chest.
“Stop it, Ben.”
“I thought this is what you wanted. Me dead.”
“Not you, Kylo.”
“Then what do you want?” He leaned forward, I reacted quickly, taking a step back, so the blade didn't touch his skin.
“Peace.” I cried. “I just want peace.”
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry I killed your sister. I reacted poorly. I didn’t understand my power, or maybe I did. Truly. If I could bring her back, I would. Please, forgive me.”
I turned the saber off and tossed it aside. “Thank you.”  He stepped forward. Wiping the tears from my face as he did in the cruiser.
“They will find us. They will need you to make a choice.”
“I know.”
“You would be by my side, safe.”
I tilted my head to look up at him. The look in his eyes was soft, his breathing slow. I reached out placing my hand on his chest. “They’ll want a dark queen.”
“Then give them one that fights for herself, right under their nose.”
I thought about it for a moment. He was right, it was the safest option, and the best way to fight for myself and Ben and my planet and family.
“I choose you, Ben Solo.”
He smiled leaning down and capturing me in a kiss, his hand wrapped around my waist pressing me into him and his other held my cheek. Finally, we had to part. He rested his forehead on mine.
“Thank you.” he whispered kissing me again.

Preferences: First Time in Battle:
How the Star Wars men react to seeing you experience your first battle.
Warnings: Mentions of Sex. Steamy. Cursing
Tumblr media
Poe Dameron:       Poe is proud to say the least. You’re with the resistance, you have been for years. Usually, you’re making plans with Leia in the command center and not on the field, but you’re battle-trained and he knows it. Since the attack on Crait, your involvement had to change so when he sees you pick up a blaster and run straight into a crowd of troopers he’s turned on by your bravery and recklessness.
“What is Y/N doing?” Rey yelled fighting troopers alongside Poe.
“Fighting!”
“No, they’re risking their life that’s what they’re doing. They’re a lead war strategist! ”
Suddenly a blaster beam flies past Poe’s head and a Trooper drops to the floor behind him. You rush over and glare. “Get your head in the game Dameron.”
“Sorry, babe you’re distracting me. Watching you mow down troopers really does it for me.”
“Now’s really not the time. You cocky bastard.”
“Sorry, I just. Wow. Look at you.” He gestures at you, covered in blood pausing to shoot a few troopers behind you before grabbing you by the waist. “We’ll have to celebrate your first battle later.”
“My Stars Poe. You can reward me later all night long, but for now.” You shoved him away. “Fight!”
Tumblr media
Finn:
Finn is in awe. You were strong and beautiful. He and Rose had met you on a recruiting mission. Rose was wary, mostly because you were rich and inexperienced in war. But Finn, he trusted you. When it came to a small battle after the fight on Crait Finn was nervous about letting you fly in a fleet of X-Wings you had paid for, for the resistance. He fought on the ground, watching for your fighter with the star on the bottom. You were fast and accurate. Easily knocking out several enemy ships before circling back and taking out some of the troopers on the ground. You flew low to the ground. Dangerous. When the battle was over and the resistance had won Finn ran up and embraced you.
“You were incredible. How did you learn to fly like that?”
“My Uncle is a pilot. He taught me everything I know.”
“Well, you give Poe a run for his money.” Finn laughed. You realized then he was still holding you. “Sorry.” He said stepping away.
“Don’t be.” You smiled, “I don’t mind.”
Tumblr media
Kylo:
Kylo was worried. He couldn’t reach you. No matter how hard he tried. You had been grabbed by resistance fighters and you were doing your dammed best to hold your own. This was not your war. You should have never been on the field but you were. You followed him, trying to stop him from leaving and killing. It was his fault you were now being dragged by the hair behind some resistance fighter thrashing to get out of his grasp. Everyone knew who you were. Kylo Ren’s lover. His light. The key to his salvation. Finally, your hand wrapped around something a tree branch. You swung it, successfully whacking the resistance fighter causing them to let go. You scrambled up, brandishing your stick like a lightsaber. Kylo advanced towards you using the force to mow through the battle. You beat up the fighter. Hit. Hit. Hit. Sending him to the floor, unconscious. Suddenly, a blaster beam came flying towards you but it stopped midair. Kylo froze, he knew you were powerful but this was new. You used the force to deflect the blast and then turned to Kylo.
“I love you.” He mouthed. He knew it was true.
Tumblr media
Hux:
The General is completely turned on. When a few rebellion members made an attempt at destroying a ship you quickly put an end to it. You had heard murmurs of it from your little spies that you had on different planets. They didn’t call you the Queen of the First Order for nothing. You deployed a few troopers to squash the uprising before it could happen.  Hux watches a live feed of the events from his office. You lead a group of troopers to the small rebellion base and quickly put an end to the uprising. You had to take out your blaster, specially made for you, after a resistance fighter got a good right hook to your eye. You shot him, then you took a few of the leaders out. Hux’s pants grew tight as he watched you fight.
“It’s done, General.” You said into the comms unit when the group had been diminished.
“Good.”
“We’ll be back on the base soon.” You smiled at him via hologram and wiped your brow pulling your hand away to find blood-stained fingertips.
“You’re hurt, my Queen.” Hux narrowed his eyes.
“Not at all.” You smirked licking your blood off your fingers. Behind you, Hux could see the destruction of your raid; bodies and fire made a beautiful backdrop.
“Come back for your celebration of a job well done.” He smirked. “I want to give you a reward for your hard work.” He tapped his belt and thought about how he was going to fuck you over his desk as soon as he had the chance.

It’s not a setup (Flip X Female Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Patrice and Ron convince Flip to go to a concert with Patrice's friend, it’s not a setup but they know the pair will like each other.
Warnings: Alcohol, Flirting
Story Type: One-shot
______________
Flip, Ron and Patrice made their way through a crowded outdoor concert venue. It was the mid-summer concert series and Patice had convinced Ron that Flip needed to get out of town. The headliner was supposed to be Led Zeppelin, which was the leverage Ron used to convince Flip to leave his dam house for the weekend.
“I can’t believe you dragged me to this. I have shit to get done.”
“You and I both know you don’t have shit to do. You just want to sulk at home.”
