Headcanon that Ludwig definitely has nightmares about his past, especially after the WWs. It may also tie in with how he's hard on himself at times and being so responsible when it comes to work, as one of the major heads of the EU.

Oh definitely. Dude has trauma and guilt. Though even without the trauma, he's just a perfectionist and responsible to his core. But the trauma doesn't help either.
