This video was recommended to me today and I watched it out of curiosity. Honestly I think this is one of the best advice videos for adults who want to get (back) into art I've seen and it only has around 400 views right now. So I thought I'd share it on my art blog that at least has a couple followers.

If you've ever wanted to try to get into art but felt intimidated or don't know where to start I really recommend it. Even if you are an artist I think some of the exercises she gives at the end might be a fun to do to get out of an art block or help when you feel like you're stuck.

I can't believe I actually managed to draw something every month this year. Although for most months this is the only thing I drew. Well. I'll take what I can get.

This year I think I might take a step back from art, so don't worry if I post even less. I think I need some time to re-evaluate what I want and where I want to go from here. There are also a few things I want to prioritize this year, so I'm not sure how much time there will be left for art.

Okay I will not post my full 15 pages of description here, I will try to summarize a little, but I can’t promise anything. (Also sorry for bad grammar, English is not my first language)

So, during the events of RDR2 Nora works at the Stable just south of Emerald Ranch. It belongs to her aunt and uncle, who she has been staying with since her mother died when she was a teenager. Her father is an outlaw who only knew her mother for a few weeks and never even learned he has a daughter.

Her aunt taught her to read and write, skills that she uses to occasionally forge papers for stolen horses, which is how she eventually meets Arthur. He sometimes brings dubiously acquired horses around, which she buys for a slightly better price than some other stables. She wants to save up money to leave the stable someday, because as much as she likes horses, she doesn’t want to spend her whole life there.

When John and Arthur park an oil wagon near the stable, she agrees to take care of the horses for a bit without asking too many questions. After the train robbery she gets arrested because she refuses to give up the identities or whereabouts of the people involved (this is actually a little bit more complicated but it’s too much to write now). Arthur, who went back to question her as well, suspecting she might have ratted them out, reluctantly saves her from being arrested. After all, it is kind of him and John’s fault she even got mixed up in this.

Because she can’t go back to the stable after this incident and doesn’t have anywhere else to go, she joins Dutch’s gang. It turns out, the outlaw life actually suits her well and she makes friends with a few of the members.

After this she’s involved in a bunch of the game’s story and gets into some trouble of her own, but I won’t write all of that now (both for lenght and spoiler reasons lol). Instead, have some random facts about her:

She is mostly deaf in her right ear because a gun went of right next to her head (anther separate story that’s too long to write here)

Her father is, in fact the Flaco Hernández (because I love him okay)

She somehow convinced Javier to teach her some Spanish

Between the events of RDR2 and the Epilogue, she works as a bookkeeper for some moonshiners for a while

Her favorite horse back at the stable was a Shire named Poppy, but she had to leave her behind when she joined the gang