“Will the both of you give it a rest, you argued the whole way here.” Patrice let go of Ron's arm gently shoving him to prove her annoyance. “Why do you get us all some beers, and Flip you get one for my friend. She should be meeting us soon.”
“Patrice, I swear to God if this is you trying to set me up with one of your friends again.”
“It’s not a setup! She wouldn't like you. She's too good for you anyway. She's smart, graduated top of the class, and now she works for the Gazette as their lead photographer. She's out of your league.”
“Patrice!” The trio turned the direction of the voice which had interrupted their argument. A young woman ran over, in high waisted shorts and a t-shirt with “Play More Zeppelin” printed across the chest. She had a camera on a strap slung over her shoulder. She enveloped Practice in a hug.
“Hey gorgeous, how are you. Break any hearts yet?”
“Not yet!” She laughed, pulling away from the hug and motioning at Patrice.  “Look at you, I'm in the presence of a goddess.”
“Thank you.”
“Hey, why do you take that from her but not me?” Ron finally interrupted the chatter. Nudging his girlfriend.
“Hello Ron, how are you?” The girl hugged him.
“Currently? Annoyed that Practice only takes compliments from you.”
She rolled her eyes at him and turned to Flip. “Who’s your friend Ron, why haven’t we met before?”
Ron looked over at Flip who was quietly staring at the young woman. “Y/N, this is Flip, he’s my partner. Flip this is Y/N, she led the Women's Student Union at the University. Her and Patice met at a demonstration. They’re nearly inseparable now.”
“You’re a police officer?”
“Yes, Mam.”
“Interesting.” she smiled looking Flip up and down. “Well, I’ve got us a seat, why don’t you follow me! It’s really the perfect spot.”
The trio followed her to a shady spot on the hill overlooking the stage. It was less crowded than the seats below and the view was perfect. She had a few blankets laid out, some throw pillows, a Tupperware container filled with something and an ice chest. Her shoes, Chucks, sat next to her blanket and it was only at that moment that Flip realized she had been running around barefoot.
“Welcome to Chateau Y/N.” She waved her arm in a dramatic manner. “Please make yourself at home, I have snacks and water.” Patice kicked off her shoes and plopped down on one of the blankets.
“Ron, Flip, go get those beers we talked about.”
“I swear, hanging around a feminist has made you even bossier.”
“Hey! What do you have to say about feminists Ron? Want to say it again? ” Y/N turned to him pointing an accusatory water bottle in his direction a smile on her lips.
“Nothing Y/N.” He shook his head in laughter and grabbed Flip’s arm. “Let’s go.”
The two men wove their way back through the crowd and over to a booth selling beer.
“So what do you think?” Ron asked as they waited in line.
“I’ll probably order two Coors.”
“Not of the beer, you idiot, of Y/N”
“What. I thought this wasn’t a setup.”
“It’s not! But you were looking at her funny so I was just wondering.”
“She beautiful, but I don’t have any thoughts, I just met her.”
Ron sighed. It really was going to take the end of the world to get Flip shacked up with someone. They ordered the beers and made their way back to the two women who were taking photos together with Y/N’s camera.
“Ladies, we come bearing gifts.”
“Thank you, gentlemen!” Patice took the beer Ron handed her, patting the blanket next to her for him to sit.
“Looks like you’re next to me Big Man.” Y/N moved over so Flip could sit down next to her on the only available blanket space.
“This is for you.” Flip said moving to hand her a beer.
“Oh no! You didn’t need to buy me one! Hold on, let me get money.”
“No it’s fine I don’t mind.”
“Let me get money!” She leaned over Flips legs, her chest brushing his thighs as she reached for her bag, digging a dollar out of one of the pockets. “Here!” She said triumphantly as she sat up, holding the money out before him.
“I don’t need that.”
“Please take it.”
“I don’-” Flip stopped mid-sentence as she stuffed the dollar into the front pocket of his flannel. “I’m a big girl officer, I can pay for my own drinks.” she plucked the beer from his hand and leaned back on her elbows next to him. Flip eyed her carefully. Patrice lied. Y/N was his type and Patrice knew it. The group chatted for a few minutes before the first set started. They all listened and sang along quietly until the first two bands finished. And Zeppelin was slated to be up next.
“I have something.” Y/N smiled mischievously at Patrice.
“Oh no.”
“Wait one second.” She jumped up from the blanket and hopped over Flip. He watched her long legs slide by and gulped. She was really beautiful. She leaned over the ice chest and looked over at Ron.
“Promise you won’t freak out.”
“Now that you’ve said that, I’m not sure I can make that promise.”
“Please Ron.”
“Fine. I promise.”
She smirked and pulled a handle of whiskey from the cooler. “Drinks anyone?”
“Goddammit Y/N did you sneak that in?”
“Technically yes.”
“Technically, that could get us in trouble.”
“So let's not get caught.” She smirked sitting down in her spot again and taking a swig. She moved to share the bottle with Flip. “Have some.”
Flip looked between her and Ron. She had a mischievous glint in her eyes, Ron looked mad.
“Come one Flip. What are you going to do? Arrest me?” The way she said arrest me made Flip's stomach drop. Her eyes grew dark and she tilted the bottle towards him. She was flirting. He grabbed the bottle, his large hand closing over hers before she let go. Flip took a few large swigs of the drink and passed it to Patrice.
“Oh, he's a bad boy cop. I like this one Patrice.” She turned to smile at Patrice who shook her head. Patrice and Ron left the whiskey, opting to drink water instead. Y/N took another drink before closing it up and placing the bottle back in the cooler. She then pulled out her camera and snapped a photo of the stage and crowd. “Quick, you two get together.” She snapped a photo of Ron and Patrice before having Flip take a photo of the three of them together.
“Okay, now you two!” Patrice took the camera from Flip.
“Oh come on, leave him alone he doesn't want that.”
“I don’t mind.”
Y/N looked at Flip and shrugged moving over to sit next to him for the photo. He reached out to grab her and in one swift movement had her sat between his legs her back pressed to his chest.
“Oh shit.” she laughed looking up at him with a blush on her cheeks. “That was something.”
“Smile for the photo,” he said his arm pulling her tighter into his chest. Patrice snapped a photo but kept the camera up to her eye and she rolled the film. Flip could feel her heart beating rapidly and he smirked. “Am I making you nervous.” He teased.
