God does not lie, nor does He makes mistakes

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He would lie, Nor a son of man, that He would change His mind; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

God doesn’t lie. Yet, many in the world—even within the church—say that He lies sometimes.

The fact someone says they have been born in the wrong gender is an affront to God. To say someone has been born in the wrong gender is to say God has lied and made a mistake when He assigned the gender to that person upon their birth. God makes no mistakes, none whatsoever.

We, as sinful creatures, lie often. Many people don’t care if their own truth might make God a liar as long as their sinful nature is satisfied. Our truth isn’t always His truth because the “heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked” as we’re told in Jeremiah 17:9. Our own personal truth is irrelevant if it goes against His Word.

A God that doesn’t lie and doesn’t change (Malachi 3:6) is very good news to us, sinful creatures who are always changing. Unlike this sinful world of ours, that we don’t know what will happen in the future, we can rely on His Word all of our lives for godly living. What used to be a manner of godliness thousands of years ago, is still godly today and will be so forever. An unchanging, and truthful God, can be trusted for all eternity to guide our steps.

We must never allow our hearts, which are capable of lies, to tell us what we must say, think, and do in life. We must be thankful that we have a God who is not a liar and is forever unchanging. In His Word we find His truths and we must confront our lying hearts with His truth. Never settle for a lie, even if it comforts you.

Any comfort a lie may provide you will pale in comparison to the hurt you’ll experience for all eternity once His truth is revealed upon you after you die. Luckily, we don’t need to wait for our deaths to find out what are His truths. His Word, which is the Bible, tells us exactly all the truths we need to know so that we no longer need to be comforted by the lies of our hearts may tell us, but instead we know we can rest upon His truths.
