2. Do you have any merch?

My aunt bought me Aziraphale's winged mug when she heard I was obsessed with Good Omens! I don't drink out of it all the time (cause it's a pain to wash), but it's the best way to drink hot chocolate :)

5. What is you favorite good omens one-shot?

A fun fact about me is I love stories that deal with intense feelings of guilt and the way other characters interact with that (and hopefully make it better). So if you wanna deal with some delicious guilt complexes, Be a Friend to Your Friend by WitherAndDecay is excellent!

A happier (and smuttier) option is Unexpected, But Long-Awaited by KitCat_Italica! It's a beautiful story of Aziraphale and Crowley's first time together, complete with laughter and a tickle fight!

8. Do you prefer season one or season two and why?

Season one will always have a special place in my heart because I first watched it over lockdown and completely obsessed over the ineffable husbands (back when I thought I was straight and wasn't on Tumblr). It was just such a source of comfort for me during a terrible time, and it had the happy ending I so desperately needed

Season two is delightful, but my goodness does it give me anxiety! Embarrassingly, I have really struggled to watch it all the way through and have had to resort to chunks at a time. I'm sure I'll grow to love it just as much, but something about the interpersonal conflict just makes it way more stressful for me than the literal end of the world in season one

22. What's your favourite Crowley hairstyle through the ages?

Oh absolutely the chin length with the little bun! It's a classic for a reason! (Although any time Crowley presents as a woman my brain fries a little bit)

i actually feel like the bamfiest aziraphale moment that isn't getting enough love is the "you came to me. i said i would protect you. and i will." like hoooly shit. it's brave in a quiet way, in a kind way. and the way it's delivered too, it really feels like for a brief moment i got to see all the way through his soul to its shining core. anyone gif that bit?

This feels like it applies to me, so I'll give my two cents:

I loved S1 as a contained story, with a soft landing of a happy ending that still contained open-ended possibilities for the characters. It tied everything up in a nice little bow, that we could still tug around and play with in fanfic to our hearts content. We could make up more backstory during the 6000 years, or we could make up angsty what-ifs or AUs as fandom is wont to do. But the backbone of canon that we hung all these fics on was a nice, sweet, closed ending. I read a lot of fanfics during this time and it was very nice indeed.

Then came S2.

Disclaimer: I still have not watched S2, but I've seen enough screenshots and gifs and metas to know the basic plot of what happens, including how it ended. I personally had a major trauma reaction to it, as it felt like something that was once emotionally safe for me to engage with is no longer safe, reminding me of other irl things that are neither here nor there. But even the clips from S2 I've recently dabbled into feel different tone-wise. It feels less like a 'friendly banter while we save the world' vibe, and more of a 'I'm genuinely mad at you for jeopardizing our safety and I won't give real apologies for what I say or do in response to that' vibe (regarding Aziraphale too, not just Crowley). They toasted 'to the world' (and to each other because you're my whole world) at the end of S1, then spent all of S2 not remotely on the same page. Like they're on two different planets, not at all on the same world.

The cliffhanger feels bad to me yes, and it doesn't end happily yes. But I think the whole tone of the show changed in S2 because the promise of happy gentleness was ripped away throughout the whole season. Idk what Gaiman meant about S2 being 'quiet gentle and romantic' because it doesn't seem at all like that to me.

I haven't read any fanfics after S2. I'm still really hurt by it, and beyond the one AU I was writing after S1, I have no interest in engaging with the wider fandom. It doesn't feel safe or comfortable to me anymore.

Maybe it’s sort of an elephant in the room but. Sometimes when i look at the stats gomens fics used to get when only s1 was out i do wonder where all those fans went. Did they leave disappointed/angrily after s2?