Y/N wiggled out of his grasp and turned on him, now she was straddling his waist. She placed one hand delicately on his chest and drew her face along his neck and to his ear where she placed a gentle kiss. His hand on her waist tightened. “Am I making you nervous?” She whispered.
“Hey lovers, look at me.” Ron broke the tension and the pair turned to face him. Patrice snapped another photo.
“Oh that one will go up at their wedding, that's for sure.”

These Violent Delights: Diego Hargreeves X Reader
Story Summary: Diego and Y/N were supposed to be having dinner. Things don’t go as planned.
Warnings: Rated T: Cursing, Violence, Death, Fluff, Crap Writing
Story Type: One-Shot
Requested: Nope :)
Tumblr media
Diego burst into the foyer of the Hargreaves childhood home, carrying a young woman in his arms.
“Pogo! Mom! I need help.” He made his way to the medical room. “Mom!” Diego yelled again, this time more frantically.
Alison was the first in the room, tearing around the corner. “Diego, what’s-  oh my God what happened?” Pogo and Grace entered the room next.
“Diego, who is this?”
“Does it matter she’s going to die, help her!”
“Why did you bring her here and not the hospital?” Alison rubbed her face at Diego’s stupidity.
“It’s not that simple.”
Grace was quick to get to work pulling the unconscious girl’s shirt off to reveal a large and long gash along her abdomen. Obviously a knife wound. Her skin was hot and covered in burns.
“What happened? Who is she?” Luther was in the doorway, glaring at Diego.
They first met in the condiment aisle at the grocery store. Diego has been staring at the honey selection for too long, not really looking at anything before she spoke up.
“Get the Clover Hill Farm’s brand! It’s the tastiest.”
Diego jumped at her voice, slightly startled and turned to face her.
“Sorry, didn’t think I’d scare you.” She laughed, grabbing a bottle herself and setting it in her basket.
“You didn’t, I was just lost in my head.” Diego finally took in her appearance. She was beautiful. Simple as that. She smiled at him. yes, beautiful, like the sun.
“Whatever you say,” she laughed,  “like I said Clover Hill Farm’s is the best, it goes great on peaches with fresh brie on a crostini!”
“A what?”
“Bread” she chucked. “Sorry, I shouldn’t have bothered you, you just looked so concerned and I love food so I always try and sneak suggestions in when I see people contemplating. It’s a bad habit actually. Pretty Intrusive. I should stop doing it.” She was talking to herself by the end of the sentence looking down at the floor.
“It’s fine, really. I don’t mind. But to be honest I’m not a good cook, I’m a fan of protein shakes and the microwave.”
“Now that’s just a crime, everyone should know how to make at least one good meal!”
“Well, maybe you have to show me how. I’m Diego by the way,”
“Nice to meet you, Diego, I’m Y/N.”
___
I knew something was wrong the moment I arrived at her place. The wind chimes that hung on her porch swung wildly and the screen on her front door banged open and closed.
“Fuck.” I dropped the flowers I had for her in the grass and ran around the side of her house towards the backdoor. I could see men moving around in her back office.
“You won't find anything. I destroyed it all a long time ago.” Her voice floated through the window. A man held her by the throat, a gun to her head. She’s alive.
“Shut your mouth no one gave you permission to talk.”
“You know, you should leave soon, I’m expecting company. I wouldn't want him to walk in on this cheap excuse for a robbery.”
“Shut her the FUCK UP!”  One of the men smacked her across the face. The wind grew stronger outside, leaves swirled up from the floor. The front door slammed open and closed more quickly.
“Where do you keep the information?”
There was silence.
“Answer the question bitch.”
“Oh sorry, I’m getting mixed signals here, I thought I wasn’t supposed to talk.”
“Can I kill her? God, I really want to kill her.”
“No.” There were a few bangs and the sound of a chair sliding across her hardwood floor. “Listen, You stuck your nose where you shouldn’t, now you have to pay the price. Tell me where the papers are or I’ll gut you like the slimy little fish you are.”
Thunder cracked above the house so loud the windows shook. A flash of lightning hit the conductor on her roof and the whole house lit up in blinding light.
“What the fuck is going on outside? Ryan, go shut that door.” This was my chance. I ran around to the front porch, broke the lightbulb covering the porch in darkness.  One of the goons stepped out, looking around the porch to see what all the noise was. The rain started then, heavy and fast. I reached out, grabbed the guy by the head pulling holding a knife to his throat. “How many of you are there inside?”
He shook his head no so I dipped the edge of my blade into his skin.
“How many?”
“Four.”
“There’s a good boy.”
I plunged the knife into his chest gently set him down on the porch and slipped inside closing the door behind me. Thunder cracked outside again followed by a stronger flash of lighting. The wind whipped at the house blowing the glass out of one of the windows in the kitchen.
“Alright, freakshow is over. Tell me what you know.” The voices grew louder.
“NOTHING!”
“I’m done playing games with her.”
I made my way through the kitchen. Two glasses for wine stat on the table with a bottle of red, vintage. She has good taste.  I had finally made it over to the door to her office. “What’s taking so long? Go check on him.”
Another goon exited the room and I promptly tossed a knife in his back and he fell to the floor. Lighting lit the house up again.
“What the hell is that?”
“I told you, you didn't want to be here when my company arrived.”
“Is that a threat?”
“It’s a threat and a promise” I answered from the hallway and tossed a knife. It flicked around the room sinking into the chest of the third guy. The last one quickly grabbed Y/N.
“Who's here?”
Y/N chuckled, thunder shook the house, books fell off the shelves and scattered across the floor.
“Let her go.” I stepped into her office knife ready to leave my fingers. The man held her against his chest, a large knife at her stomach. Hand around her neck.
“Ohhhhh, look at you, playing around with his children now?” The man grabbed her by the jaw whispering into the side of her face. “I thought you knew better than to get mixed up with your work.”
“Fuck you.” She laughed, lightning struck the house again, lighting it up. She began to glow. Sparks flew from her fingers. The storm outside was like nothing else. The window in the office shattered and rain poured in.
“Let her go.”
“Diego Hargreeves, nice to meet you!”
Y/N locked eyes with me, “Throw them, Diego.”
