The new KBS weekend drama real has me waiting in a anticipation. As I'm writing this episode 1 is waiting for me. I watched the press release and really enjoyed it. Apart from attesting to my Korean hearing improving,this drama has a ensemble cast. Not just the leads. Veterans ( in my opinion) Kim hye ok, recently stared in the present is beautiful but also oh my baby, home for summer, your honor , my Golden life and the less popular become a meal or be a meal. Cha Hwa Yeon back once again, recently staring in Gentleman and a young lady, my only one , now we are breaking up, run on, once again she is in divorce attorney shin, i might just watch that ( TIME!!!!?).

Kim Chang wan is with us. I'm so exited for the supporting cast. I have high hopes for the next six months

Cha Joo young, recently in The glory ( didn't watch it) but I've seen her in jugglers and wok of love. I will se what she all about.

At its core you are my spring is a Healing drama, if that is your cup of tea then walk with me. Da Jung has a string of bad exes because she attracts "trash like man" . Young-do is a psychiatrist who will help her and he too will be helped.

the plot relies heavily on the murder that took place tying our characters together but i feel like somewhere along the way the murder plot was pushed aside. and we focused too much on the healing of our leads.

i liked how the murder case was solved, all characters had the opportunity to remove the "knives from their throat" ( you will know what that mean if you watch it) for some characters it is not a quick fix.

it was a sloppy finish, the final episode was a bit hard to follow and bland compare to the earlier episodes. it tied of plots we barely knew. and i really had a hard time keeping up with Dr chase and His brother

i give this drama an 8.5 for plot, emotional gravity, emotional clarity but take away points for plot holes and average finale execution .

this man deserves a standing ovation. Lee mina, the writer deserves the same. this has quickly become my favorite drama of the year. no fluff, the drama did a good job maintaining a happy note, or rather that we all must keep living despite the scars we bear.

the end of episode 15 was by far the most heartwarming moment Young-Do and Dr Chase have had. episode 16 is tonight so i will see how that wraps up and make a full review.

cannot believe we are here, 2 more episode to go. but what did i love??

The reunion. butterflies in my stomach. that's all i am going to say

i never mentioned this but Haneul calling himself west sky really stayed with me. i was rooting for him and Jin-ho but really happy for Eun-Ha story line. too bad it wont ne explored more. Patrick and Ga-Yeong R.I.P to a second lead couple we needed.

There is nothing to see here! just a couple of 30 year old's still struggling with their childhood trauma. in the last episode( 11,12) Kang Da jeong said that childhood trauma is like a knife that is stuck in her throat and that maybe this was the year she pulled it out. Young do on the other hand said that if we could find the moment in time when the darkest members of our society needed help, that moment when they needed help but got none. could we understand them? don't get me wrong I am not condoning any inhumane acts .

most of our behaviors, fears, thought patterns is set by our childhood for better or worse...

Episode 2,3 and 4

this drama is good but is not getting the support. some are blaming the time slot, i just think its a case of "finding yourself in the ring with some heavy hitters" not just from other channels but within Tvn, Devil judge and Hospital Playlist are a force to be reckoned with.

also this drama takes a new approach to a genre, in my last post i said it felt like a suspense thriller but the tittle gives a melodrama feel. it is a healing drama.

The Actual Review!!!

The drama maintains a raw feeling of emptiness that the characters face as a result of their past trauma and still finds time to have heartfelt moments that remind us that even with a painful past it is possible to have beautiful moments from now and then.

at the moment i thing the tittle comes from, that they can find each others resting place.

Be A Meal, Good supper

i have been watching this drama since January and in 2 days its all coming to an end. There were days when i wanted to cut my loses ( episodes 70-90 i am looking at you) but i am glad i stuck with it.

now that its ending i think they could have done way much better with those episodes. some characters are a bit undeveloped. i think Joon had a lot of room to grow, I don't want him to end up as the guy who couldn't get over his childhood trauma. however I do like the fact that he has transformed for the creepy, obsessive man who couldn't accept defeat.

oh Bok and DaJung deserve their happy ending but their relationship really came out of nowhere, and now at the 115 episode mark its falling apart. dajung's mother is once again depicted as a shallow woman to allow for the plot.

Young Shin despite being the lead really hasn't grown that much. The writers tried to make their relationship work with the amnesia bit but in the wake of that plot only Gyun Soo changed while Young shin remained the same bordering on a annoying the life out of me. i loved the drama if you are the chill type

Episode 1-4

What i hated

The female lead having a break up. I understand she needed a push to change herself. Because of the breakup she swears to "not hold back or put up with things that aren't right" more power to her but it felt cliché.

In the relation to the breakup, the boyfriend turned out to be Gay!! Since ep till ep 4 we don't see said couple. Feels like queer bating.

The cliché male lead, icy on the outside warm on the inside.the lead can't pull of the icy bitㅋㅋㅋ

What i loved

The leads are a match made in heaven. They are simply cute. A funny. The scenes they share are real.

It's mysterious to me who the second lead will be. The work mate or the antagonist

Despite having cliché tropes doesn't feel cringy.

I haven't watched the movie so this is solely from the drama
