after reading tons of hobbit fanfiction, i have opinions about dwarven cities underground.
first- wheelchairs should exist. are you telling me a race of warriors engineers never thought to put wheels on a chair for their wounded veterans.
second - everything should be wheelchair accessible. if your proud wounded warriors can't get to a place in the mountain, someone should get kicked out of the architect guild.
also see: dwarves would be experts in prosthetic limbs, they would make works of art covered in jewels.
sometimes, adding diversity in fiction is less "we should add representation" and more "it would make bloody sense".

one of the most important things, perhaps the most important thing I have learned in my life is that nice people can fuck each other up in monstrous ways. people can be bone deep kind and loving and self reflective and still lash out under pressure. people can be earnestly neighbourly and charitable and hospitable and generous and still find themselves in situations where they become selfish. people can be well meaning and easygoing and gregarious and hold deep seated opinions that turn them into vicious little bullies under the right conditions. nobody is just one thing, and nobody stays one way. every person is a kaleidoscope and they will surprise you. you will surprise yourself. it's not a warning and it's not a judgement and it's not an excuse, and it's certainly not a reason to stop trying or to stop trusting. it is just a fact.

Just a little something I though of that might encourage some interactions around these parts. Feel free to use these daily prompts and ideas on your own page! Don't forget, if someone comments on your response, try to comment on their's!
Meet the character Monday: Introduce us to one of your characters!
Tip of the world Tuesday: Tell us something interesting about the world your character lives in. Go deep into your world lore/building
WIP Wednesday: Post a paragraph from your current wip. Make sure to comment on other's works!
Thirsty Thursday: Talk about one of your ships in you WIP. If there isn't any romance involved, talk to us about the kinds of relationships your character has with other characters.
Fun fact Friday: Give us a random fun fact about a character/setting/etc.
Sit down Saturday: What do your character's do in their downtime? What are some common recreational things people do in your world?

Some of the Imperial propaganda pictures I referenced and used as inspiration for a scene in the latest chapter of my fic ‘only as strong as the warrior next to you’. 😊 (Please do mind the tags.)
All of the images above can be found in “Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy”. It’s an amazing reference book and I’m really enjoying it!! It also came with 10 free posters included… bonus. 😃🙏 Also, made a rebels equivalent – check it out!

The Moon. Art by Karina Pavlova, from The Corrupted Tarot.
A shattered reflection of a werewolf—as unstable in her physical form as she is in her wrecked mind. She denies accepting all the facets of her nature, including her weakness and monstrousness. When the corrupted Moon appears in a reading, you must muster your courage and sense of self, or you will remain lost in the darkness.

The core appeal of Willy Wonka is that he's a nigh-omnipotent maniac who uses his near limitless powers over reality to trick shitty people into killing themselves. You can't make him the protagonist of a whimsical coming of age tale - you have to treat him like Jason Voorhees, or Dracula, or any other horror icon. Give him some new victims and new interesting kills and set him loose, that's all audiences want.

to all of my dear ao3 authors: if you are insecure about the hits to kudos/bookmarks/comments ratio, you are interpreting them wrong. notice how on social media, you usually can't see how many people viewed your textpost? on ao3 you can, because it's not a silly shower thought. it's literature. you are writing a piece of art and publishing it; and if it got 300 hits and 50 kudos, that means 300 people bought your book and 50 of them bothered to go leave a review with a thumbs up on the shop's website. it doesn't matter that only 50 people did that: what matters is that 300 got so interested that they read your work, invested their time and energy into it, and, even if they didn't leave a kudos, even if they didn't get to the end, you probably managed to get your message across and a memory of your work is now in their head. isn't that the point of writing? leaving something in people's thoughts. you are doing a great job just by creating something, remember.
but to my dear ao3 readers: do leave kudos when you like something. it's the nice thing to do.