And I did. Three silver knives glided through the air turning end over end. They circled around the pair headed for the man’s back. Y/N lit up, her eyes white with electricity, lightning came through the window striking her and everything metal in the room, including the knives as they plunged into the back of the man's neck. He shook from the electricity falling to the floor in a lifeless heap. For a second silence overtook the room.
“Shit.” Y/N looked down to where his hand had dragged his knife across her abdomen slicing her open. She grabbed her stomach as she fell.
___
Diego was pacing back and forth. He ran his hand through his hair. “Shit.”
“Diego, what happened? Who is she?” Luther grabbed his brother by the arm, stopping his pacing and directed him to a chair to sit.
“She’s my girlfriend.” He stuffed his hand into his pocket grabbing the small black velvet box and pulled it out flicking it open. Alison gasped at the sight of the sparkling ring.
“She’ll need blood.”Grace interrupted.
“I’ll do it.” Allison quickly pulled off her cardigan.
“Thank you.” Pogo started the transfusion. It was quiet for a few moments. The monitor she was hooked up to began to beep at a normal pace, her skin began to heal itself.
“Diego, what happened, how is she doing this?”
“She’s a reporter, she did some digging, looked into a string of robberies and murders connected to a gang about two years ago. The robbers came after her searching for the evidence she collected against them. The evidence she had already turned in to the police. They were supposed to be arrested later this week. The robbers attacked her, she attacked back, she’s one of us. Can control lightning and storms. She electrocuted herself and one of the goons, it was a bolt bigger than I think she ever has ever conjured before. As she did it the guy cut her open. And here we are.”
“Why didn't Dad get her when we were little?” Klaus was eyeing her carefully. Diego shrugged.
“I was going to propose tonight. Tell her that I love her. Ask her to be my wife, to be my everything. To start a family with me, a real family. To grow old with me.”
“Yes.”
Everyone's heads snapped to the young woman.
Diego lept out of his seat. Cradling her face. “You’re alive!’
“I’m alive and yes, I’ll marry you.”

Broken Crystals || Part 4 Kylo Ren X Female Reader
Tumblr media
Part One, Part Two Part Three
Story Summary: (Set Before the Force Awakens). Supreme Leader Snoke has arranged s marriage between Kylo and the Princess of a rich outer planet.  The Princess could be a dangerous threat to Kylo.
Warnings: Death, Violence, Blood
“Are you sure?”
“Positive.”
Ben was sitting on the foot of my bed. Running his hand through his hair. I could see his reflection in the mirror. He was handsome when we were alone and he let the weight of the first order fall off his shoulders. I was preparing for the gala after training when he barged into my room, dripping wet from his own shower.
“But you haven’t spoken to him about it.” He grew impatient. His voice dropping lower.
“No, But I know what he’ll say.”
“But-”
I groaned, slamming my mascara on the counter, “Kylo, I gave you the answer already. Please stop asking me.”
“But you want one, yes?”
“My stars Ben, Honestly.” I felt him tense at the use of his birth name. “You’re usually not this talkative, why are you pushing this so hard?”
“Why aren't you pushing this?”
“It’s suspicious, that's why. Why would I ask my father for a kyber crystal?
“We can’t continue training if you don’t have a saber.”
“So I will learn to use the force and not a saber, how is that a bad thing.”
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. And Hux walked in. I had grown accustomed to the lack of knocking on this base. “Oh, hello Ren.”
“General.”
Kylo watched him curiously as I stepped out of the bathroom, still in my robe. Hux quickly adverted his eyes. I was covered but hardly. Ben had seen me this way before. I pretended not to see Hux's eyes travel down my body.  “My apologies Princess, I didn’t realize this was a bad time.”
“It’s okay General, Kylo and I were just talking. What did you need?”
I just wanted to remind you that your cruiser leaves to party in one hour. Kylo, it's good you’re here. The Supreme Leader would like to speak with us. It seems as if the Princess will be completing this mission solo.”
Kylo shot up. “Solo? She can’t go alone.”
“Oh, I cant? Why is that Kylo?” I pointed my makeup brush at him as if it was a weapon.
“The Supreme Leader would like to meet with us now. Princess, your escort will be here soon, it’s best you get dressed.”
The two men left me alone to finish getting ready. I looked back at where Ben had been sitting upset I’d have to go alone. When did I begin to like his company? His presence.
_______________________________________________________________________
The throne room was cold. It always felt cold. Maybe to distract the mind keep it unfocused. Hux and Kylo stood in its dark expanse. One glowering the other head lifted with pride.
“And the union with the girl, it's been solidified?”
“Most likely Supreme Leader.” Hux nodded curtly, hands clasped behind his back.
“Most likely?”
Hux sneered, “She has to choose Kylo Ren.”
“Choice! You’ve given her a choice?” The room shook with Snoke’s anger. Kylo took a deep breath in.
“We were not instructed to take her as a prisoner, Supreme Leader. She is a Princess, she must be treated fairly. If we were to treat her like some prisoner I suspect it would look bad and the resistance would rise to meet that action.”
The supreme leader turned to Kylo, surprise written across his face. “Dark Prince, do you have feelings for her?”
“I never said that. I am telling you why we have given her a choice. Although, I am quite positive she will choose me.”
The Supreme Leader laughed, inhaling slowly and looking down at Kylo. “You can’t hide your ambitions from me nor can you hide hers. You know this.”
“Yes, Supreme Leader.”
“Well, make sure that she chooses you, whatever the cost.”
“Yes, Supreme Leader.”
With that, Snoke disappeared and Hux turned to look at Kylo. A dark smile across his face. “Do you have feelings for her?”
Kylo turned abruptly stomping out of the throne room. “No.”
_______________________________________________________________________
The party was in full swing when I arrived. Senators and Royalty mingling and mixing with each other seeing what kind of deals they could strike up.  I had truly loved these types of parties;  mingling with the elites of other planets and systems to secure deals had been a strong suit of mine, one my father had been rather proud of. I had selected a deep red dress for the occasion. The color of Kylo’s lightsaber. There was virtually no back to the dress and it drew attention from everyone. A server passed by me, handing me a champagne flute of some sparkling drink.
“Y/N!” A voice called out among the crowd.
I turned and smiled at the young woman running towards me. “My goodness, Mae I’ve missed you!” We came together in a hug her strong arms wrapped around me like an animal starved for attention. Mae was a life-long friend; her mother was a Senator and worked closely with my father. Mae was a pilot and a great one at that.
