This is an obvious question I am asking because I want you to talk about your latest Beauty and the Beast AU: Do you dislike the Beauty and the Beast stories where the Beast becomes a conventionally attractive human in the end?
Yes. Since childhood. I understand that the "Belle" of the story never KNOWS that she just has to wait out the monster stage but I know.
I know.
And it makes it feel cheapened. It's why back when I was working on my Fairytale series Faeredoux (only got to the beginning of chapter 2 of Cinderella) I was very insistent on any version of Beauty and the Beast I do, the 'Beast' Bellamy would not be "cured" of being the Beast. He's a prettier version of himself but still is not human at all. Nor would the afflicted denizens of his home be completely "cured" of their affliction as even if they became human again they would still have 'scars' from their time afflicted. BUT would still have a happy ending!
