One of my favorite things upon returning to this fandom is that shift. I’ve always kind of steared clear or glossed over fics that vilify Inuyasha as a tool to build a sesskag narrative.

hate Inuyasha all you want but Kagome will NEVER hate him…. and if their was ever an alternate universe where they weren’t romantically together Kagome would still be Inuyasha’s best friend. and I know Inuyasha would still risk his life to protect her.. no matter who she ended up with. I actually like sesskag but I dislike when fic writers downplayed the bond between Inuyasha and Kagome in order to pair her with sesshomaru. this is why I love forthright!! she is a huge sesskag fic writer but the bond between Inukag is always there. she is also the author of one of my favorite fics”Imperceptible”, it made me see the potential of sesskag but she never forgets the bond that Inuyasha and Kagome share… forthright never misses😭😏
