Arranged marriage AU with Barbarian Bakugou who is so daunting to be around at first. He’s all gruff curses and broad shoulders and scarred cheeks and neck and jaw. He scowls constantly, stares at you while your parents auction you off like some show pig, but doesn’t say much to you besides a grunt of his name. You’re terrified, thinking that he’ll be cruel to you, that you’re being set up for a life full of unhappiness and terror and regret.
But he’s the exact opposite. Bakugou is gentle in ways a man of his size typically wouldn’t be, but he shrinks himself for you. Not in a way that diminishes his status as the newly appointed king, but to respect you, show you that you’re beside him instead of behind him.
He picks you berries on his hunts because he knows the smell of a fresh kill brings nausea to your stomach. You find him along with the other maidens and helpers around his village, sitting beside them, big fingers holding tiny little flowers that he weaves into a crown for you. When he sets it on your head, he purses his lips, mutters something under his breath in his language that you’re still not too familiar with, but sure it means something along the lines of pretty and soft.
And when he finds you bathing in the river only few have access to, he’s sweet the whole time. Doesn’t make a spectacle of you being naked, and is relieved when you don’t instantly cower when he wades his way over to you. You try not to stare at the clawed scars that decorate his pec and jaw when he stands above you, and it helps when he suddenly dumps water all over your head. He shushes you when you splutter, continues on with cupping his hands and letting the water run off of your hair and down your shoulders, scrubbing at your skin until your flesh squeaks. He doesn’t expect you to do the same for him, but he hums in satisfaction when you push him down a little lower so you can wash the crown of his head.

"you have a birth mark on your back, do you know that?"
"no"
Bakugo was sort of proud of that fact. how he seems to know your body better than you do.
he watches you mindlessly scroll through your phone, using a squishy that you won him in a carnival- a grey wolf with a deep scowl, saying something about it looking like him- as an anchor for yourself as you lay flat on your tummy.
he hoist himself up, placing his chin on his palm as he lifts a rough calloused hand to trace over the stretch marks on your hips.
a delicate touch- so gentle. you could swear it felt like he wasn't even there.
all the small dents and crevices, all the birth marks and scars, every little stretch mark that you aren't aware of- he knows them all and he absolutely loves every single one of them and the big question is how could he not? all these "imperfections" are part of things that make you you, they are a part of you and not loving them is accepting to not love a side of you.
like a treasure map he traces the lines as if they'll lead him to the great unknown or even a treasure buried on some island somewhere.
the soft touches makes you giggle a little
"ya' ticklish here huh?"
"uh huh so stop tickling me before I-" you finally turn your back to look at him and he's staring at you in awe, his expression is soft and nothing like his usual scowl that he normally adorns. you guys are left staring at each other for a few slow seconds and you could swear your souls where connected.
he lifts himself up to place a soft kiss on the spot he was previously touching lingering a little before he leaves the spot he kissed missing his warmth but it's quickly replaced when he places his warms hands back on your hip giving it a nice gentle squeeze before he's back to tracing over it.
he's ingrained every part of you that he can into his brain, well atleast the small pieces you let him see and he's proud to say you let him he see quite a bit, even the sensitive parts that you yourself might not even be aware of. he knows how hard it is to show these sides of yourself to another person, to trust someone enough to not only show them your highs but also your lows, to let them know your weaknesses and flaws, he knows how petrifying that is but yet— yet you let him see so much. and he's left wondering how can you trust him this much.
the sudden overwhelm of emotions introduces a little thought in his head.
what if you suddenly decide to leave him.
he's plagued with the idea of waking up to see your side of the bed has run cold, the nick nacks you keep on your bed side table are all gone, the obnoxiously pink plushy you used as a punching bag whenever you got mad from work is no where to be found, it's as if you weren't ever here. perhaps you finally realized that he wasn't worth your time- he wouldn't blame you...
the thought of never being able to experience all these sensations and emotions again; never hear your beautiful voice or smell the cocoa butter lotion you spread on your skin or hear your slightly muffled voice as you sing your heart out in the shower— never be able to see that goofy grin of yours again scares him shitless... almost enough to make him want to cradle himself and hide under a mountain somewhere but he's too hung up on you to push you away now when you've both come so far. so the most he can do is remember, so if you ever decide to finally free yourself from the binds that is him, atleast he'll have just that. memories.
you quickly notice the knot that forms on his eyebrows.
"anything wrong?" worry evident in your voice as you place a finger in between his scrunched up eyebrows. he looks up at you and all the anxiety seemingly washes over him and he is silently scolding himself for ever believing you could ever leave him when you are looking at him like- like THAT.
"na 'verything s'just perfect." nuzzling into your touch.
He's grateful you trust him enough to let him know these things, see these things, experience slow quiet moments like this one. he never thought him off all ppl will be the one to experience something as gooey and mushy as this; a feeling that manages to make his heart turn to warm putty everytime he looks back on it, that manages to keep him grounded but yet make him feel like he's weightless at the same time.
he loves you and though he's never been the best at expressing it, he doesn't have to tell you. your given all the confirmation you need during quiet moments like this from how he's gently caressing your stretch marks to the light in his eyes seemingly glimmering as he stares at you in absolute awe.

Imagining soft Katsuki. It would definitely be unexpected the first while of being together.
Here’s this violent hedgehog, who’s snuggling you and humming in response to whatever you’re talking about as he just. holds you
He’s tracing nothing, just dragging his fingers across your skin repetitively and feeling the vibrations in your chest as you tell a joke that he chuckles at.
You’re running your hands through his crazy hair and kissing his forehead whenever you want.
Just holding each other.

I'm feeling super soft for Bakugou today, someone help me...
Bakugou always gets super sad and weepy when you leave.
Bakugou who loves spending time with you doing random things, like rearranging the furniture in his apartment, reorganizing his closet, cooking together, playing video games, kissing you, just anything with you is bliss.
When you tell him that you have a few days off, he immediately suggests you spend your time off at his place. He figures it doesn’t make sense for you to be by yourself whilst on vacation and it just so happens that he has the same time off too.
He just loves spending time with you. He won't say it out loud, but he just loves when you get super super excited when you learn that the show you thought got cancelled actually is getting a new season and you can't wait to binge it. You get this stupid grin on your face where your nose does this weird wrinkle thing. Ugh, he can't stand it (yes he can). And you kinda do this thing where you curl into yourself and start squealing and shrieking. It's weird as hell, but he doesn't mind it.
Bakugou just loves to bask in your warmth. The subtle touches throughout the day and night where you both can just be. When you're eating a snack in the kitchen, he comes up behind you and kisses your cheek while grazing his hand over your hips. He just loves the smell of your perfume. He can't get enough of your scent when you leave the room after your shower. It's intoxicating.
So when it's your last day at his apartment, Bakugou gets weirdly clingy. You spend more time in bed cuddling when you first wake up, he stares at you just a little bit longer while you eat, caresses your face and gazes into your eyes as if you are going to disappear. He hates that you're leaving the next day, but he knows that you have a big project coming up that you need to work on.
He rocks your world one more time right before you leave. Over and over again he brings you to ecstasy, leaving you breathless and wanting more. You pack your things and have a long goodbye with your boyfriend. You're sad too, but you know you'll be back. You notice Bakugou's eyes are kind of glossy, but you don't say anything. You don't want to bring any attention to it and maybe embarrass him. It's a little note that you'll remember that he'll miss you just as much as you'll miss him. It's special and only for you.
And now... you're gone. Bakugou held it in as much as he could, but he's sniffling so hard it's ridiculous. You haven't even been gone for 5 minutes and he already misses you. Dammit. He starts questioning when the hell did he get so weepy over you. There's no way in hell he's telling the guys about this. They'll just hold this over him and he'll never be able to escape their endless jokes. He's gotta distract himself now. Guess it's time to whoop Kaminari's ass at Mortal Kombat again.

