I just finished House of Flame and Shadow, and this, this is the only time I cried.

Ember really looked like she might cry now, especially as she turned back to Nesta and said, “This time with you was a gift, Nesta. It truly was.”

With that, she pulled Nesta to her in a tight embrace, and Bryce could have sworn something like pain and longing crossed Nesta’s expression. Like she hadn’t experienced a mom-hug for a long, long time.

I need to tell you guys something that happened today

I was at the beach with my family and my dog (he's a tiny black daschshund) and for the first time he took a sh*t out in public, but the thing is, he did that in front of like 4/5 cops

and my fucking mouth was faster than my brain and I blurted out "I guess he doesn't like cops" IN FRONT OF THEM

but then a second thought hit me 5 seconds later... I thought "maybe it's cause he's black" THANK THE LORD I DID NOT SAY THAT OUT LOUD, i would've been arrested on the spot

I saw some people saying that hosab's smut was terrible, compared to acosf's smut. it's not that it's terrible, it's just completely fucking different, and you know why?

it's because acosf's sex was "i hate you, but can't stay away from you, but I also won't admit what I'm feeling because I'm broken inside and trust no one" sex. the infamous enemies to lovers sex.

hosab's sex is "i love you and you know it and I also know that you love me too but we can't be together because of all the shit that's happening" sex. it's lovable sex. the otherwise boring, friends to lovers sex.

it isn't terrible and badly written, it's just different from what we are used to in SJM's books. To me, she went up a whole new level. it's not the kind of writing she's used to. sure, we have rowalin and feysand. but we never really got hot and heavy rowalin smut. and feysand's was THE best kind of smut of all: the make up sex

so I admire her for trying something she's never tried before. and she's KILLING it
