13) Does your OC have any siblings? What was their relationship with their siblings growing up? If they were an only child, did they want siblings?

Ayaki is an only child, but he grew up very close (neighbors actually) with his younger cousin, Metal Lee. The two were inseparable when they were kids, as they were each others’ first friend and were a breath of stability as the two traveled between the Hidden Leaf and the Hidden Cloud. They drifted apart a bit when Metal was allowed to fully attend the Leaf Academy instead of transferring, but Ayaki is still deeply fond of Metal and considers him his little brother.

Though, if asked as a kid, Ayaki did secretly always want a little sister.

2) What was your OC’s first job? Do they still work that job (or in that field), or do they do something else now?

Ayaki’s first job was being a shinobi and he still is. But his very first mission was making deliveries for a bakery! Something easy that he could do on his own and help him learn to navigate quickly through busy areas with precious cargo. It was a successful mission (even with a few bumped pastries along the way.)

10. What’s the first significant injury your OC remembers getting? Did it leave any scars?

Ayaki’s first injury he distinctly remembers is when he was at the Academy, he wasn’t paying attention during shuriken practice and walked out into a still active part of the training field and got his arm cut open by one of his classmate’s shuriken. It was bad, but the Hidden Leaf has some of the best medicine in the world, so the injury didn’t leave a scar.

His parents were happy that he was fine and it wasn’t worse, of course, but also not thrilled that Ayaki wasn’t paying attention in one of his more dangerous classes and was definitely well-trained enough to know better.

#boruto #metal lee #backstory - due to a technicality Metal is also a Cloud citizen under an treaty between the Leaf and the Cloud #and therefore can be called into duty in either village #typically he stays in the Hidden Leaf since that’s where his team is and where most of his ‘friends’ are #but after the events of the Funato Arc #Metal doesn’t handle his grief well and the people around him also don’t handle it very well #so he takes his dad up on the option to go spend some time in his other village #which does him some good but also puts some intense thoughts into his head #so he dyes his jumpsuits black in the bathtub #and takes his training more serious than ever #and he goes back to the chunin exams for the third time #under the expectation that it will be his last chunin exam one way or another