Really embarrassing moments for Y/n and how the boys handled them (minific) - Todoroki
Todoroki:
Tumblr media
You hadn’t expected it to rain, and were running hard to try to get home.
Your water-spirit quirk was great. You could control water if it was nearby. Plus, in water you grew a mermaid tail and could swim and breathe like the fastest of fish.
But getting drenched was the only condition. If you were wet enough, you transformed. And with the rain coming down like it was now, and nowhere to shelter, you were in trouble!
It would be fine if you had remembered your emergency poncho, but for once, it wasn’t in your bag! You had gotten a new one the day before and must have missed it somehow. You had been sure you packed it, but it was nowhere to be found!
Suddenly, you felt your legs go out from under you, and you fell forwards, hard onto the pavement.
You looked down at your legs in dismay, your long, shining tail spread out behind you. It was beautiful and powerful, but useless on land. And right now it was distressing to see it. The lower half of your clothes and your shoes lay soaked on the ground. Your hero costume was made to accommodate the transformation, but you hadn’t dressed for this kind of thing today.
Wondering how you were going to get home like this, and worried that someone might try to hurt you in this stupid, embarrassing, vulnerable state, you cursed in frustration, rolling over to try to sit up.
Soaked as you were, and with the rain still pouring down, there still wasn’t enough water for you to be able to swim home, even if you manipulated it. Not with your current skill level, anyway.
Trying to figure out what to do, irritatingly brushing the rain out of your eyes, you caught sight of someone with an umbrella looking at you.
Your heart jumped and your face burned with humiliation.
It was Todoroki! You two had just started dating. You hadn’t even kissed yet. And now he was seeing you like this! Like this couldn’t get any more embarrassing!
You tried to scoot out of the way and hide behind a lamp post, but he had seen you.
“Y/n?” he asked, approaching quickly.
“Oh, um-” He was already in front of you. You were sitting on the street like an idiot, soaking wet. “Hi...” you mumbled, mortified.
“...You can’t walk with a fishtail.” he noted.
You looked away, wishing you had been able to hide in a bush or something.
Todoroki paused, then seemed to come out of a trance, moving his umbrella over you. “Sorry, here. It’s because of the rain, right?”
You would have been touched if you weren’t so embarassed. “Thank you,” you said quietly, “but I’m already soaked. I won’t be able to change back until I dry off.”
“...I could dry you off with my heat quirk.” he offered.
You paused a moment. You didn’t want to accept, but you wanted to be stuck like this even less. “That would be great, actually. Can I cover my legs-tail though? My clothes kind of...”
Todoroki looked in the direction you did, and his eyes widened, steam rising off his skin as he looked directly at your underwear lying in the street.
“Oh.” He said, eyes wide, covering his eyes as though it helped (it kind of did), then looking straight at your face. “Should I... dry those too?”
“No need!” you insisted, looking away. “The rest would be plenty! Thank you!” You threw (not your underwear) over his left arm once he offered it, and took your jacket off to cover your lap as they dried. The underwear in the puddle, you grabbed and stuffed in a spare compartment in your bag.
You hadn’t been sure what to expect next, but Todoroki took hold of the hem of your soaked top, and steam began rising off of it as it dried.
Once your fish tail disappeared, Todoroki turned around, keeping watch, still holding the umbrella over you. Thank goodness this side street was so quiet. No one could see you from here. There weren’t even any houses. You quickly tugged on the rescued clothes, and got to your feet, relieved.
“Thank you.” you said gratefully. “You can turn around, now.”
Todoroki did as he was told, and smiled to see you on your feet again.
“Please don’t tell anyone about this.” you asked gently.
“I won’t.” he said seriously.
“I’d be so embarrassed.” you said, hiding your face in your hands, “This is the third time this has happened in my whole life. I was a little kid the first two times. I always have a poncho to prevent it, but it’s missing today. I don’t know where I put it...”
“I won’t tell anyone.” he smiled, “And you shouldn’t be embarrassed. Your quirk is yours. You should be proud of it. I’m glad it was me who found you.”
You were relieved that he was so mature about it, and felt your face flush at his words.
Todoroki insisted on walking you home, linking arms to “keep you dry”. Whether that was the reason or not, you weren’t about to stop him. His warm left side was so comforting, and his considerate way was so touching.
You were still embarrassed at having been found the way you were, and at your hair that had frizzed in the rain, but you forgot all about it when he hugged you at your door and kissed your cheek.
It wasn’t until after he left and you had gone to throw your underwear in the wash, you realised the poncho had been there the whole time.
You’d need to get used to this bag.

Really embarrassing moments for Y/n and how the boys handled them (minific) - Bakugou
Tumblr media
Bakugou:
You had an indestructibility quirk. The only things that weren’t completely indestructible were your hair and nails (thank goodness). They were still ridiculously, insanely strong, but it wasn’t impossible to cut them (with enough time, energy and force).
Bakugou was a surprisingly clingy boyfriend. Grumpy as he was, he liked to be near you, and if he had something to do, he wanted you with him. Training, he wanted to do it together. Studying, together. Cooking, together. Shopping, together. The list went on and on. He still had his own life, and his own hobbies and you each enjoyed your hours of private time, but he never understood why roughly every two weeks, you would disappear for the day, locked in your room and refusing all guests.
You wouldn’t even tell him what it was for. Rude as he was, Bakugou still respected your boundaries, even if he’d still question or complain about them. So he was frustrated that you would keep him from seeing you those days with zero explanation.
Then the day you had dreaded came. Your equipment, specialised for your body and your room – broke. You had simply worn it out.
Looking at it in dismay, you came to the realisation that you would have to go to the support department for a new one. Like most people, you only had to cut your hair every few months. Near indestructible hair didn’t really have much in the way of breakage. Or any breakage, actually. You had to book a particular hero with particular abilities to cut it, and thankfully said hero was an old friend of your parents. It still took about 12 hours by itself, and was cut one strand at a time. Heck, it was what your hero costume was made out of and could withstand fire, pressure, radiation, et cetera, just like you.
It was your nails you needed more time for. And the diamond-based, super-strong, super-fast grinder you had in your dorm had just broke. You even had a special exhaust system to remove the airborne filings so they wouldn’t get stuck in everything like hell’s fibreglass. Heck, you wore a specialised onesie that covered your whole head just so the stuff wouldn’t get on your clothes and hair. Only your hands and feet were uncovered. You looked like a bizarre space baby sitting with your toes or hands against a grinder. The suit was soundproof, and you were usually watching movies or listening to music, podcasts, et cetera to pass the time, and had snacks stuffed inside your suit to amuse yourself and make sure you ate during this long, boring time.
This was the embarrassing reality and price of indestructibility that you didn’t want your boyfriend to see. You loved your quirk. You loved being able to protect your friends, to take the hits others couldn’t, to go into places others would die in, and to focus on offence with your defence taken care of. But the grinder was so loud, your room had to be heavily soundproofed to prevent your grooming from disturbing the whole building.
And now you had to leave to get a new one.
After the air had been suitably cleaned and you were able to take off the goofy suit, you left your room and made your way towards the exit, passing through the common room area of the dorm.
Kirishima and Bakugou were in the middle of cooking, your boyfriend bossing around the chatty redhead as they worked. He stopped mid-sentence upon seeing you come in.
“Hey y/n!” Kirishima called, waving a potato peeler at you.
You waved back, smiling. Bakugou was staring at you, confused. You never left your room on these days you demanded privacy. He knew you were able to move the days around if you absolutely had to, but he still had no idea what you did on them. And he was curious.