“How long has it been?”
“Too long!” She giggled. “My mother says you’ve been off on some political mission for three months and that it's highly secretive.”
“Now where did she get this information.”
“Who knows! People love to spread rumors in the Senate, you know how it is. But really, you’re so pale, it's like you haven't seen or felt the sun in a month.”
“Sometimes it feels like that! Truthfully, I’ve just been on a tour of the system! I needed to getaway. Its the anniversary of my sister's death soon so I wanted to spend some time solo. Figure out what happens when I take the crown.”
“I’ll find out if you’re lying to me, you know that right?”
“I know Mae.”
“Well I’m off for now, there was a Senators daughter giving me the eyes earlier, I think I’ll go introduce myself.”
“Have fun.” I laughed shaking my head at her.
With that, I headed to the bar. The best place to listen in on conversations. A long row of men and women leaned against its surface. Asking for drinks or speaking in hushed tones. I looked around at my pool of people none of them looked particularly exciting that is, all but one. A young man with dark curly hair and an ill-fitting suit. He looked uncomfortable. Like he didn’t quite fit in. I finished my drink and made my way over to him. He was handsome, and tanned and had a cocky smile stretched across his face as soon as he noticed me.
“Hello.” I smiled, “Could I buy you a drink.”
“Does royalty usually offer to buy someone lower than them a drink or is that just you?”
“I’m just nice.” I smiled. “So what will it be?”
“You pick.”
I turned to the bartender, “Two Yub Nubs please.” My new friend laughed, leaning back against the bar.
“Nice choice. What’s your name?”
“Y/N. What’s yours?”
He hesitated, for a moment his dark brown eyes darting around the room.
“Mike.”
“Mike?”
“Yes, Mike.”
“Why are you using a fake name, Mike?”
“I’m not. My mother, rest her soul, named me Mike. ” Just then the bartender set our drinks down and I exchanged credits with him.
“Would you like to go for a walk, Mike. You seem uncomfortable in this room.”
“You seem to think you know a lot about me, Princess.”
“I don’t, it’s just an observation!”
Mike, or whatever his real name was, downed his drink and tapped the bottom of my glass. “Bottoms up, if you want to go for a walk you’ve got to finish that.” I shrugged, downing my glass and following him outside to the gardens. We wandered past an opulent fountain and I used my force ability to peer into my companion’s mind.
‘Stupid rich people. There’s a war to win and they’re here with these parties and fountains. They don’t give a damn about the resistance. Hopefully, this Princess has some good connections.”
Idiot. I thought. Of course, he would give away secrets so easily, at least unknowingly. He stopped, reaching up to grab his head.
“You alright?”
“Yeah, I just, have a headache, it must be from the drinks.”
“Why don't we sit down and talk.”
We came to a bench and sat down. He leaned in close pointing up at the sky. It seemed like the stars glimmered in response to him. I could smell him, a mix of cologne and engine grease. His hand had a few faint scars.
He turned to me, lowering his voice, “Have you spent much time in the stars?”
“More than I would like. I’m not a big space fan.”
“What! You don’t like space?”
“I come from a beautiful planet. I like the sun and the feeling of wind on my skin and grass under my feet.”
“I suppose that's all nice. Nothing beats the feeling of flying though.”
“Whatever you say.” It was quiet for a moment. Just the two of us enjoying each other’s company. I smoothed out my dress. Letting my hand gently brush his as I set it on the bench. “Can I ask you something?”
“Shoot.”
“Why are you lying to me about your name?”
“I’m not.”
“Please. You can’t honestly think I, a Princess, haven’t been taught how to lie and detect liars?”
“My name is Mike and I’m a senators son, a new senator, you’ve probably never heard of him.”
“Sure, I’ve never met a senator's son who is also a pilot that smells like engine grease and has the scars on his hands to prove he works in engine bays and not senate meetings.”
“What are you some sort of detective? Fine, you want the truth I’ll tell you the truth.”
“I’m here looking for people to join the resistance. I was hoping you could help me. My names Poe.”
“Figures you would be out here with the best pilot in the resistance.” Mae made her way around the fountain a smile plastered to her face. “You always got the boys growing up.”
“Hello Mae” Poe and I greeted In unison.
“So? Are you going to join us? Join the resistance? Convince your father to help out the cause.”
“I don’t know, you know he likes to stay neutral.”
“You can’t be neutral in a war like this.”
“I know but,-“
“Hello, Princess.”
We were interrupted by a male voice behind us. Mae reached for her blaster but was stopped almost immediately grabbing her neck gasping for breath.
“Mae! Are you okay?”
I turned to find James, the ‘Senator’ from my first day on the star destroyer with his arm outstretched, fingers pinched.
“What are you doing!”
“Taking out the enemy Princess, we are the First Order, not the Resistance. You’re talking with the best pilots the resistance. We should destroy them while we have the chance.”
I stood anger turning in my chest, “Let her go.” Mae collapsed her knees hitting the ground hard. Poe was at her side trying fruitlessly to help her.
“Poe, tell the others” she choked out. “Leave me.”
He turned betrayal in his eyes before he ran.
“Let. Her. Go.” I spat.
The senator laughed. A horrifying chuckle. “For the First Order, Princess.”
I reached out. Centering my breathing and used the force to push the man backward. “Let her go.” Mae’s head rolled forward. I began to choke the man. Stepping forward and pushing against the fountain’s edge. I squeezed tighter as Mae grew limp. I could feel her life force slowing, leaving her body.
“LET. HER. GO!”
The man shook his head no. With no air to talk. I reached my other hand up and used the force to pull the top of the fountain from the base. The water shook at the force the concrete and metal statue cracking and groaning. The man smiled closing his fingers. Mae fell to the floor lifeless. I felt blind at that moment, blind with rage. I took the top of the statue and pulled it through the man's chest blood splattering across my face as the tip of the fountain burst through his lungs. He looked down surprised.
“The dark side is strong with this one Ren.”
I turned to find Kylo behind me with windswept hair and wild eyes, saber ignited at his side. He had run here from somewhere. I turned back to the man and pulled the rest of the statue through his body he fell to the floor in a heap.
