2021 Fic Recs
Alright, this year SUCKED- except for the fic! I don’t wanna dwell on the misery that was this whole year, but I do wanna celebrate some really talented authors who kept me going this year. So here are 21 of my favorite fics from 2021 :D
They’re all from assorted fandoms and authors, and different ratings/ genres. The only hard rule here is that they were all completed in 2021. So no WIPS here!
Here’s the teaser trailer for the videos I’ve made for Midnights 🌌 Thank you Amazon for premiering this, the first video for Anti-Hero will be out tomorrow at 8am ET. And Midnights will be here SO SOON!!!
I haven’t really read Mansfield Park over the past few years, but it was the one that my mom and I read most often when I was young and I highly recommend reading it! Not that they’re necessarily bad, but the book story is a very different thing compared to the movie(s) stories!
That being said, Blair is totally a Mary Crawford type. 😊
Hi! I know you’re very fond of Jane Austen, but do you share this appreciation to Mansfield Park?
I just finished reading it and have many conflicting thoughts in my head, I need to share with someone
you know i actually haven’t read it! and i’d have to rewatch the movie to be able to share my thoughts because it’s just been so long, but i’ll open this up to anyone else who’s read it!
Shadow of a Doubt (1943), dir. Alfred Hitchcock // Stoker (2013), dir. Park Chan-wook // House of the Dragon (2022–), by George R. R. Martin, Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik
Sometimes, a fic doesn't have to get published, it can just be a series of messages on a Discord channel, between a dedicated group of friends going "oooh, you know what else would be cool?" continuously over a period of weeks and months :)
