Animal Crossing Fashion Studies
Finished sketches from this week’s Sketchbook Session video!
I made some fashion sketches based on screenshots of my Animal Crossing avatar’s various wand outfits - if you wanna see the process that went into these, check out the link below and tune in for some tips, tricks and sleepy vibes 😴 ☕

I've never written a pattern before so sorry for the confusion 😣
I'm not sure if q is a real term but it's similar to a triple stitch except you yarn over one extra time and hence have to pull the yarn through more times??
I will upload a video (can't attach it to this post) which might help!
I'm still reading some tags about wanting a tutorial so I'm guessing some people can't see my reblog in the replies?? Anyway, thought I would post this tutorial/guide seperately just in case!
First, I used three different colours (DK yarn, 3.5mm hook) for an ombre effect. The crochet pattern is adapted from 'basic crochet leaf' by sweet softies 🍃
The front two yellow leaves I made longer: ch15, insert into 2nd ch from hook and slip st, sc, hdc, hdc, dc, dc, tr, tr, tr, q, q, q, q, tr+tr+dc in the last ch, continue on the other side of the chain mirroring the first side.
Then I made 4 amber and 18 red leaves (but this will depend on how long your ribbon is): ch12, insert into 2nd chain from hook and sl st, sc, hdc, dc, tr, tr, q, q, q, q, tr, dc+dc+hdc in last ch, continue and mirror on other side. Weave in all the ends!
For the band, I measured it around my head and added some extra length to attach the hair comb. Mine was 32cm (not incl comb length) but that ended up making it difficult to put on so I would recommend making it a little longer (35cm second time round)!
My ribbon was fabric so I poked the hair comb teeth through. If you don't have fabric that can do this, I think using crocodile clips is a good alternative and might actually make it easier to put on.
Then I used sewing thread and just placed the leaves on and sew them in, trying to overlap them to hide the ribbon underneath. They ended up curling a lot though so if anyone knows how to stop that, please let me know!
And now your done!! Happy crafting!! This one is available on my depop or just dm me 👑🍁🍂

Thank you for waiting!! I am honestly shook by how many people like this post! I didn't expect my crochet leaves hastily sewn on a ribbon band for serotonin would get so many notes 😂
This isn't much of a tutorial but I hope it can serve as a sort of guide and inspiration if you decide to make your own!! (under the cut)

(not sure if q is a correct crochet term but it is yo three times, insert hook into chain, yo and pull up loop, yo pull through 2 sts (4 times))

And now your done!! Apologies if this is difficult to understand, feel free to ask me any questions! Happy crafting 🧶