“Mae.” I scrambled over to her but Kylo stopped me before I could reach her. Easily pulling me into his chest.
“We need to leave.”
“I’m not leaving her.”
“Yes, you are.”
I struggled to get out of his grasp, shoving against his chest. Kylo let me go, and I made my way to Mae’s body, desperate for any sign of life.  “You can’t be here when the resistance finds this. When the Republic finds this. You’ll be tried for murder.”
“He killed her! Bastard! He knew you, without your mask, he’s seen your face. Only the highest have seen you without your mask. Who was he?”
“I don’t know. I’ve never seen him before. We need to go, Y/N.”
“No.”
Kylo took a deep breath. “Please.”
“I can’t leave her.”
“You have to.” He reached down and grabbed me as people began to pour outside. Someone had alerted them to the madness.
“Ben, no.”
“I’m sorry.” He roughly pulled me behind him and we ran, fleeing the scene and clambering into a light shuttle. I  Slumped into a seat wiping tears from my eyes as  Ben powered up the vehicle and prepped it for a jump. “It will be okay. We’re going to figure this out.”
“Why were you here?”
He didn’t answer his tightening his fingers around the wheel. “Hold on.” I rolled my eyes, and he took off pressing a few buttons and sending us flying through space at light speed. After a few seconds, we stopped closing in on a green and blue planet.
“Ben.”
“I felt you, you were scared. I was on the planet making sure you were safe and I felt your fear. Are you okay?”
“NO! One of my friends just died.”
He turned, using his thumb to wipe the blood off my face. “I’m sorry, I was too slow.”
I pulled away from him. “What are you doing?”
“Saving you.”

Broken Crystals || Chapter 3 (Kylo Ren X Female OC)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sorry, it took so long to get this out. Two family members died this month unexpectedly so writing was put to the side as I figured things out.
Part One, Part Two
Story Summary: (Set Before the Force Awakens). Supreme Leader Snoke has asked Hux and Kylo to visit an outer planet rich with resources and wealth in an attempt to convince the King to align with the First Order. Part of the deal is an arranged marriage between Kylo and the King’s eldest daughter. The daughter, while beautiful, could be a dangerous threat to Kylo.
Warnings: None yet.
Kylo stood across from me dipped down at the waist his lightsaber glowing a menacing red at his side. His hair was in his face, chest rising and falling with deep breaths. I circled around him my eyes never leaving his. Sweat beaded down my face, my hair stuck to my shoulders and neck.
“Again,” he commanded, beckoning me forward.
“Let me breathe.”
“You’re enemies will not give you time to breathe.”
“You’re my enemy.” I spat.
At that, he lashed out. In two quick motions, he had knocked the metal sparing pole from my hand and force pushed me into the wall. He kept me suspended a few feet off the floor, pushing me flush against the black metal surface. “If you want me to fight you like an enemy, I will.”
“Good.” I smiled. “Do it.”
He dropped me, I fell to my knees positive I’d have large purple bruises there by morning. This was our third time practicing together, the first two had been about mediation. Lifting small objects and reaching out to the force. Today was different, today, he wanted to spar.
“Get up.”
I picked myself off the floor and reached for the pole. He quickly used the force to send it across the room. I glared at him and walked over to pick it up. Again he used the force to knock it away. “Stop that.”
“Use the force. Not your legs.”
I reached out, the poll wiggled on the floor before flying through the sky and landing in Kylo’s hand.
“You’re weak. Hardly even a force user. You think you could kill me and you can’t even pull a metal rod to yourself.”
I growled charging at him. He reached out and stopped me mid-run. Easily holding me still with the force before tossing me away again. I landed on the face first, pain radiated across my body and my lip split open. I stood, slowly. I could feel the blood streaming down my chin and I tried to reach out with the force to my sparing rod but he only chuckled, pinning my hands behind my back with his mind as he circled me. He was so close I could feel his breath on my neck. He stopped in front of me a slow smirk on his lips.
“No wonder they sent your sister away. She was strong with the force. You’ll never reach her potential. She would have been a great force user. Too bad her life was cut so short. You’re filled with anger and hurt but it fizzles away before you can use it. Pathetic.”
I could feel my body growing red hot with rage. Every word he spoke sent anger through my bloodstream, I wanted to rip his head off his shoulders.
“I hardly have to concentrate to hold you back. You’re Weak. Worthless. Powerless.”
I snapped. White light filled my vision and I let out a scream. Somehow I used the force to release myself and to send Kylo flying back to the floor. He landed on his back and I used the force to grab his lightsaber leap over to him and land straddling his waist, igniting saber at his throat.
I was shaking, blood poured from my lip dripping on to his chest. He smiled up at me.
“There it is.” He smirked, eyes ablaze. “How does it feel?”  I ignored him pushing the saber closer to his throat. “It feels good doesn’t it?”
“It feels incredible.” I wanted to kill him right then and there. Use his own saber to separate his head from his body. He wrapped his hand around mine on the hilt of his saber.
“Remember this feeling. Use it to power and fuel yourself. Your parents were right. Sending you and not your sister would have turned you. But now I’ll be here for you. You’ll have me when you come to my side.”
“I’m not choosing a side.”
“You already have.” He glanced pointedly at my hands one pushing him into the floor and the other wrapped tightly around his saber, still held at his neck. I shut the saber off and got off of him. Sitting on the floor at his side. He sat up too, wiping the sweat off his brow with the back of his hand.
Suddenly his comm unit went off, we had a meeting with Hux in 40 minutes. Both of us glanced over to the blinking mechanism. Kylo sighed deeply, his head falling back.
“Why do you dislike each other so much?”
“Jealousy, pride, anger. They run deep within Hux’s mind. Something he can’t work past to make our relationship civil.”
“He’s always polite with me, I’ve never seen such things?”
“You're a beautiful princess. Of course he’ll be nice to someone who looks like you, with as much power as you have.”
“That’s not true.”
“Sure.” Kylo stood, and offered me a hand to pull me off the floor. “Shit.” He ran his finger along my jaw right under my lip. He pulled it back covered in blood. “I’m sorry.”
“I’m not.” I smiled. “The training is good. The force, I feel it more now. I’ll take a busted lip for that.” I began to walk out of the training room I was at the door when Kylo stopped me.
