11:17PM — sakusa kiyoomi 

sakusa kiyoomi is not a man of many words. he is quiet for the most part, staying silent unless he needs to speak. the only time he says ‘i love you’ is in the quiet comforts of your home, or when he can’t help but confess his complete and utter adoration to you. 

he comes home late again and he sees you on the couch of your apartment, eyes glued to the screen of the tv, a cup of tea brought up to your lips. 

“hi…” he mumbles as he drops his bag to the side, sitting down beside you. 

he doesn’t miss your smile when he leans on your shoulder, and he takes a breath to breathe you in.

“tired?” you laugh quietly when he responds with a tired groan.

“miss you…” he exhales, and he relishes in the way you run a hand through his hair. 

you smile, “i missed you too, yoomi.”

“i love you,” he brings his head up, brushing his nose against yours. “i’m sorry i missed our anniversary.”

“i don’t blame you,” you say, allowing your lips to meet his for a second. “i know you’re busy.”

“you deserve better,” he whispers, his hands cupping your face.

“i only want you.”

You crash your lips against his, wrapping your arms around his neck to pull him closer. he wraps an arm around your waist and rests a hand next to your head against the couch. he savours the sweet tea on your lips and he can’t help the words

“i love you,” he says again, “so—” kiss, “so—” kiss, “much.”

“and i love you,” you hum, “so—” kiss, “so—” kiss, “much.”

he smiles softly as he lets his forehead rest against yours. he’s given himself to you completely. if only you knew how much you mean to him — but for now, he cherishes the way you hold him and he prays you can feel his love through his warmth. he prays to whatever higher power there is that this can stay.

A new documentary has launched on Netflix today, focusing on the harm humans do to marine species. It offers a close look at the global fishing industry and the environmental, animal and human rights issues that go along with it. I would definitely recommend checking it out, particularly for anyone convinced of the sustainability of eating sea animals. Do be aware though, it features scenes of blood, gore and graphic footage of animal cruelty.