“Kirishima, when you’re done peeling those, chop them into quarters and put them in the slow cooker!” he said, already pulling off his apron. “Add the other shit we measured, then turn it onto hot, then leave it alone! Set the timer for eight hours!”
“Huh? You trust me with this-?” Kirishima asked, looking pleasantly surprised.
“Of course I do, just don’t fuck it up!” he barked, pulling on his shoes to follow you out the door.
---------
You tried to convince him not to come, but it was like trying to convince a dropped brick not to fall.
“I’m just going to the support department.” you insisted. “You’ll be bored.”
“I’ll decide when I’m bored!” he argued back.
When you walked in to find Hatsume and showed her photos of the grinder without letting Bakugou see, she quickly threw all subtley out the window.
“Oh, your super-strong, super-durable, diamond grade nail grinder wheel Hercules3000 finally broke! That’s great!” she said, loudly enough for the whole room, plus those down the hall, to hear.
Bakugou stared at you, and you felt your face burning.
“Yes, my nail file-” you started.
“Don’t worry! My new baby Hercules5000 will be perfect! And all I needed was somewhere to install him!” Hatsume cried happily, rivalling only Bakugou’s volume, the blond boy silent for once.
“I left the other one in the room so the cleaning system would look after it-” you started, trying to convince yourself that Bakugou wasn’t bug-eyed and staring at you from three feet away.
“Oh, yes, yes!” Hatsume verbally bulldozed over you, “I don’t know anyone else who has toenails filings that can generate the kind of damage only pyroclastic flow can! If I ever decide to make biological weapons that cause purely physical damage, I’ll come to you for raw materials!” She cackled at the thought.
You were mortified.
“...You’ve been ignoring me for entire days to trim your fuckin’ nails?” Bakugou asked in disbelief.
You could only hide your face in your hands.
“Oh, it’s a very complicated system-” Hatsume started, “She has to grind them with specialised equipment, plus extract out the deadly dust to prevent injuring people with-”
“Nooo~!” you cried, embarrassed beyond belief.
“I figured it out, no worries! Hercules5000 has an in-built power-washing system to remove everything in half the time!” the support item specialist assured. “I finally figured out a pipe material that-”
“It all fuckin’ makes sense now.” Bakugou said, eyes narrowing at you. “You don’t get calluses, your skin is perfect, your hair doesn’t need any masks, I never got what the hell your “maintenance days” were supposed to be! You don’t even need sunscreen!”
“Oh, and Hercules5000 can shave hair as well, of course (if you want that) just like his older brother! And I’ve got a new suit-”
“Hatsume, please!” you begged, “Talking to you about it is fine, but I’m embarrassed with-!” You looked helplessly in Bakugou’s direction.
“The hell is embarrassing about that?” Bakugou demanded, irritated now. “Everyone needs grooming! It’s-”
Hatsume whipped out your specialised super-onesie and Bakugou paused, staring.
After a beat of silence he spoke quietly, but firmly. “Make me one too.”
Your jaw dropped, staring at him in disbelief.
Hatsume was more than happy to, and actually had a spare lying around. Adding footies and gloves to cover all of Bakugou was easy.
He had to argue to convince you to let him use it, but the two were even radio-linked to so you and Bakugou could talk during the self-care sessions. It was definitely easier for you to pass the time. Sometimes you hung out, sometimes you had your alone time. But Bakugou loved you for giving him the option. Not that he’d admit it to your face.

Endeavour Suggests A Quirk Marriage due to y/n’s Indestructibility Quirk
You knew Todoroki’s parents had been a quirk marriage. It wasn’t really talked about, but you knew all the same.
You hadn’t really talked to Todoroki that much, but you would see him at the academy a lot being in the same class together. He had seemed cold, but not ill-natured. Blunt, in an oblivious kind of way. He was obviously skilled in combat, but his social skills were just starting to blossom. You had noticed him starting to make friends with Midoriya and Bakugou, Iida, and others in the class. He seemed to be warming up. Making an effort. You had seen him in the sports festival and tournaments, and he had seen you.
As it turned out, his father Endeavour had seen you as well.
Your own parents were downstairs, cuddling on the couch together and watching the TV. You could hear them as you hung up your laundry on the landing. Your mother was a doctor who was immune to disease and internal injury or illness, and your father a hero with indestructible skin and immunity to external injury. Though they would have been perfect candidates for a quirk marriage, your parents had simply fallen in love in the natural way people do.
Your mother had recognised the pro-hero Adamantine the first time she met him, and vaguely knew of his quirk. Your father had fallen for her almost immediately, smitten with her gentle manner, sharp wit and beautiful face. Your mother had enjoyed his jokes and intelligent conversation so much, she couldn’t help visiting him more often than she strictly needed to. Even though she was treating him for slight poisoning sustained in a villain fight, his good humour and kind nature couldn’t be dimmed. After he was discharged, they ended up dating and finding out more about each other as time went on. Quirks eventually came up as naturally as anything else.
You had been questioned about your parents’ marriage before, with people making their own unfounded assumptions, and it was a sore spot for all of you. You had inherited both of their quirks, making you effectively indestructible inside and out. You were immune to heat, cold, disease, poisons, pressure, radiation, and sheer blunt force, among other things. You were in training to become a hero like your father. Your younger brother had your mother’s quirk and was planning to go into medicine to work with highly contagious diseases others would be afraid of. Even that moment he was studying at a cram school nearby.
Though each of them were serious in their own lines of work, your parents were still like schoolkids in their affection for each other. Even as they were watching TV, you could hear your mother giggling as your father kissed her face and arms, singing her praises, showering her with affection and loving the delighted laughs and kisses he got back.
You knew very well what it was like to be on the receiving end of your father’s affection, with big hugs, many compliments and playful chokeholds and noogies that you both knew could never hurt. Your father adored his family, and thanked god, the universe, his in-laws and anyone else who would listen for them every chance he could. Needless to say, your father had set your standards for love very high, and made sure you always knew your worth - priceless.
A knock at the door made your parents pause briefly on the couch, your father turning his head to look at it over his shoulder, then surprising your mom with a quick kiss on the lips before jumping up to get the door, grinning mischievously back at her as she laughed again.
When your father opened the door, the imposing form of Endeavour stood looking at him, stern-faced as ever. Your father was by no means small, he was heavy-built and strong, but the sheer tension that Endeavour brought with him in the air made the entire house turn silent. He was in a black suit and tie, not wearing his hero costume as you usually saw him. He looked ready for a funeral.
Your mother saw her husband’s face change, and switched off the TV, waiting for more information. She couldn’t see who was at the door. You could see him from the upstairs window, and instantly knew you didn’t want to come downstairs.
“Endeavour, what a surprise.” your father said with polite confusion, “Come in, I usually only see you at work.”
The flame hero stepped inside, greeted your mother and waited for your father to close the door before he spoke.
“I have a proposal.” he said, deep voice clear even upstairs.
You were sitting still, out of sight and listening carefully, wondering what this was all about. You decided to shift your position to be able to see as well as hear.
Peeking through the banister, you had a clear view of your parents and the back of Endeavour’s head, but knew that they wouldn’t see you from where you were crouching.
Your father nodded in understanding and gestured to a guest chair, and Endeavour took it. Your father sat beside your mother.
“...You have a very impressive daughter.” their guest said slowly.
Your father smiled, and thanked him quietly. “Your son is amazing, too. Shoto, right? I believe he and y/n are in the same class.”
Endeavour smiled slightly, nodding. “Yes, they are. Her quirk is very interesting. You and your wife certainly made an interesting child.”
A sudden chill ran down your spine.
