Every Sunday Killua, Gon, Leorio and Kurapika meet up to play "Dungeon x Hunter" (loosely based on DnD 5e) with Leorio as Dungeon Master. Why is Leorio the DM, you ask? Well, these nerds all met at the college roleplaying club two years ago, but recently, with Kurapika in law school and Leorio in med school, and Killua and Gon taking harder undergrad classes, no one has time to meet up anymore. Therefore, Leorio has taken it upon himself to DM their sessions, just as an excuse to get everyone together once a week.

Alluka, also a college student, is staying with Killua during the Christmas Break. Having heard about these Sunday roleplaying sessions from Killua, and especially about the antics of a chaotic multiclass druid/barbarian who keeps adopting all the animals (Gon duh), she asks if she can come along. The crew welcome Alluka into the nerd fold as romance gradually blossoms between Gon and Killua, and Leorio fights to keep Kurapika from ghosting them all as a stress response to lawschool deadlines.

Basically a heartwarming slice of life story about nerds playing Dungeons and Dragons. I'll be updating Wednesdays and Sundays until all the chapters are posted.

Hey there! Idk if you're taking recommendations at the moment, but there's an ongoing Killugon fic I'd like to recommend: The Wishing Hunt by fireolin. This is a fantasy genre romance/adventure fic that has a unique feature - the readers have the opportunity to vote at the end of almost every chapter to effect the outcome in the next! It's been super fun so far and I think it could be all the more fun if more ppl know about it. It's on both AO3 and tumblr!

Before he’s roped in to rule Whale Island, Prince Gon Freecss seeks a single personal wish that can only be found in the treacherous fae region of Aiai. If he is to return safely, he needs a bodyguard. Killua Zoldyck has no desire for such a job. He is an ex-fae assassin who hides his dark past. All he wants is a good night’s sleep, then to travel onwards to see his sisters. However fate has other ideas.

Aiai is full of romantic challenges. As they travel, Killua and Gon embark on a fake relationship to help keep them safe from the advances of fae in the region who wish to trap humans. They face incubi, nymphs, troupes of wild fae, enchantments, and physical challenges. Neither are looking for love, but the biggest romantic challenge for them both turns out to be each other and the terrain of their own pasts.

This is an experimental fic where I'm including your choices along the way. At the end of each chapter, there’ll be a link to a form where you can vote. The winning choices will help shape the story!

In other words: Gon follows his best friend across a zombie infested town to find said best friend's sister in his family's mansion while falling from high places, fending off zombies with some badass weapons, getting almost blown up and fighting same best friend's older, manipulative sibling all to make it back to the airport without getting infected and (eventually) reunite with his mom/cousin/aunt. Yeah. This is gonna be a piece of cake.

And he's in trouble. Not only was he overthrown by his eldest brother, but he carries a powerful magical artifact stolen from the Necromancer himself, and the Necromancer is hunting him.

But Killua knows Ging, so Gon knows that the exiled heir to the throne of the Zoldyck assassin-kings is his best chance - his only chance - at finding his father.

Within a split second, Killua rushed to his side, gentle arms embracing him in a hug. Gon was shaking, and he circled his arms back around his waist, resting his temple on his shoulder. His gut was telling him to get away and you’ll be hurt again, and it was growing louder. But Gon chose to ignore it, because he was safe and Killua wouldn’t do anything to hurt him. Killua was, if anything, a safe haven to him; it made no sense that he would subconsciously fear him, especially when he’s been with him for so long.

But to completely ignore the increasingly tense political frictions between the Summer and Winter Tropics after the disappearance of Winter Tropic Prince is a new level of blind ignorance that only Ging Freecss’ son seems capable of bearing.

Little do they know, faking an engagement to sneak a runway Prince into the Summer Tropic Palace and steal the kingdom’s legendary Soul Mirror is exactly the kind of thing Gon would do. The arrangement would prove lucrative to Killua and Gon both if successful. It asked for Gon’s expertise in planning a trip for two people in their mid-teens, a girl and a guy whose relationship was described only as “not romantic”. In the "Experience with extreme physical activities?” field, the girl’s level was listed as "Beginner, but willing to try anything :)" while the guy’s said, simply, "Don't worry about it."

Gon grinned - that probably meant the guy was an expert but too modest to say so. That, or he was trying to accommodate his traveling buddy. Gon scrolled down to the bottom of the email and paused, staring, for a long moment.

Three years after Gon, Killua and Alluka parted ways at the World Tree, Gon is running an adventure travel company, planning elaborate custom trips for his mostly bored and wealthy clientele who want to experience something dangerous (but not too dangerous). One day, he receives an email in his work inbox that's slightly different from all the others...

“Gon is exactly who I think he is. And he’s disappeared at the same time as-” Killua’s eyes dart from Illumi to the window, and he nearly glances to his desk, where the gold box rests. “At the same time as I released a jinni. I think you’re drawing the wrong conclusions.”

“Never trust the occult,” Illumi tells him. Killua knows he's right; his sister’s headstone is reminder enough.

But Killua has grown up with a sixth sense – the unusual ability to feel magic around him, traces of it on magic users, or the concentrated crackle of spirits made up of magic itself. And so Killua knows that the boy he met at boarding school is a far cry from the jinni that wears Gon’s face. But Gon is missing, and it’s Killua’s fault – he’s the one, after all, who released the jinni in the first place.
