Benny is literally straight. Like. In canon, he had a girlfriend and only expressed interest in women. Dean was just his friend and the breakup thing in the script was platonic. That being said, I do want to clarify there is a lot of evidence for Dean not being straight. But Benny? Don't think so.

To your other anon asking about FFBC and Jared, and Jared talked about the the brewery and made it seem like he was very involved, and when Jensen had the name registered, that was confirmation it was theirs bc Family Business, and Jared had his wine line he said would be there, and Jensen was all silence, and then Jared faded into the background and it was all Jensen/Dee/Gino, and then Jared invested in the San Jac Saloon, and it came out that actually Misha and Vicki helped J/D get FFBC going.

quite possibly, this is one the best-written fics I’ve read on this site. it feels quite genuine to Dean, who he is as a person, which, I know for factuality, is right hard to do whilst one is attempting to soften his edges. perfect balance of the real Dean Winchester, and the absolute softie he has the potential to be.

It’s one of those winter days where the time ticks by too slowly, dark creeping over the town before dinner time, the days getting shorter and the nights getting longer.

It’s night like these that make Dean antsy - he hates the feeling of wasted time, so he tries to keep himself busy. 

He needs to get Sam a Christmas gift, even though Sam tries to tell him every year that they don’t need to bother. Still, he finds himself wandering into a bookstore he’s seen a hundred times before but has never gone into.

He’s hoping he can find something old, something to appease his younger brother’s inner nerd. He chuckles to himself.

And if he spends a little extra time browsingor something for himself too, well.. who can blame him? It’s cozy in here, warm air and the smell of a pine scented candle, along with the whir of the espresso machine in the corner as it brews. 

He turns the corner down an aisle and almost crashes right into someone, their small yelp causing him to reach out on instinct, a hand finding an elbow as his own books fall to the ground at his feet.

“I’m sorry,” you say, and he makes sure you’re steady before he leans down, picking up the titles he dropped.

“It’s my fault, I wasn’t looking–” 

He stops when he finally meets your eyes, because wow. If this wasn’t some cliche, Hallmark movie shit. You’re gorgeous - eyes he could drown in if given the chance, a glow about you that makes him feel like he can’t look away.
