#cairparavelnet’s July event: The Monarchy

                                                     EDMUND I, THE JUST

Edmund Pevensie was one of the four Pevensie monarchs of the Golden Age; he ruled Narnia alongside his siblings for fifteen years. Just like his siblings, he was feared by many & was thought to be magical after having been part of ending the One Hundred Year Winter.

Being the one of the siblings who betrayed the country before he even understood it, Edmund had a hard time proving himself to the people. But, like Aslan & the other three monarchs, the Narnians fully forgave him; by the third year of his reign, none but himself continued to think of him as a traitor. 

Because of his time with the witch, Edmund became a very quiet person around anyone who wasn’t his family. He taught himself to fight with two swords, & spent the majority of his free time researching the History of Narnia & all sorts of counter-attacks against witchcraft. Due to this, he became the best swordsman in the country & the most apt of the four Pevensies to deal with strategic situations as they presented themselves. He became the Head of Justice, & the most feared, yet trusted monarch of the Golden Age. 

Edmund proposed to & married the most important of Lucy’s ladies in waiting at age 18 after a nearly four-year-long secret romance, surprising every noble, soldier & worker in the castle. Theirs became a love for the ages, & was spoken about dearly by the people until the fall of Narnia at the end of the world. He had four children off this marriage, two of whom he adored & doted on publically until his disappearance on September of NY 1015.
