⟡ ═══ ♛ ═══ ⟡ “…” Aaaand there it is. The most dreaded NAGGING. It’s like she can’t even get a papercut without it, some days. Someone’s always going to be on her case.

         ˙ “Thanks, dad.” she’s too tired for any playful tones, so it just comes out flat.

         ˙ Admittingly, it IS very convenient how he always manages to patch her up whenever she winds up in a state like this, like some magical laundromat. No torn clothes. No dirt. No dead vamp dust. All clean again~ The throbbing in her face is also starting to lessen, the bruising starting to fade. 

        ˙ She’d just be more likely to thank him if he wouldn’t always be complaining and throwing THOSE comments in.

         ˙ She absentmindedly wipes some blood off of her face, watching as the red streaks disappear off of her hand “If you ever manage to burn through the Kuran fortune, I’ll toss in a good word for you and HQ might just hire you as drycleaner~” Please stop nagging her. She’s begging.ish. Or rather, she’s getting snarky because his nagging is annoying her, but same thing.

Takuma frowned, although he had expected that answer.  Despite knowing Kaname for so long, it felt like there was always a barrier that existed between them when it came to earning the pureblood’s trust and he couldn’t blame him for that.

∞ ═══ ♚ ═══ ∞ ❝Be grateful I didn't interfere in your latest venture.❞ He could've ended that shit show before she even stepped foot into the area. Oh, but that would be robbing her of her job, a bad thing by her measure. It's just something he can't quite get, and at the same time, perhaps she's just bored and this is her calling.

Frankly, he'd rather not watch, but it's like a car accident you just can't look away. He runs a hand over her shoulder, energy flowing outward. Weaving around her limbs, lifting away dirt and blood and dust. ❝All this time and you're still as reckless as ever.❞ Her blatant running into danger without considering consequences, when will she ever learn?

⟡ ═══ ♛ ═══ ⟡ “… Che. How annoying.” Not to mention - it HURTS. But that just adds to the annoyance. Damned level E’s- did her leg look like some sort of bone for those beasts to gnaw on?

         ˙ As if.

         ˙ Had she been in hunter gear, the material would’ve offered a bout of protection. But she’d simply been out in town when she sensed the nest nearby ( how had HQ allowed it to stay there unnoticed anyway? Ugh. Even MORE annoying ). On the job or not, it’s not like she could let it be, so she didn’t. The nest had turned out far bigger than expected ( which made it even MORE surprising that it seemed to have gone unnoticed, what is HQ even DOING?? ) and despite taking care of the problem, she hadn’t gotten out unscathed.

         ˙ Running her fingers through her dust-and-blood stained hair, Eiri puts her shoe back on after inspecting the damage fully. It’s annoying, it stings, but it’ll heal. She can still walk ( even if it hurts ), and, quite frankly? Her blood smells FAR too potent to linger in what used to be a crazy vampire nest just to sulk.

         ˙ Pushing to her feet, she brushes more dust off of herself, then starts to limp back to a more civilized area. They’re gross, but she’ll just have to use a public bathroom at the nearby park to try to get rid of all the blood and dust. Being covered in dead vampires isn’t exactly a hobby she enjoys.

Among the sparse trees, hanging on gangly branches, Kaname's familiars watch. It's her prerogative to eliminate Level E's—more so a nest of them. However, much to his displeasure even when clearly outnumbered, she'd rather take it on all herself—never once calling for assistance. As though pride-driven.

He should know by now just how stubborn Hunters can be.

Keeping watch during the latest class session, until he's had enough of being a by-stander. He leaves the rest to Takuma and departs into the corridor, vanishing in a flurry of bats.

Darkness unfolds around Eiri as she makes her slow trek back to the city. Until he emerges from their depths and crosses over to her, "Eiri."

         ˙ His fingers are long and slender - beautiful, like the rest of him. But she won’t let that mesmerize her. Never has. She’ll leave that for the rest of the world. Instead she laces her fingers and jerks him closer with a sharp tug ( even if she IS fully aware that the only reason she can, is because he’s letting her ).

         ˙ She purrs up at him through her lashes, coy smirk in place on glossy lips. “You’re better with actions then with words, Kuran.”

∞ ═══ ♚ ═══ ∞ Her hands offer no such subtlety, instead they're rough, demanding even, ❝For that, let's get away from here.❞ His fingers coil around her arm, tugging her closer still as shadows curl around their feet, ready to take her away.

∞ ═══ ♚ ═══ ∞ He halts upon approaching her, she speaks in such an open manner he's always found rather refreshing. Holds nothing back. Good or bad, it's always been a delight to behold. Watching her like this, it's a wonder isn't it? The path she's taken, a fortunate one in a way. Any other and nothing would be the same.

A flicker and it's gone, her next comment draws his attention back.

Amuse her?

❝With words?❞ He murmurs. Standing beside her, his hand gently moves toward her own. Fingers tracing up her palm, down again.

⟡ ═══ ♛ ═══ ⟡ Despite being two floors from the designated hall, she can still sense the many vampires crowded in the luxuriously decorated underground ballroom, crowded together like a bunch of bees, buzzing around their pureblooded queen bee, huh?

         ˙ Leaning against the doorway, she gazes out upon the maintained garden. Water and greenery, she’s just glad there aren’t any flowers near ; they’d just perish from her proximity.

         ˙ The moon reflects on her hair, mirrors in her eyes which come with their usual faint glow. All things considered, she’d say she found a rather peaceful place to take a small break. Though she’s not the only one it seems.

         ˙ “Gonna keep on staring all night long~?” she doesn’t need to turn to know who is lingering at the door. His aura is unmistakable, as always. The queen bee has left his hive to grace her with his presence, it seems.
