wayv relationships!

⌗ kun ! ah.... one of the first members she met and got closer with. Before debut, Nct's china line consisted of Kun, WinWin and Renjun (circa 2015 when she entered the company). They bonded over the fact of them being foreigners and had to live in an unfamiliar environment. Though she’s not that much younger than Winwin, Kun felt like babying kina. He met Kina when she was 17, now that she's 24 he felt surreal. Kina often hugs kun as he is part of the bear line and is very comfortable. kun often call her by her chinese name or ‘lili’. fan fav moment — when they were filming for dream plan, it was seen in that kina laid down on her bed and took a short power nap. kun entered her room, supposedly to remind her to pack but he let her be and covered her body with a blanket.

⌗ ten ! ten was one of the debuted members she least encountered with pre-wayv. They don’t meet as much as the other members, since they weren’t in the same unit together and it was hard for them to interact especially during 2017 since ten hadn’t done any promotions (other than his station releases). they’re now close with each other, they bonded over the fact they're specialties being dance and vocals, also they're both multilingual. They have an inside joke between them that only the both of them could understand. Ten lowkey babies kina, he was pulled in by her rare tsundere persona that made him want to see it often. Surprisingly, ten doesn't tease kina that much, but if he does, Kina tolerates it. Ten created the nickname ‘lili’ that some of the older members use. fan fave moment — during an ig live, he, yangyang, and kina were talking. one iconic moment where ten asked yangyang whose baby is he, kina looked weirded out. So ten asked kina the same question but for her, she answered 'ten's' as a joke but Chittaporn was shook and yangyang was heard laughing in the background

⌗ winwin ! the members often comment that kina is winwin’s female version but outgoing. He is part of the first members she met and got closer with. mentioned beforehand, pre-debut nct china line consisted of Kun, WinWin, and Renjun. They often met during language lessons where kina would help him when he needed. now, Winwin adores and admires Kina. the reason was when both of them were still active in 127, kina was always there to translate some words for him to understand and sicheng appreciated it so much. they call each other by their real names often. fan fav moment — kina was helping winwin and renjun cook for the members during the last episode of nct world. Winwin was briefly seen back hugging Kina as a thank you for helping them and kina was seen trying to pat his back while facing the front. this became a trending topic among nctzens because we all know how winwin doesn't do hugs and rarely initiates one.

⌗ xiaojun ! Kina met xiaojun when they started preparing for wayv. The first thing kina noticed from xiaojun is his vocals, she loves it and will never get tired of listening to it. Xiaojun was offended that Kina doesn’t know anything about Harry Potter, he made it his task to teach and watch the series with her. Kina enjoys teasing xiaojun for some reason, whenever someone asks her why she likes doing it, she'll answer 'just because' every time. Xiaojun is one of the members that doesn’t treat her as someone older, Kina mentioned that she isn’t used to people a year younger than her treating her as someone older. fan fave moment — during awasz, xiaojun mentioned how kina laughed when he told her about their pair. He spilled that kina won't stop teasing him after the video of xiaojun and yuta resurfaced she can't stop teasing him for it.

⌗ hendery ! ah the clown, that’s what would kina say when people ask her opinions on hendery. She doesn’t mean it in a negative way but rather in a positive light (that was before she watched ‘it’ and stopped calling him that). They met when Kun introduced her to other chinese trainees he practiced with. He's often the cause of her laughing nonstop (but none of them can be mad at her). They got closer to the fact that they both love marvel and made a tradition of watching movies together. Same as Xiaojun, Hendery doesn’t treat kina as someone older. He was the one who started calling Kina ‘nana’. fan fave moment — kina was there when the iconic 'i want some chicken' was made. she was literally sitting in front of the table where the chicken was, peaceful eating. the moment hendery made his voice high-pitched, Kina laughed HARD. when the 'i want some chicken' happened, Kina was seen crouching on the floor seemingly crying and laughing at the same time holding her stomach. it was brief, but some fans notice hendery glance at Kina smiling a little.

⌗ yangyang ! Yangyang admires kina. He doesn't like to admit it but he had a teeny tiny crush on her during their trainee days when she took him under her wing. Kina thought him the ropes under sm and personally helped him with training when she doesn't have too much on her plate. After Kina's debut on 127, she made sure to visit the training grounds for him (also for Kun, Jungwoo, and Sungchan). To this day, Yangyang admires Kina for her dedication, mentality, etc. Yangyang sometimes teaches Kina German and in return (not that she needed to) she taught him a bit of Tagalog. When referring to Kina, he switches up from calling 姐姐 to just her name (Kina doesn't mind tbh). fan fave moment — when kina guested at yangyang's and ten's show to bake, ten kept on teasing kina. kina seemed to be unbothered by all of this, but yangyang stepped in told ten to stop (joking way ofc). Kina and Ten were literally gobsmacked by that and ten fake cried saying 'both of my babies are being mean to me.’ kina elbowed ten (lightheartedly) saying 'when was I even considered as your baby??' before going to yangyang wrapping an arm around him asking 'what was that yang?' to fans, yangyang seemed to be blushing before he answered 'it was joking' then proceeded to do the other task.

