three tropes i can’t stop thinking abt rn

captor wiping blood across the captive’s face humiliatingly, controllingly. gun pushed into mouth, hand gripping chin, gun cocked, whumpee flinches but tries to hold still. manhandling - shoved into the wall, pressed into the ground, dragged back when they try to crawl away, arms held down/behind them, chin grabbed and head turned, handful of hair grabbed and head forced back, shoved to the ground, led forward by hand at the back of the neck.

Leslie can’t remember a time she felt this terrible. Chills wrack her body, her stomach can’t hold anything, and she’s so weak. It’s getting hard to keep her eyes open. As an enchantress, she’s used to healing people and helping them feel better. But, when it comes to herself having a cold, there’s nothing her magic can do.

“Are you feeling any better, cherry blossom?”

The sudden voice snaps her out of her miserable thoughts, and she turns to her girlfriend. Seren must’ve known how horrible she’s been feeling, she had shown up yesterday afternoon and was doing everything to make her feel better.

“…not yet…” she replies softly, curling up on the bed, shivering. Arms slide gently around her, and she looks up into white eyes.

Seren moves her hand up, gently touching Leslie’s face as she tries to find her forehead. For the first time in her life, she hates that she can’t see. She wants nothing more than to be able to look at her girlfriend’s face, see her smile. See her happy. Or see her now, feeling sick, and try to make her feel better.

Her hand finally lands on Leslie’s forehead, and she gasps. “You’re burning up! Do you need me to get you anything? Medicine, water–?”

Leslie suddenly moves closer, her eyes shut as she rests against Seren.

“No… just stay with me?”

Without hesitating, her arms once again wrap around her, pulling her into a gentle embrace. “I can do that.” She whispers, kissing her forehead.
