Hello, world. How are you? I am okay. Thanks for asking.
That’s right. I am addressing you.
No, not you. Or you. Or you. But, you. Who? You. The world. The one that spins and spins and spins. Thank you. No one ever addresses you, world. Instead, people are killing you while appeasing the being that they proclaim made you. I am sorry on their behalf. And I am sorry for my part. I can’t help it. I am a foolish human being, destined to always be the fool on the hill.
In any rate, thank you for existing. Although, space is a bit cooler (and far out…pun glory, there), Mother Earth is our home - and Mother Earth is what nurtures us foolish human’s into existence.
K.H.; 12/18/2021.

He felt emptied, a shell without emotions. Everything he touched brought death and grief. And it was like a disease that could spread across the universe.

There is in all things a pattern that is part of our universe. It has symmetry, elegance, and grace - those qualities you find always in that which the true artist captures. You can find it in the turning of the seasons, in the way sand trails along a ridge, in the branch clusters of the creosote bush or the pattern of its leaves. We try to copy these patterns in our lives and our society, seeking in the finding of ultimate perfection. It is clear that the ultimate pattern contains its own fixity. In such perfection, all things move toward death.

In that instant, the sun lifted above the horizon somewhere to the left beyond the end of the fissure. Colors blinked in the sand out on the open desert. A chorus of birds held forth their songs from hidden places among the rocks.

Dear film studios,
Please use these copies of an underground, unknown film series no one has ever heard of as reference for 4K restoration.
Not only are they the original 'original' films (that's right, Han shoots first!); and these look as prestine as modern films. They also include film grain and cigarette burns from the 35-mm source. This is as close as possible to experiencing these films on the big screen 40+ years ago.
That is all.

The critics were unkind to this film. I can understand why. Tonally, it is all over the place. It will be forgotten by the end of the year. I have a feeling, though, that this film will be considered a cult classic years from now - like 'Heathers' is today.
It's charming, funny as hell, and a bit dark (but not too dark). It's a hybrid of nostalgia and genres, pieced together like a frankenstein's monster. It limps about on screen a bit awkwardly, unsure of itself. But as time wears off, it learns to be the kind of film weirdo's like me enjoy.
Plus, this is directed by Robin Williams daughter. Bravo to her.

I am with the movie critics (and their negative reviews) most of the time with my own cynical viewpoint of new film releases. Once in a while, though; I watch a film that has an low score on Rotten Tomatoes, and wonder if I saw a different film to which the critics experienced.
'One Love' is one of those films. In fact, it was the kind of film I was picturing in my head as I was reading this Bob Marley biography over ten years ago. Beautifully filmed, wonderfully acted: a tasteful tribute to Bob Marley's legacy. Yes, it glossed over some details. There is a great documentary from 2012 that fills in those gaps.
If you are a Marley fan, I highly recommend 'One Love.'

Bad thing about being an idiot is you second-guess every single thing you do. And also the things you don't. You can't reel any of it back, though. I know that much.

It's not a good day to die. It's a pretty crappy day to die. Let me start it over, do it different - I'll watch Psycho and Halloween and Scream back to back like the trilogy they want to be, strung together with "Loomis," and then and only then will I go down to the cellar to see what that sound might have been.