TIMELINE

1998 - early 1999

— was born on the 3rd of April in Beijing, China

— after one year of being her parents started to grow distant (but still took care of her well)

late 1999 - early 2005

— moved to Tokyo, Japan as her dad was stationed to work there

— been in contact w her mother but her parents aren't in talking terms

— was homeschooled while staying in Tokyo

— started her passion for singing after listening to beyoncé

late 2005 - early 2009

— moved to Manila, Philippines with her dad after changing jobs

— on and off contact with her mother for years, started to grow distant w her

— studied in a private school

— started volleyball as her hobby in early 2006 due to her friends' influence

— was introduced to kpop mid-2007

— started attending dance classes after being introduced to kpop

— In mid-2008 her passion for singing and dancing grew

late 2009 - 2010

— moved back to Beijing and settled there for good w her father

— went back to homeschooling

— In late 2009, she started to try audition for companies (via email), sadly, no replies

— started to self-study Korean

— consulted her father on wanting to move to Korea in order to become a kpop idol and audition

— In late 2010, her father agreed and let her move to Korea to audition and train

— asked for approval from her family and mother, her family was supportive but her mother was opposed to it

2011 - late 2014

— In early 2011, her mother agreed and supported her to move to Korea and audition

— after getting approvals and support, she flew to Korea in late 2011

— after settling, she started auditioning for companies (yg, starship, bighit, sm, jyp, yuehua)

— bighit was the first one to accept her, she started to train under them in early 2012

— while training under them, she became friends w bts (closer w the maknae line), gfriend's sinb, and txt's yeonjun

— after the scandal of bighit's female group, kina decided to leave the company in late 2014 and went back to Beijing

— after leaving, she is still in contact with her friends who were/are under bighit

2015 - 2016

— she continued homeschooling while living in Beijing

— she was scouted by an SMe agent on the street while walking home from grocery shopping

— she accepted and told her father about the news

— her father wholeheartedly agreed and let her leave for Korea again

— In early 2015, she flew to Korea and started training under SMe

— continued studying in SOPA

— she first met Johnny, bumping into him while touring around the building

— a week later, she met jungwoo after hearing they were the same age and got along

— was informed to be added to red velvet w yeri and trained a bit with her, however, she was later on pulled back and continued training.

— months later, she was introduced to the Chinese line (Kun, Renjun, Winwin)

— In late 2015, she only trained

— met sungchan through jungwoo

— In early 2016, she was casted as an extra in nct u’s without u mv.

— later on, she was announced to be part of sm rookies after her cameo.

2017

— In early 2017, she was announced to debut with Johnny in 127

2018

— when the nct 2018 project was announced within the group, kina overworked herself to catch up with the members, thus, resulting in her getting injured with a sprain on her knee.

— when the new members were announced, kina was overjoyed to be grouped with familiar faces.

— kina promoted with nct u for an sm station (timeless)

— kina didn’t promote touch with 127 as she is still healing

— joined black on black promotions after healing

— joined all 127 promotions (from Japanese to Korean)

— started practicing with the wayv members and got to know the members

— participated in two sm stations (wow things with female idols and hair in the air with the dreamies)

— for KBS gayo, she joined hush (orig: miss a) special stage with female idols

2019

— was announced to be part of wayv and debuted with them

— like winwin, she didn’t join any 127 promotions

— participated in nct u’s station coming home and was officially added into the unit

— along with lucas, was announced to be part of keep running (Chinese version of Running Man) cast

— In late 2018, her past injury acted up again. Weeks later, she underwent surgery and rehabilitation.

— during the MAMA, she was able to meet some of her old friends and had mini interactions on stage

2020

— she was able to promote with 127 for their neo zone repackaged album

— reconnected with the 127 members

— shortly after punch promotions, she participated in wayv’s comeback

— when the 2020 project was announced amongst the group, kina most reconnected with the other members and got to know shotaro while practicing

— kina was delighted to be part of from home and work it units

— joined KBS gayo’s special stage for boss along with female idols

2021

— promoted kick back with wayv

— was revealed to be part of keep running’s cast for the 2 new seasons

— flew to china with the wayv members who had schedules

— returned to Korea after filming her said schedules in China

— for the 2021 project, she only promoted beautiful

8. What will always make them smile? What will always make them cry?

— what always makes me smile is seeing the members having fun or anything that makes me happy, whether it be achievements or meeting the fans irl. uhm what makes me cry is talking about my family, I don’t know why but I just tear up talking or thinking about them sjshjs. it also makes me cry watching sad parts of the movie or reading the angst parts of the book esp when it’s about the family.

13. What special abilities or talents do they possess? Did they develop through training or were they born with them?

— I know how to play the flute if that counts? I learned how to play the flute when I was schooling in the Philippines, we have music class and we have to pick something to learn the whole year so I chose the flute bc I know how to play the recorder and thought it would be easy to learn it since I knew the basic chords(?) of it and thought the flute would have the same. p.s. I'm better than mark at playing the flute :D and yes I chose that bc I thought it would be easier to learn it but— Moving on, I’m learning how to play the guitar in the courtesy of the members :^D

— hmm though in close w all the members I would say I’m closest to jungwoo bc we’re the same age hehe (we gotta stay 2gether yk?) me and woo met each other during our trainees days, there wasn’t a lot of trainees born in 1998 in the company so we kept each other company when we knew we’re the same age :D we relate to each other when it comes to school works when we were training and grew closer ! me and jungwoo’s fav bonding moment is eating together <3 but fr we eat a lot together and our managers sometimes just let us yay

2. What were they like as a child? Were they quiet and reserved, outgoing, or a bit of both?

— ah since I grew up in different countries, I was a bit of both >< well that was before meeting the guys HAHAHA when I meet new ppl I usually check their vibe first (if u get what I mean—), and see if we’re compatible (it doesn’t always matter!) but when I warm up to them I become outgoing and everything! but moving a lot as a child and adapting to my surroundings while staying there helped me a lot to become outgoing.

3. Are they an early bird or night owl?

— ah well I'm a bit of a night owl...but there are moments I become an early bird when I want to :D

4. What are 3 of their irrational fears?

— I have arachnophobia (fear of spiders), a bit of acrophobia (fear of heights), and trypanophobia (fear of holes)

— I rly love hugging the members and my friends (also receiving head pats shhh). my top love languages are physical touch and quality time <3