“What are you going to tell people when they asked what happened?”
“I’ll just tell them about all the rough sex we’re having.”
“You will not.”
I shot him a wink. Leaving the room and heading to my quarters to change for the meeting.
I arrived at the meeting late. I had gotten lost so it wasn’t all my fault and the trooper assigned to follow me was not helpful in getting us back.
“You’re late Princess.”
“My apologies General, I got lost.” I took a seat at the table next to Kylo.
Hux turned to me pulling up a holographic chart as he spoke.“Princess, we have a question for you. It seems we are running low on iron. Your planet has a few iron mines. Do you think you could contact your father and ask him for a shipment of 200 units in iron.”
“What would my father receive in return?”
“In return?”
“Yes, in return for the 200 units of iron.”
“Princess, we were hoping it would be done as an act of good faith with the first order.”
“An act of good faith? General Hux, I say this respectfully, but it seems as if you don’t quite understand how Iron is mined. My presence here is your act of good faith. You’re lucky my father has sent away the next-in-line for the crown from one of the most prosperous outer planets to aid on your counsel and marry one of your leaders.”
“I meant no disrespect, Princess.”
“I understand General. I am letting you all know. My father is a good man and our people follow him with good reason. You can not expect him to ask our people to mine for iron and to get nothing in return. Most of our exports are done for credits or within the barter system. Many good men and women have died mining for iron. It is a service that is not free.”
“Fine. We will provide the labor and 300 credits for any who volunteer to train and lead our men. How many people does it take to come across 200 units of iron?”
“How quickly do you want it?”
“Within two months.”
“150 strong and able bodies should do the job.”
“Good. Seek counsel with your father, let me know what he decides.”
The meeting went on for an hour or so longer. I was bored. Financial talks and war planning had never interested me. My body and mind were tried from the two-hour training in the morning. My mind drifted. I looked over Captain Phasma who wore her helmet even in this meeting. I wondered what she looked like with it off. I continued scanning the room, several senators were seated around the table and I noticed that one from the bar wasn’t here. Our interaction was growing stranger and stranger, not a single person knew who he was. Maybe he was a spy for the resistance.
Suddenly Kylo’s hand was on my thigh. He squeezed it causing me to jump slightly in my seat.
“Pay attention he whispered” in my ear.
“I am.”
He raised his eyebrows at me.
One of the senators was staring at me, clearly waiting for an answer, “Does that sounds okay with you Princess?”
I wasn’t listening and I could tell by the look on Kylo’s Face he knew it. “Say yes.” Kylo whispered to me again.
“Yes.”
“Great. I’ll have all of the details uploaded to your comms unit tonight.”
                                                      ~:~
“A spy mission!” Kylo was watching me pace back and forth in my room. After the meeting, he ever so graciously told me what he made me agree to.
“It’s a simple party, I’m sure you’ve been to hundreds like it before.”
“Yeah, never as a spy though. Kylo, people know who I am. I can’t pretend to be someone different.”
“You don’t have to. No one knows that you are here with me. People think you’re still on your home planet. Loyal to no one but your father.”
“I am loyal to no one but my father.”
Kylo took two steps back when I said this. Offended that I wasn’t loyal to him.
“All you need to do is ask the right questions, get information from the other royals and the senators, the ones who are loyal to the resistance or to no one. I’ll be there too, just hidden away in your room.”
“This is an overnight thing?”
“Yes.”
“What if I say no?”
“You don’t want to defy Snoke. These orders are direct from him.”

Dangerous: Billy Hargrove X Henderson Sister
Tumblr media
Story Summary: (Set in Season Two Episode 2). Billy is taken by Noelle Henderson, the smart, confident best friend to Nancy. When he sees her at Tina’s Halloween party that night. He knows he’s in for it.
Warnings: PG 13 (Crying, Mild Cursing, Drinking)
Story Type: One Shot
Requested: Nope :)
To be fair Billy had no idea Noelle Henderson was off limits. All he saw was the pretty girl with the wild hair from his math class walking home from school in tears. For a moment his cold heart warmed and he began to slow his car down next to her.
“Noelle Henderson, I need to chat with you after the bell rings. As for the rest of you, I expect you’ll spend the evening beginning the new chapter homework, and reviewing your test grades.” The bell rang and everybody bolted out of their seats leaving in their wake spare papers and a few pencils rolling across the floor.
“You wanted to speak with me, Mr. Avery?”
“Yes, It’s about your last test grade. There’s a reason I didn’t hand yours back with the rest of the class. You failed.”
“I what?”
“Noelle, It became clear to me that someone cheated off your test. You must know that we have a zero tolerance policy for cheating so you understand that I had to fail you.”
“Mr. Avery, are you kidding me, you do know I would never purposely let someone cheat off of me, right? I’m trying to get into Stanford and USC, I struggle enough in math as it is, it’s my one non-honors class. I can’t fail this test.”
“You also can't let people cheat.”
“I didn’t!”
“There’s nothing I can do. Here’s your test, just know I expected better of you.” Mr. Avery handed me my test, a large’ F’ was scribbled across the top of the page in bright red ink with a frowning face, as if I didn’t already feel bad. I had to leave the room quickly, hot tears welled in my eyes and my cheeks flushed. I quickly stopped at my locker grabbing my books before beginning my walk home. I had never received an ‘F’ before, not even in math but there it was, the page slowly becoming wet from my dramatic tears.
-- “What are you doing?” Max looked over at her brother who had slowed his car down to a near stop, something he hardly ever did, especially after having nearly just ran over the boys.
“Max get in the backseat.”
“No.”
Billy gave the girl a firm look “Max. Do it.” She grunted, tossing her skateboard and her backpack in the backseat before climbing back herself. Noelle was walking slow, something new to Billy. It seemed as if she always walked fast with a purpose, speeding from one class to the next.
“Noelle!” Billy rolled his window down and slowly drove next to her, she ignored him. In the backseat, Max did everything she could to hide her laughter. “Hey, Noelle!”
“What?” Noelle turned to the car, an annoyed glare appearing behind her tears.
“Why is such a pretty face like yours covered in tears? Did a boy to this to you? Was it your friend Steve?”
“Boys have nothing to do with my tears. Besides its none of your business.”
“Come on, get in, I’ll give you a ride home.”