Your parents stiffened slightly at this. You could see your mother squeezing her husband’s hand.
Your father’s voice was polite, but firm as he stared into Endeavour’s cold eyes. “Quirk or no quirk, y/n would still be amazing. She’s brilliant, beautiful and kind, with a resolve most grown men could only aspire to.”
You heard this kind of thing every day. You knew it wasn’t just for show.
“We are very proud of her, and of her brother.” your mother added. “He’s planning to go into healthcare. He knows he could do anything he wanted, but it happens to be that. Good people like to use their skills and talents to help others. He’s a gentle, considerate person and exceptionally clever. We’re supportive of his career choices, no matter what he decides. And if he ends up deciding to do something else, we’ll support that too. We just want our children to be happy.”
“...I’ll cut to the chase.” Endeavour said, all but ignoring what your mother had said.
He didn’t notice your father squeezing her hand reassuringly, and wouldn’t have cared if he had.
“My son has fire and ice powers. Your daughter has indestructibility from both of you. If their abilities were to combine, it would be a whole new level of power. The flames and ice could both be pushed further, plus the overall advantage in combat ability would be-”
A cold dread was filling your stomach. You felt sick.
Your father stood up sharply, visibly angry now. “What exactly are you suggesting?”
You silently thanked the gods that you had a better father than poor Shoto.
Endeavour rose slowly, menacingly. “I’m suggesting our children do exactly what we did, an arranged marriage based on their abilities-”
Your mother jumped up at that, outraged, fists clenched. “We did not have a quirk marriage! We fell in love, not that the likes of you would understand that! Do you even know whether our kids are friends? Would it ever cross your mind to care?”
Your father put an arm out in front of your mother to keep her from approaching the huge man. If anyone was going to kick Endeavour’s ass it would be him.
“I’m not here to judge you.” the flame hero said quietly, trying and failing not to be irritated, “But marriages with compatible quirks are well-known to produce excellent heroes, which is beneficial to all of humanity. It would be a matter of the greater good. Obviously I can pay whatever amount of money you want-”
Your father’s voice was deathly calm. “I respect you as a hero, but right now, I want you to leave this house. My children will marry whoever they want, and I sincerely hope yours can do the same.”
Endeavour was still, apart from the quivering fists clenched at his sides. Your mother was shaking with apparent fury.
“Marrying my son would be a privilege many would kill for. It’s a lot better than she would likely do choosing a man by herself.”
“Get out!” your mother snarled. A vein in your father’s temple was throbbing with restraint.
“...Think it over.” Endeavour grunted.
He turned and stomped out the door. Your father followed briskly behind, shutting and locking it as soon as the flame hero was outside.
You stood up, processed what had just happened a moment, then ran down the stairs to your father, wrapping your arms around him. Surprising yourself, you burst into tears.
Your father hugged you back, stroking your hair and speaking softly. Your mother’s arms were around you both, her angry tears wetting your hair and shirt.

The next day at school, you wanted answers.
“Oi, you peppermint-headed fuck-!” Bakugou was shouting as usual, following Todoroki who was talking to Midoriya.
“Todoroki-kun, I need to talk to you for a minute.” you said, running over to the boy and passing a still-yelling Bakugou.
Todoroki was visibly surprised, and stopped walking. “Okay.”
“Oi! I was-!” Bakugou started, then jumped back when you snarled at him with ferocity that shut even him up.
You gestured to Todoroki to follow you, which he did without question. You went down a quiet hallway together, hidden under the stairs by some lockers.
Todoroki was looking at you, silent but curious.
“Do you know who came to visit my parents yesterday?” you asked.
He blinked. “How would I know l/n? I wasn’t there.” There was no sign of deceit in his face. Just the usual obliviousness. You had guessed he had nothing to do with it, but it was nice to have confirmation.
“Your father.” you said simply, waiting to see his reaction.
Todoroki’s eyes widened a moment, then he relaxed. “Oh, your father’s a hero too, isn’t he? Was it work related?” he asked innocently.
You almost laughed. “Yes, he is, but that’s not why your father came over.”
“Oh...” Todoroki seemed to be thinking, and looked confused.
“Apparently your father thinks you and I would make excellent babies. He suggested a quirk marriage between us.”
Todoroki’s mouth fell open. If anything, he looked more horrified than you. It actually hurt a little that he was so appalled at the idea of marrying you, but you pushed that aside.
“Relax, my parents told him to get out, because I’m going to marry whoever I want. And I will never accept a quirk marriage.”
Todoroki looked relieved and ashamed. “...I’m sorry he did that. I didn’t know he was going to.”
“I figured as much.” you admitted, “I just wanted to check. Especially since we see each other so often. I wasn’t sure whether he had said anything to you.”
Todoroki was looking down at the ground, teeth gritted and brow furrowed.
“...I hate him.” he admitted quietly, “My mother suffered being married to him. He never saw her as a person, just a means to an end.”
You paused, listening. Todoroki raised his eyes to look at yours. What he said next surprised you.
“If you and I ever get married and have kids l/n, it will be because we’re in love and we want to have children. I wouldn’t accept a quirk marriage either.”
You could feel your face turning red.
Todoroki didn’t seem even slightly embarrassed at what he had just said, which actually made it even more embarrassing for you.
“Oh, well-” you mumbled, “If your father ever comes to my place again with a suggestion of quirk marriage, I’ll stick my foot so far up his ass that I’ll wear him like a goddamn slipper.”
“That would be funny.” He smiled, thought a moment, then scribbled something on a piece of paper and handed it to you. “Here’s my number. I hope my father leaves you alone, but if there’s anything you want to talk about, please tell me.”
You took it, looking up at him in surprise.
He smiled gently, and you suddenly found yourself wondering what you parents might say if you were to end up dating him after all.

A knights promise
[Characters: Izuku Midoriya]
[Overview: He swore to become your loyal knight so he would never have to leave your side again.]
[A/n: I'm not saying Knight izuku has my entire fucking heart but- that's exactly what i'm saying. I love him.]
"Come now honey, sulking in bed wont change a thing." Your father patted your back as you shoved your small head into one of the many silk pillows on your bed. It was a bed that was comically large for a child your size, but that’s the perks of being royalty, you could have just about anything you wished for.
There weren't many things royalty could complain about, there was no doubt you had almost everything a person could ever want! But being a ten year old with no friends, only butlers and maids surrounding you day and night, would make anyone a bit upset. Especially when the servants had jobs to do and no time to play around.
"There's no one else around here that’s my age! It gets really lonely." Came your muffled reply but all your father could do was chuckle at your huffy behaviour.
“What about your brothers?”
The mention of her older brothers made her groan. “They’re boring now too! They never have time for me anymore!”
As her brothers grew older the more duties they had to fulfill, whether it was training to fight or learning the in’s and out’s of being proper royalty they were always busy with something. Which meant they had little free time to spend with their sister. You used to find them annoying, as do most siblings, but now you missed the time you all used to spend together.
“I can’t believe I finally made a friend my age and he lives outside of the kingdom.” You sighed solemnly.
A few years back you and your family would often go into town to talk with the people and help around. The kingdom wasn’t the richest in the lands, nor was it the biggest but life here was happy and your father liked to show you and your brothers how the town worked. Everyone helped each other to live comfortable lives and it was your duty to check up on them and fix any problems in order to maintain peace.
You remembered your father was preoccupied with talking to a bakery owner when you noticed a mop of green hair poking out from the side of a building. Being the curious child you were, you stared at it to see what it was? A person? A fluffy animal? Your imagination ran wild with thoughts until a head poked out to look at you. As soon as the boy saw you staring back he turned red and jumped back into his hiding place.
