So many souls of humans dwell’d within – however so did supernaturals each of them leaving a taste on his lips as their aura of power caressed upon them. Delicious. Samael turned to face the knight once more, “Nothing is worthy of me being drawn here. I have but my own goals and agendas, Mara.” 

Perhaps it was mere boredom that kept her where she was, that narrowed gaze turning in her direction curling Mara’s lips into a grin. Like she’d been seeking something akin to that attention, just to see what would happen. “And what do you observe?” she asked, not caring if such questions might be bothersome in any way. “Care to share what agendas a being such as yourself has to come and observe a town like this? Seems awfully convenient unless you’re just as bored as I am...”

Mara sighed; here she was hoping to urge the other into a little chaos and destruction, mainly because the knight was so... bored. “Of course she does,” Mara muttered under her breath, leaning back against the wall, arms crossing over her chest. “But why stick with what she wants to do? Why not slip a little of your own talents into the game?”

“I like to play with jewels. Sometimes I choose very big ones and I like to imagine people staring at me as I enter a very sparkly room like a true diva. Sometimes I choose only those jewels that reflect my own personality: minimal and functional, because deep down I am a very shy person and I carefully avoid to be in the spotlight.”

she doesn’t bother with dress code. she doesn’t bother with rules or attempting to mask who she is.  none of that.  she wears power on her feature and poise as she approaches the town hall , drawn by the multitudes of inhuman creatures there.  she enters , a celestial force surely noticed by even the humans in attendace.  then , “ where is lilith ? “ , spoken in a voice that demanded everyone listen. she is not sublte , nor does she care.  the potential release of her brother of lucifer was far too important to worry about keeping the humans in the dark.

Mara sipped at her drink from the corner of the room when she felt it. Heard the doors open, felt that power come in and worst of all--that stink of Heaven. Hearing the figure demand Lilith so openly by name, watching the heads turn in that direction, made the knight bristle. A part of Mara was almost indeed tempted to point Lilith out--if she knew where the other demon was. Oh she knew Lilith was at the party, but she’d yet to sense her presence strongly enough to know what body she’d taken. 

Then again, Mara despised Heaven far more than any petty differences she had with the first demon, so she knew, deep down, she’d not do such a thing. But this might just be a chance for things in this dull little human party to get a little interesting (bloody). 

“Who’s looking for Lilith?” she perked up from her spot leaning against the wall, settling her glass down beside her. “I don’t think I recognize you...”

Samael lend his back against the surface of the wall, his arms folding over his chest as fiery hues narrowed onto the knight of hell’s presence, lips parted, “My true self isn’t here. What you and others see is but a fragment.” he responded as he broke eye contact from the other as he drifted it towards the sky, “The true me exists beyond the heavens.” he added as he lowered his gaze down returning it back onto Mara. 

“Figures.” She rolled her eyes, only slightly, and leaned against the wall opposite him. While Mara knew for a fact Samael wasn’t one to be trifled with, she was far more entertained among his company than she would have been with all these others milling about. “And yet you find yourself here. Part of you or not, it matters not. Why, one could only guess you were drawn here by something interesting and it’s definitely not this party.”

“ though maybe for the best , “  she admitted reluctantly.  “ if everyone weren’t playing , this party may end up a blood bath. “  and though she enjoyed such events , this was a gathering of creatures far more powerful than the little black-eyed demons she was used to.  she didn’t want to end up dead because she couldn’t control her anger or bloodlust.

“And there’s something that’s wrong with a blood bath?” she asked, a curl of her lips upwards. Mara relished such a thing, in truth. The feel of the blood on her skin, the smell of it in the air... the taste... It was glorious, to say the least. “It’d definitely bring a little more entertainment to this game than there is now, with all this milling about.”