“You don’t know where I live.”
“You can tell me.”
“I have two legs for walking, thanks though.”
“Noelle.”
“Billy, how do you even know my name. I’m not exactly your type.”
“And what type is that?”
“Dangerous.” With that Noelle began walking faster.
Billy laughed, “Noelle Henderson, stop being stubborn and get in my damn car.”
                                                       ~:~
I rolled my eyes and against all better judgment stopped to get into Billy Hargrove’s car. I figured I was having a bad day as it was so why not make it worse? Maybe I was a glutton for punishment.
As soon as I was seated Billy started with the questions. “Now, why are you crying.”
“I’m not.” He reached out to touch my cheek as if to use my tears as evidence, but I quickly slapped his hand away, “Careful, I bite.” That earned a giggle from the girl in the back seat. I turned to her and smiled, “Noelle.” I said sticking my hand out for a shake.
“Max.” She shook my hand.
“So you’ll introduce yourself to her but you won’t give me the time of day?”
“Us girls gotta stick together isn’t that right Max. Besides Billy, I’m in your car now aren't I?”
Billy rolled his eyes before putting his car in gear. “Where do you live?”
I gave him instructions and the car was silent for a moment. “Someone cheated off of me in math class and Mr. Avery gave me an F on the test for it. I’m trying to get into college and I can’t afford a low grade on a test. I need straight A’s and I already struggle in math I just don’t get it. Now someone fucked up my whole 10-year plan and I don’t know what to do. What if I don’t get into Stanford or USC what am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to make it?” As I confessed this the tears started again.
Billy gently laughed, “You have a 10-year plan?”
“Yeah I have a fucking 10-year plan, do you think I want to stay in Indiana my whole life? I want to move to California. I want to run my own business, I want to make something of myself. Now I’m in your car crying my eyes out and making myself look like an ass.”
“You’re not making yourself look like an ass.”
We turned down my street and I instructed Billy to stop a few houses away from my own. I gathered my things and slid out of the car, angrily brushing the tears off my face. “Thanks for the ride.”
“You going to that party tonight?”
“Do I look like someone who goes to parties BIlly?”
“No. You look like someone who could use one though.”
I scoffed. “Gee, thanks.”
“Come on, if I see you there we can share a drink.”
“Okay Billy,” I rolled my eyes, “If I see you there we’ll share a drink.” With that, he started his Camaro and roared down the street. I had to admit, he was a little bit attractive, especially in that car. I walked the rest of the way to my house and tossed my backpack on the floor in the living room.
“Noelle! Nancy called for you! She wants you to call her back.” My mom was in the kitchen pouring a bag of candy into a large Halloween bowl holding mews at the same time. “She wants you to go to that Tina girl’s party! I think you should too!”
“What? Mom, you can’t be encouraging me to go to a party.”
“Sure honey, go have some fun! Dusty can’t have all the fun on Halloween.”
“Whatever mom.” I laughed leaving her in the kitchen to prep for the trick-or-treaters.
“I got your tire fixed while you were at school, get dressed up, go to that party and have some fun!”
“Alright fine! I’ll go!”
Once in my room, I decided on what to wear. Something different, something fun. I pulled nearly half of my clothes out of my closet before deciding on going with Sandy from the end of Grease, a classic. I pulled on a tight pair of leather pants, a black off-the-shoulder top, red heels and a big blet. Although Dusty and I had a close relationship we only shared our curly hair when it came to looks. I took after my father, standing taller and thinner than my mother and brother, I thought I made a pretty good Sandy and since it was the only costume I could throw together I figured it would have to work.
Dustin and I stopped for dinner together before I dropped him off to go trick-or-treating and made my way to the party. I parked down the block to conceal my car and refresh my lipstick before heading into the lion's den.
The party was loud, and in full swing when I arrived. My main objective was to find Nancy, when I did I regretted it immediately. She was already tipsy.
“Noelle!” You came! And you look hot!”
“I always look hot Nancy.” I laughed, hugging her and Steve. “I was told by several people today that I could ‘use a party’.”
“You can, you’re an uptight bitch.” Steve smirked.
“And you’re a bully.” I playfully bumped Steve’s arm before turning away from the duo. “Well, I’ll leave you two alone. I’m going to find a quiet corner to hide in.”
I made my way through the crowd saying hello to a few people and earning a “she actually came to a party from a few others.”
Finally, I found my way to the kitchen where I sat on a counter with a bowl of pretzels and a cup of ‘fuel’.
“Well, well, well. Noelle Henderson actually came to the party.” Billy sauntered up to me clearly buzzing. He stopped at my knees placing his hands on either side of my hips.
“Billy! What a surprise! I thought you’d be completely wasted already” I looked over his attire, taking notice of his bare chest and open jacket. “Nice costume.”
“I should tell you the same thing. Sandy huh? Is that because you're a good girl going bad?”
I rolled my eyes at his flirting. “Sure Billy, but only if you’ll be my Danny.” I hopped off the counter my chest touching his. “So you better shape up.” I winked at him before pushing his chest away. He caught my wrist in his hand smiling devilishly when my cheeks flushed.
“You owe me a drink good girl.”
“It looks like you’ve already had a lot to drink Mr. Keg King, and I’m already drinking.” I wagged my cup in his face, to be truthful I already had a buzz of my own.
“I’m perfectly fine, and you could use a shot.” With that, he grabbed a bottle off the counter and found two clean empty cups. “Here,” he said, pouring me a shot. “Drink up, good girl.”
I groaned taking the cup from him and tapping it against his own. “Cheers.” With that I downed the drink and smiled at Billy wiping my face with the back of my hand as ‘Crazy on You’ came on.
“That’s more like it.”
“So what, are you going to ask me to dance or not?” I was surprised by my own confidence. Billy grabbed my hand and pulled me to the living room where everyone was dancing.
“I thought you weren’t a bad girl?” Billy leaned forward to talk to me, whispering in my ear.
“Good girls can’t dance?”
“Not like that”
I shrugged and turned around slowly shaking my hips with a smirk on my face. “I’m full of surprises Billy.” He caught my hips with his hands and pulled me into him.
“You lied earlier today.”
“What are you talking about?”
“You lied when you said you weren't my type.”
“Oh, and what’s your type?”
“Dangerous.”