You smiled at the memory. You were only 6 years old at the time and yet you two were able to form a friendship like no other. You remembered walking over to him and calling him out for spying but it turns out he was just curious about you, having never seen someone dressed so fancy in town before. You two spent the whole day talking and playing pretend around the kingdom. It was much more fun than standing around as your father talked to the townspeople.
The two of you were inseparable from that day forward.
But the sad news was that he lived outside of the kingdom with his mom and only came to town to buy food or sell produce once a week. So you two were only able to see each other when he was visiting and for years it stayed that way. You would wait on the outskirts of the kingdom every Tuesday at precisely midday for them to show up and the two of you would spend the day talking and playing around as his mom took care of chores.
As you grew closer your parents allowed you to stay over at each other's homes every so often too! You would never forget the way his jaw dropped once he set foot inside the castle. The look of awe on his face as you showed him around was nothing short of hilarious! He made such a big deal over every little thing that you were so used to. Like being served the best food in the lands! Or having so much indoor space to run around! Or the amount of servants that were willing to serve him simply because he was your friend!
The first time you went over to his small little cottage you were awestruck too! It was so tiny! You couldn't comprehend how they lived together in such a small space! Your bedroom was bigger than their house!
They even did all the work on their small plot of land themselves! They grew vegetables and took care of animals, cooked their own foods and cleaned their house without any help from servants! It was like a completely different world to yours but you were thankful for the experience! His home life was so cozy,  even if they did not share the same riches as you. You liked to think the whole experience had made you more down to earth.
You realised how thankful you should be for all you had and you swore to yourself that anytime you came over you would help them with their work as much as you could!
You even forced the two royal guards that accompanied you at all times to help them as well.
You two were polar opposites in terms of lifestyle but it made things more interesting. You had taught each other so much in just a few short years! Never did you think you would work on a farm!! It was dirty and sometimes a bit gross but it only made you appreciate all the commoners in your kingdom. They all worked very hard to make a living.
It was safe to say that your friendship had grown pretty strong in those 4 years, even if you couldn’t spend every day together. He had to help his mom with work around their farm and you weren’t allowed outside of the kingdom since there were a lot of dangerous people who would jump at the chance to snag a princess and sell her back for heaps of jewels.
But that didn’t stop you from having guards deliver letters and gifts to him and his mom. You cared for them as if they were your own family now, they had been nothing but kind to you and you wouldn't trade your friendship with him for the world.
He just had a way of making you so happy! His smile alone was enough to cheer you up and you were sure that this was a once in a lifetime sort of friendship.
“Yes, I know. I hear this complaint everytime you miss him- and you miss him a lot.” You could hear the amusement in your father's voice. His tone made you wonder if he knew something that you didn’t? Why wasn't he taking you seriously? Why was he brushing you off and laughing at your misery?
You pulled your head from your pillow and sent him a glare to tell him you weren’t amused. You were in no means a bratty child but you could get pretty grumpy when you hadn’t seen Izuku for awhile.
“Oh don’t give me that look, you’re lucky he misses you too.” Your father gave you one last path to your back before standing up from his seat on the edge of your bed.
“What does that mean?”
Your father opened the large double doors to your room and as soon as you saw that messy green hair that you adored so much, peek through you dashed forward without  second thought. You almost knocked your father over in the process.
You wrapped your arms around him tightly with a smile that could rival the brightness of the sun. “IZU!”
“Y-Y/n-!” You were aware that you were crushing him with your hug but you couldn’t help yourself. You had missed him so much! You let him go and grabbed his hands in yours. “What are you doing here!?”
“I came to see you of course! My mom said I’m allowed to stay here for a few days since I’ve been working extra hard on the farm!!” His smile rivaled your own.
He had been running around all week, trying to be the best golden child he could be and do all the jobs his mom wanted done just so he could spend some time with you.  He was tired and it had been a lot of hard work but seeing your radiant smile made it all worth it to him.
You turned to your dad knowing he must have had something to do with this too. Perhaps he had sent his mom a letter to ask permission for him to stay with them for awhile?
Your father reached down to pat the top of your small head. “Don’t say I never do anything for you. Try not to cause too much trouble you two, and be in bed by 9pm, I’ll make sure to have the guards check on you so no rule breaking!” He warned with a gentle smile and you both nodded enthusiastically. No amount of rules could bring down your spirits! You were going to make every second together a special one.
As soon as the doors shut you began jumping up and down unable to contain the excitement you felt. “I’m so happy!! I can’t wait!! We’re going to have so much fun! We can play games and tell stories and oh! I can even show you some of the magic I've been learning in my magic lessons!!”
Seeing him take the bag he had on his back off and put in on the ground made you feel giddy. It was probably filled with clothes and other necessities. It just made this whole thing feel more real! He wasn’t going to be leaving anytime soon and you could spend the next few days making memories and having as much fun as you possibly could!
And so you did just that.
The next few days were spent, baking with the chefs in the kitchen (and ultimately resulting in a food fight and then being scolded for the mess), showing him the new spells you had learned, reading stories together, playing games, having the guards teach you both to spar and pulling pranks on your brothers. Though Izuku was a lot less enthusiastic about the last one, he felt awful for pranking royalty! Even if it wasn’t his idea. Luckily your brothers took it well, though they swore revenge on you two and that scared him more than anything.
You felt like you hadn’t smiled or laughed this much in so long, it was perfect. You wished it could always be this way. That he never had to leave again. The castle just wasn’t the same without him around.
It was the night before he had to leave you again. The moon shone brightly, it was high up in the sky reminding you of how you were both breaking curfew. But neither of you wanted to sleep. The sooner you slept the sooner he would have to leave. You didn't want to sleep and waste those precious seconds with each other.
You were both sitting on your large window, staring out at the beautiful clear night sky as you tried to name all the constellations. Though, knowing this was the last night you two would be together before he disappeared for another week or two, had made you too upset to concentrate on what he was actually saying.
You pulled your legs to your chest with a sigh and that got him to stop talking and turn away from the stars to focus his attention on you. “What's wrong?” his small voice asked, his big green eyes filled with worry. You glanced up at him with a frown, “You know what’s wrong… You’re going back home tomorrow and I won’t be able to see you for weeks! I always have so much fun when you’re around… I feel as if I'm at my happiest with you! But-” you curled up tighter and turned your head away, “But you always have to leave and then I’m left alone again!"
Izuku listened to every word with his mouth partly agape. He understood how you felt. He was always happiest when he was with you too. He missed you every second you were apart, he had never had a friend before you and you were his most precious person. Even if he was too shy to say so out loud. It always felt so surreal that he was best friends with the Princess herself but he wouldn’t trade any of this for the world.
He crawled forward until your legs brushed together. He leaned over to place his small hand on top of yours. It was such a gentle and innocent action that was only intended to soothe a solem friend.
“But no matter how long I’m away for I will always come back to you, and every second we are away I promise to think of you. Maybe if I think hard enough you’ll be able to feel how much I miss you and you won't feel as alone!”
You blinked at his words. “How will I hear if you think about it? If you want it to reach me you will have to yell to the gods and then they will give me the message and every night I’ll yell back so you know I miss you too! But make sure to yell, really, super duper loud. Ok?”
“Ok! I promise I’ll yell as loud as I can!” He nodded so determinedly that you had no doubt that he would keep to his promise. Satisfied with his reply the pair of you fell into a silence as you sat and watched the stars twinkling from the confines of your dark room. It was peaceful, and the way the moon illuminated the two of you and your surroundings seemed magical.
There was nothing in the world that you would trade this moment for.
“You know… the past few weeks we were apart, i’ve been thinking a lot.” You heard Izuku start. You took notice of the way he nervously fiddled with his hands as well as how he seemed to smile like he was content with whatever he was thinking. “I can’t see you more because I have to work and help my mom, and you can’t leave the kingdom because it’s too dangerous..” He continued before suddenly looking up at you and it was only then that you realised how red his cheeks were.
