Where my mind’s at rn
It took me a pandemic to realize the importance of unwinding. While some days I feel like I am missing the train so I have to keep running, other days I remind myself that I can’t pour from an empty glass. I should never have to apologize for taking time off for me. Allow yourself at least x minutes a day to unwind and reset for the next day. You pick the “x”. It’s about you.
This evening I read my favourite chapter of Ulysses in the bath and listened to my flatmate playing Debussy on the piano in her room. Feeling so calm and restful 🌙✨

A perfect cup of coffee on a winter morning while you smell the fresh flowers and bask in the sun.
Working from home is hard, personalize it to make the process easier. Set up your space that will radiate positive vibes and help you ride out the waves. For me, I have incorporated fresh flowers in my room to keep feeling alive. I’ve also added lots of different scented candles. I burn a candle first thing in the morning- the scent instantly lifts my mood and the different scents helps me break monotony from my everyday life.
I love how stark winter sun can be! This light gives me such good energy especially having to spend the day on video calls ✨
