I just want to take a moment to praise @zoesugg ‘s response to these obsurd articles 🙌 I can’t believe newspapers consider this to be front page worthy news 📰 This only helps to perpetuate the shame that many women feel when its come to their own pleasure. Im sick and tired of seeing this. We are in the 21st century for crying out loud. Our sex education classes clearly need to be looked at (I sure hope there better than when I was at school). One of my very few memory’s of sex education is watching a video about Wet Dreams and being asked to list as many sex acts/positions as we could in 5mins. The vagina is not just simply to pleasure a man or to make a baby. Some women want to be with women. Some men want to be with men. Some men/women don’t want to be with anyone right know or ever. Some people are ready to have sex and some people aren’t. Lets make sure that our sex education classes make everyone feel welcome with no judgement whatever your sexual orientation might be. Men if reading this makes you feel uncomfortable then next time you decide to have a wank think about how you would feel if every time you did that you felt dirty and ashamed afterwards, because thats how society makes women feel. The Christmas period is always incredibly busy for me at work so I treated myself to some clothing pieces in the boxing day sales. Im trying really hard to buy less and more sensibly. But I do love a bargain !!! I was pleasantly surprised when my @zara order arrived with no plastic packaging. The labelling was nice and clear and my new favourite jumper is made from at least 50% recycled polyester 🧶 You can still love fashion and be sustainable. I love a candle it can make a room feel so cozy. I finished quite a few candles over the Christmas period 🕯I’ve since rinsed them out with some boiling water. If the wax is being stubborn try adding some washing up liquid or bicarb to loosen it. I will try and find some good homes for these over the next few days and share them with you. This year I discovered the organisation @adventofchange . I was to late to purchase their advent calendar, so instead I opted for their Christmas Crackers ❄️ Christmas Crackers are a staple Christmas item for many of us. I spent my Sunday wrapping up my Christmas gifts 🎁 Im super proud of my efforts this year and think its my most sustainable Christmas yet. Heres some tips if your looking to buy smarter... 1. I used up the last of the sellotape and switched to paper tape 2. I wrap with brown paper. I have for years I love how it looks once its decorated with string. I also keep any paper/ribbons/bags from presents/takeaway/flowers Im given to reuse later. Not all wrapping paper is recyclable so keep an eye out when your buying this year. Avoid anything with glitter or a shine to it. 3. I’ve done 90% of my shopping this year with small businesses, sadly most of it had to be done online but Im proud of my efforts none the less. 4. I’ve reduced my “plastic gifting” heavily I opted for alternatives where possible. For example all the little people in my family have got wooden toys as gifts. The tree is up and decorated 🎄 I wanted to show you some of my new decorations this year. A few of my old baubles broke last year so the tree was looking a little gappy. I would normally have added a few from my travels but sadly that was not the case this year... I found @nkukulife baubles and fell in love with them. Nkuku work with artisans around the world to create their beautiful products. They work with natural and sustainable materials to create their collections, gathering the waste leftover from other industries like cotton from discarded t-shirts as well as leather, metal and glass. If you have plastic decorations like I still do look after them. Wrap and pack them neatly away for another year. Since 2016 when we (the UK) voted to leave the Eu and Trump was elected I have maintained the view that sometimes things have to get bad before they can better.