“I want to become your knight!!” He exclaimed.
“Huh!?” You felt your cheeks heat up at the sudden declaration.
“Well.. If I work hard to become your  knight then not only can we be together everyday but I’ll be able to protect you from all the dangers out there too! And that’s all I want in my life! ” He sent you a closed eye grin.
“When I grow up I promise to become the best knight in the land for you. I will protect you with my life and stay by your side forever! Then we never have to be apart again!”
----
Ah what a silly little promise that was made between ten year olds. It had been 13 years since that night and-
You honestly had not expected him to stay true to his words!
“Princess.” Your ever faithful knight bowed down on one knee to you and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes at his formal behaviour. Especially when no one else was around to see it. There was no need to put on a front when you were alone. “You’re guests are awaiting your arrival.”
“What have I told you about formalities? You may be my personal knight but you’re also much more than that.” You crossed your arms and Izuku looked up at you with a playful glint in his eyes. “I don’t say it for formalities, I say It out of love. A pet name if you will? You are my princess after all.” He stood up, enjoying the way your face turned red.
“You’ve gotten a bit bold lately, aren’t you still worried about someone finding out? A princess and her appointed knight dating is a bit taboo after all.” You watched as he stepped forward to take your hand into his. He always held you as if you were the most delicate thing on the planet and it never failed to make your heart swell. Even with just a simple touch he was able to show how much he loved you, how he would never dare let any harm come to you.
"We've been keeping this secret for two years now- almost three. I'm starting to find myself not caring who finds out anymore. I want them all to know how much I love you." His hand came up to gently brush through some of your stray hair. The action made you close your eyes. It was blissful to be able to share these moments with him.
"I wish for that too, but if word were to spread around we could both be in danger. There are dangerous people out there that would use this love against us." It was saddening to know that you two could never be open with your relationship. It seemed that you always had obstacles in your way, and yet your love for each still bloomed and stood strong. You knew this was that true love all of those stories you'd read as a child would talk about. There was no doubt in your mind. Your relationship may have only been going on for three years but your love for each other had been around for much much longer.
"Yes.. I know." It was selfish of him to think of showing his love for you to the world given the dangers but he could at least dream about it, right? "At least I'm able to spend all my time with you and no one dares question it since I am your loyal knight. Even if you hadn't returned my feelings I would have been content just to stay by your side." He leaned down to press a kiss to the back of your hand before holding out his arm for you to take.
"Now shall we? Your guests are still waiting for you."
You let out a groan and hesitantly took his arm. "Fine, let's get this over with." You muttered bitterly, knowing what was waiting for you in the grand hall. "But you know my orders right?"
You saw Izuku nod from the corner of your eye. "I will stay by your side the entire night. You don't even have to give the signal, as soon as any bachelors try to steal you away I will be there to save you. Even if I can't be open with my love for you, I wouldn't dare let anyone steal you from me." He declared as you walked the empty halls. He still kept his voice low even if there was no one else around. All the servants had gathered in the grand hall to serve the royals at the party but there was no harm in being cautious.
"As if they could." You scoffed and tightened your hold on his arm. "No prince from any land could match up to you. You don't just own a piece of my heart, you have all of it. That cannot be changed."
A smile crept onto your lips as you watched his cheeks turn red. He may be one of the top knights in the kingdom- hell, he was known as one of the strongest in the lands! But he was still so easily embarrassed, so easy to tease, he still held a lot of the same traits he did when he was younger, staying true to the shy, sweet boy he was. Although now, he wasn't as weak and you could tell just from holding onto his muscular arm.
He wasn't as innocent either, but that was more your doing. You tried to hide your smirk as you recalled all the times he had to bite down on your pillows to muffle his needy moans from any nearby servants. He had even torn a few of them from how harshly he had to bite them. It may be awful to hide your love but it was very fun to see him try to contain himself. The risk of being caught added a certain spice to it all as well. It was a wonder how you had never been caught after three years of this same routine.
The party was exactly as you expected it to be. Extravagant and filed with royalty. You could already feel the gazes upon you as soon as you entered the room. Kings and princes alike staring you down and hoping to get the chance to talk to you and arrange a marriage so your kingdoms could be united. It made you sick, not that all of them were bad people, but you were already in love and the thought of having to marry another man was what made your stomach churn.
Izuku must have felt you tense up because his hand came up to place itself on top of yours. "Don't worry, I'm here. Just smile and brush them off, they won't dare bother the princess and risk ruining their chances at an arranged marriage." He said with a smile, though the smile was only for show. You could see in his eyes this bothered him just as much as it did you.
You had been doing this song and dance for years, you should be used to it by now but every time proved just as torturous as the last.
"You certainly take your time." You turned to the source of the voice to see your brother standing there. His wife of five years on his arm, they looked happy and you couldn't help but envy the fact he was allowed to be open with his love. Lucky him, falling in love with a princess. He never had to worry about what people would think or worry about losing her. Their love was considered a blessing from the start.
"Brother." You bowed before him and he laughed. "Took you this long to show your big brother some respect huh?"
"Well, you are the king now. It would be rude not to show the king some respect." You replied with a smile. You father had passed away a few years back which meant your eldest brother now took the role of king. He did suit the part well, he was just like your father in many ways and you knew he would make a great ruler.
Your brother chuckled again. "See? She only acts like this in front of other people. Perhaps we should throw parties more often so I can get a bit of respect from her every now and then." He told his wife who laughed with him.
'Oh god please don't throw anymore parties.' You silently pleaded as your brother let go of his wife and stepped forward. "Actually, I have some great news! I've found a prince for you! I know you’ve been picky about it and you’re not all too thrilled about the idea but he has a lot of the same interests as you, I made sure he was down to earth and not a stuck up snob, and he's quite handsome too- not more than me of course but i'm sure he'll fit your low standards just fine." You would have elbowed him for that jab at you had the dread in your stomach not settled in already.
Your brother was not aware of your love for Izuku, otherwise you were sure he wouldn't have bothered with all this. But you refrain from telling him out of fear you two might be separated. The relationship between you two was to stay mostly professional, everyone knew you two were best friends but to be more than that could cause problems. In fact, even being best friends had made a few people worry that he was not fit to be your knight. Feelings could get in the way and distract him from his main duty. The relationship was supposed to be strictly professional so he could focus on protecting you.
Somehow izuku had managed to convince your family he would let no such thing happen, and he stayed true to his word. He never let himself slack off from his job even if you tempted him to. He was always prepared to protect you with his life and he trained hard everyday to make sure he was fit enough to be your protector.
“Ah- brother- about that.. I'm not sure…" but before you could protest further a tall, handsome man with kind eyes was shoved in front of you and you were being introduced to each other. “Why don't we leave them alone for a bit. Come with us, Midoriya.” and thus you were left to helplessly watch as Izuku, your emotional support, was taken away from you. How could you get through this party if he wasn’t there to keep you from losing your mind?!
You ended up being stuck talking with this prince for hours, listening to him talk about his family, his kingdom ect. He seemed nice enough, you had no problem with him. Under normal circumstances you were sure you two would get along just fine!
At least he wasn’t being rude to you like a few other snobby princes had in the past. But no matter how nice he was you could never love him.
Not in the same way you loved your precious Izuku. This was never going to work out for you. You refused to subject yourself to mindlessly talking with a guy you had no interest in. You weren’t even really listening to him, your eyes were glued to Izuku the whole time. He was standing by one of the walls along with a few of the other knights. His eyes never left you either, the rest of the room faded away as you longingly stared at each other, but with your brother's eyes on you, you both felt obligated to stay away.
The more you stared at him the more your heart tugged you towards him. You were unable to take any more of this, you craved to be encased in his arms. To have him pet your hair as he whispered loving words into your ears as he always did when you were upset or stressed. Why did the world always have to keep you apart when all you wanted was to be by each others sides?
You shook your head in frustration. The staring from all the other royals, forcing yourself to smile and act interested, having to be torn away from the one you really wanted to spend your time with. It was everything you hated all at once and you suddenly felt your patience snap in two.
With a sigh you stopped the prince from speaking any further by raising your hand. “I apologise but I need to go now.”
Was all you left him with before walking off, not caring how rude you might have seemed. All you cared about was rushing over to your knight.
You weaved through the endless crowd of people to get to him. He perked up immediately seeing you walk over, pushing himself from the wall and meeting you halfway. “Let’s go Izuku.”
He followed you out of the grand hall and through the long hallways, his step in time with yours as to stay close to your side. The walk was silent, he got worried when he saw that look in your eyes. You looked exhausted, frustrated, upset and he suddenly felt he should have done more to help you back there.
Though the knight held no authority against a prince and to intervene would be highly inappropriate. Not to mention it would raise suspicions, Especially when the king himself had told Izuku to give you some space so you could converse with your "potential future husband", he couldn’t go against the king! He felt so helpless! The whole time he was staring at you he was trying to think up a way to get you out of there and back by his side.
He would be lying if he said he hadn’t been a little bit jealous of the prince taking up your time but it hurt him even more to see that look of sadness in your eyes as you forced yourself to endure it all.
As soon as the doors to your bedroom closed you turned to him and the spark of determination in your eyes made him freeze up. Your expression had completely changed and it had startled him. You looked so upset a second ago that he had half expected you to cry or rush into his arms for a hug. What was running through your mind?
“Lets run away together.”
“WHAT!?”
“Shh!” you panicked at his outburst, hopefully no one was around to hear it. “I said let's run away together. I can’t deal with this life anymore.”
He didn’t know what to say. Run away? It was so sudden. You had always seemed pretty content with your life here. Especially when he started living in the castle. His room was right by yours and you were able to spend everyday together like you had always dreamed of as children. Not only that but you had a wonderful family and everything you could ever want, and now you suddenly wanted to run away?
“Princess… I don’t think you’ve thought this through- You’re tired from the party and you must feel upset from having to deal with all of that but- running away? That’s a really big deal.” He tried to reason, running away with you sounded like a dream but he couldn’t just agree when it would mean you would be leaving your family and whole kingdom behind. You would be giving up so much to run away with him and it would be selfish of him to jump at the chance.
“Is it? Think about it! I'm never going to become queen or anything- especially since I refuse to marry any of those princes. It’s not like I have duties to fulfill, I’m practically just around for show at this point.” You argued as you brushed past him.
“I know but..” he weakly tried to argue but his feelings were stopping him from doing so. As your knight he had to pull some sense into you, but… as your lover he would want nothing more to be free with you. To love you openly and not have to worry about arranged marriages or sneaking around 24/7.
You grabbed a hold of his hand and smiled up at him with nothing but love in your eyes. “It may seem like some rash decision but this has crossed my mind many times before.” You spoke softly.
Your room was dark with only the moon to illuminate it just like it had the same night he made that promise to you when you were ten years old. The day he swore to become your knight and protect you forever.
“You remember what you said to me all those years ago. Right over there.” You said as your eyes turned to the window, he followed your gaze. Of course he remembers how he could ever forget? “You said all you ever wanted in life was to protect me and stay by my side forever and that’s all I want to. To be by your side. Forever.” You gazed into his eyes and he couldn’t help but admire the way the moon light bounced off your face, it was a breathtaking sight. You looked like a goddess, your skin was shining, your eyes sparkling.
He couldn’t believe that you were really his. That your heart belonged to him.
“Imagine how freeing it could be! We could go on adventures! See the world! Maybe someday settle down somewhere and start a family, but most of all we would no longer have to worry about princes or hiding our love. That’s all I want! Not riches or parties or fancy clothes, none of that matters to me when you’re around. You’re all I need.” You finished.
He must have been trying to hold it back but you still noticed the way his eyes gleamed with tears. You reached up a hand to cup his cheek and his larger hand came up to cover your own. “Then lets run away together.” He finally spoke.
His smile grew with yours as he leaned down to press a kiss to your lips. It was sweet, soft, innocent, a kiss made to seal a promise.
“I will stay by your side, forever and always, My princess.”

Envy
Not a sin: Wanting things you see other people have, like money, power, fame. IT’S A SIN WHEN: This is how you define people, and stop respecting them as humans. It’s a sin when you use them for what they have and what they can bring you.
Greed
Not a sin: Wanting financial security, working hard for the things you want.  IT’S A SIN WHEN: Your own financial growth depends on keeping other people impoverished and suffering.
Pride
Not a sin: Being proud of your accomplishments, liking your looks, dressing up IT’S A SIN WHEN: It stops you from accepting your faults and seeing how you can be wrong, not admitting that you can better yourself.
Wrath
Not a sin: Righteous anger at situations, being mistreated, seeing other people suffer, at the injustice of the world. Self-defense. Revolution.  IT’S A SIN WHEN: Violence towards defenceless people, hitting your partner or your kids,.  Violence fuelled by intolerance and bigotry.
Sloth

We Need to Talk About Engagement
No, I don’t mean that step you take in the pursuit of marrying someone.
I mean interaction. Messages and reblogs.
A couple months ago, there were posts circulating about how the like to ratio reblog was unfair because likes do not give writers the opportunity to be seen where reblogs do. Once enough people reblogged this or added to it, engagement went way up and the ratios were better and people were sending messages and replying to fics about how much they loved them!
Then, it seems, everyone went “I did my part” and gave up on it.
Engagement seems to be at an all-time-low; the like to reblog ratio seems to be gapped even wider now, people are hardly sending messages in, and heck people are even reading fics without even LIKING them.
I thought it was me at first and that everyone grew bored of my writing, but then my friends said they weren’t gaining much attention either or they were no longer receiving many asks. And then posts about it started popping up about how engagement was down 50%.
Why? What is so bad about reblogging a fic or replying to it? We write for ourselves, but the sweet comments and messages make it worth putting out there for people. Seeing people simply like it or pay no mind to it is very discouraging.
Here are some things you can do to help engagement go up that are barely any effort on your part and are very appreciated:
Reblog a fic if you like it. You don’t even have to say anything if you are allowing other people the chance to see it.
Send asks. Comment on your reblogs if there’s something for you to say. Reply to the post. Put things in the tags bc we go and read them!
Popular writers; if you see a fic and you enjoy it, you should reblog it. If you have a nice following, they should be seen just as much as your fics should be, especially if written by a smaller writer.
Even if all you want to do is DM someone to tell them how great their fic is, that’s wonderful!
I understand there’s some inferiority/superiority thing on here where bc someone’s writing is popular they seem intimidating, but we LOVE COMMENTS. WE LOVE ASKS. IF SOMEONE DOES NOT LIKE THESE THINGS THEN THEY ARE A JERK WHO YOU SHOULD NOT SUPPORT THE WRITING OF.
Please just tell us what you’re thinking even if it’s “sdfoisjdfaslk” bc we really appreciate it and it makes us WANT to keep writing and showing our work.
The lack of interaction from people and the amount of silent readers who do no more than like is so discouraging to us and I think that’s kind of obvious across the platform, so PLEASE, do not be afraid to tell us what you think of the fic and to reblog it.

Reader with a Magical Girl Quirk
Tumblr media
Bakugou
As expected of Bakugou and his need to feel better than those around him, he laughed in your face when you first admitted that you needed to do a magical girl transformation to use your quirk.
He told you it was the lamest thing he’d ever heard, cackling on even as the other girls told him to shut up.
“What do you do? Blow fuckin’ kisses at villains?” he mocked, still sneering and cackling. “Threaten to spank them? Do you throw a little tiara or smack them with a purse?”
You were already a bit embarrassed about having to do something so flamboyant even before he started talking, but it was your quirk, and dammit, you were going to use it!
Is what you told yourself.
In reality, you didn’t want Bakugou to see you transform, because you were self-conscious enough in front of him as it was.
Yeah, he was bad-tempered, stubborn, obnoxious, loud-mouthed, rude as hell and conceited as could be. But he was smart, strong, hard-working, powerful, reliable, passionate, great in the kitchen and annoyingly good-looking. There were so many nice boys in class, why on earth did you like him?
So you tried to go as long as you could without transforming in front of him. You could fight without being transformed as well, having studied hand-to-hand combat and being given a weapon support item upon entering the school. But you knew you couldn’t hold back forever. It wasn’t even like your transformation used a lot of energy. You just had to keep your focus to maintain it.
Of course, it couldn’t last.
You and your class were surrounded. Todoroki had made a barrier of ice around you all, but it would only last for so long.
You looked at the mass of enemies chipping away at it and made your decision. You shoved your support weapon into your belt.
“Y/n, what are you doing?” Uraraka asked, surprised to see you putting away a weapon when you guys really needed to fight.
“I’m about to have something much better.” You explained calmly, gathering your focus. Your classmates were looking at you. They hadn’t seen you transform before. You stood up straight and raised your hand above your head. You inhaled deeply and said in a loud, determined voice, “Transform me!”
Suddenly, you were enveloped in golden light.
Your outftit changed, your body changed, even your hair got bigger and stronger. No one could get near you, the mix of blinding light and fire making you as bright as the sun. It actually seemed to push them back like some sort of barrier. There was something in your hand, but they couldn’t tell what it was.
The light faded, and your classmates gaped at the result of your transformation.
Bakugou had seen pictures of magical girls in adverts for things like Sailor Planet, Sparkle Squad and even the Incredible Ladybird on TV. When you said magical girl, he had been expecting frills, hearts on your outfit, cute poses, crap like that. But you were a far cry from what he had been expecting.
You were tall. Very tall. Easily seven feet, towering over even Shouji. Your form was feminine, but muscular and draped in silk and armour. You wore a golden crown that came down to guard the sides of your face, and guards on your shins and forearms. The word “amazon” came to mind. You oozed power and looked like a royal. You held a thick, golden staff.
You looked like you’d chew up Sailor Planet and spit her out in a heartbeat.
“What the hell kind of magical girl transformation as that?!” Mineta demanded, “You didn’t even get naked! Where’s the skimpy outfit?! You have shorts on under your skirt! I’m at the perfect angle to see up it and you do that to me?!”
You picked the boy up by the collar with one hand and no effort and looked him in the face. He got very quiet. You didn’t need to speak. You dropped him on his ass into the dirt and made your way to a widening crack in the ice barrier.
“Everyone, get behind me. Todoroki-kun, I’m going for whatever comes through here.” You spoke softly, but firmly.
The boy nodded and your classmates didn’t argue. They didn’t know what you were going to do.
You raised your staff above your head, and the moment the crack in the ice widened enough to fit it through, you brought it down on the earth. It split and tremored at your feet, throwing every villain in front of you flying. Your classmates behind you were untouched.
Todoroki dropped the ice wall, and your classmates rushed forward, taking advantage of the stunned enemies’ states.
All except for Bakugou, who gaped up at you, feeling strangely small in his threatening outfit. He had never met a queen, but imagined that this must be how it felt.
You cast your eyes down at him, and a smirk graced your lips.
“Are you going to fight, or are you waiting for me to blow you a kiss?”
Bakugou took off at once, yelling a flustered “Shuddup!” back at you. He didn’t want you to see how red he was.

Kirishima
Kirishima, nice as always, was supportive when you admitted that your quirk required a magical girl transformation.
You were a bit embarrassed about it, but it was your quirk and you knew it was a good one, and well-suited for the job you wanted to do.
You had a huge crush on Kirishima, who was always going on about toughness and manliness.
You knew in your heart that he would be kind no matter what, but you were still shy about letting him see you transformed. So you tried to hold off on transforming.
You didn’t need to use your quirk all the time. A lot of the time your hand-to-hand abilities and support item were enough.
But once it came to serious fights, you had to resort to transforming.
You were tired. You had been running as fast as you could for as long as you could. You couldn’t keep up with Ibara, she was just too fast for you.
You could see and hear Kirishima in the crowd, roaring encouragement amongst your other classmates.
A thorny vine wrapped itself around your leg, and exhausted, you stumbled and fell. Another grabbed you around the waist, pulling you upright and dragging you back.
Somewhere in the crowd, Monoma was mocking you, gloating about “1B’s superiority”.
You couldn’t waste any more time. The vines were creeping up your chest and arms, soon even your face would be covered.
You raised your face towards the sky, and inhaled deeply, bracing yourself and gathering your focus.
“Transform me!” you cried.
Blinding pink light enveloped you.
Startled and pushed back, Ibara dropped you, releasing the thorny binds and shielding her eyes.
Your hair got longer and tied up in frilly bows. Your clothes changed in a flash of pink light, and you dropped to the ground, landing on your feet in pink ballet pumps. You wore a frilly skirt with copious petticoats and a frilly little top. Fairy wings had sprouted from your back, and you seemed to shed glitter. You held a sparkly baton about as long as a ruler, a heart on the end.
There was a beat of silence.
Mad cackling and jeering sounded from the crowd. It sounded like Bakugou and Monoma.
Your eyes caught Kirishima’s in the crowd. He was staring, open-mouthed and dumbfounded.
You felt your face turn pink as well.
Ibara had collected herself. Her repulsed vines had wrapped together into a ball, the girl adding to them to make a ball the size of an elephant. Said ball had been lifted, and you saw it just as it paused midair before being swung down towards you.
Instinctively, you turned on the spot, twirling your tiny baton, which transformed mid-spin into a hammer with a heart-shaped head the size of a bull. You slammed the ball of thorns with it just as you finished your spin. The ridiculous force knocked the massive projectile far out of the arena, the vines that had attached it to Ibara’s head broke about a metre from her scalp and the unprepared girl was sent flying fifteen feet backwards.
Bakugou and Monoma had stopped laughing.
Your pink, heart-decorated hammer was not to be fucked with.
Ibara was fine, but startled, and had been knocked out of bounds.
Your classmates were amazed and swarmed you after your victory, demanding to know why you had chosen to wait to transform.
-“You’re crazy strong, girl!” Mina exclaimed.
“And your outfit is so adorable when you transform!” Hagakure squealed.
“Why wait to use your quirk?” Uraraka asked, shocked.
You saw Kirishima approaching, but you couldn’t leave Uraraka hanging.
“Well, I’m not that great at mitigating the power yet, so it’s kind of all-or-nothing right now. Which isn’t always practical.” you admitted sheepishly.
“Y/n!” Kirishima called, grinning widely at you. You felt your heart skip a beat. “That was a super manly performance!”
“What part of it was manly?” Hagakure demanded. “She’s super cute!”
“No, that’s not-I mean she is cute but-” Kirishima was getting red. “What I mean is- Y/n, your quirk is really cool and so are you! You looked great-did great! Great good job very much-”
Bakugou passed by and barked for Kirishima to follow him, rescuing the boy from his own babbling.
