So... The future?

The last time I posted something in here was in March apparently. Oops

You might have guessed already but this blog is coming to an end. It survived this long even though these past 3 years have been one huge rollercoaster for me and I don't even like rollercoasters.

But don't you worry! I'm actually doing great! I got a job few months ago, I'll graduate soon and I'm on a path to heal myself. I just haven't had the motivation to draw much and even when I've managed to draw something, I've wanted to keep them to myself. Just my silly sketches with no pressure to put them anywhere, you know?

I won't destroy this blog, I want to be able to come back to it. Plus I don't want to make a new account since this is my main one and I still want to check upon some blogs I follow from time to time. I might post stuff in here or not, so feel free to keep following me or just move one. I also have an Instagram by the same name but it's pretty silent too atm.

To sum it up, thank you for everything ❤️ I've gotten so far in my art thanks to your support and I'll always be grateful for that. Stay awesome, live your best life and maybe we'll see again later

Ruf ruf! He's so happy to be finished! I wonder what kind of adventures and allies he'll end up encountering?

Even after gaining an anthromorphic bodies, guardians will still enjoy the same things as when they were animals. Finding a funny smell, sleeping in a warm nest, getting those sweet belly rubs.... Just be careful who you try to pet, not everyone is the same!

Such a good boy~ Or maybe a bit mischievous? Nobody knows for sure yet!

Dogs are the most common type of guardians. Due to their loyalty, they might try to find their owner or pack after they are reborn but not many succeed. When they turn into guardians, their memories get clouded and most of the time they lose the crucial details needed to find their old homes. The feelings will stay though and some guardians find their owners purely by luck, getting overwhelmed with emotions when encountering them again.

It usually takes a bit more time for rabbit guardians to adjust to human society since most of them lived on their own in the forests and fields before they became guardians. Some may be familiar with humans already if they were tamed and cared by someone while they were still alive and well as normal animals

I've been traveling by train today and used that time to sketch this cutie. I don't have a name for her yet, would you like to suggest something? I imagine her being cheerful and active, prefering practical clothing and equipments. She specializes in potion making and can heal or cause some serious damage with her potions.

Though rabbit guardians are unusual, you can still ocassionally spot one. Males tend to study combat skills whereas females go towards supporting roles, for example potion making or healing spells

Just a little doodle with Promarkers and some more ideas for these guardians. Also, I don't know whether to call them guardians or something else, what do you think?

They are reborn with randomly placed see-through spots around their bodies which are usually pretty neutral colored, shimmering slightly. You won't see flesh or bones, only glimmering spirit material. Sometimes the guardian is reborn with colored spots instead, indicating how their life came to an end. For example blueish colors could indicate water, ice, cold. This usually only happens to the ones who didn't die of old age and they might try to hide them since in these cases, the spots might appear on the same areas that got the fatal blow while they were still ordinary animals.

What's this? I actually made another drawing of the same random concept? Daamn.

Anyways, here's some more concept art about the idea I briefly introduced in my previous drawing. The core idea is that some animals, usually pets, who have a really strong will and need to protect others are reborn as anthromorphic spirits, representing the same species they once were before their deaths. In anthromorphic body they have more means to protect others and most of them learn skills from humans such as fighting, healing and potion making. To honor these strong-willed spirits, some humans devote their lifes to guide these spirits when they are reborn, clothing, feeding and teaching them.

This drawing's idea is that this spirit is trying out clothes for the first time, amazed of how they feel and look on them.

I didn't get a random inspiration during one night to make "pets reborn as anthro spirits to protects others" thing/universe/idea. Not at all. I'll just have to see where this goes but at least I liked making the transparent parts!

Update

Heya! Just a small update regarding Inktober and my own well-being. I will put the more personal stuff under the cut so you don’t have to read it unless you want to. No matter what, I’m still grateful to you all for your support ❤

As you may have noticed from my lack of content, I’m not able to finish Inktober this year. It saddens me since I managed to do it two years in a row but I would rather not get burned out from making art too. There’s always the next year and at least I drew a bit more than half of the prompts! Thank you for supporting my Inktober process, I’ll see you again next year!

So, now some info about my overall situation. I have been more stressed/anxious for several months now and most of the time I can’t get excited about the things I love, like drawing, reading and playing games even though I’m doing less work (school and job related) than ever. I think I’ve been anxious for longer than that, just not as badly as now. My theory is that I finally burned myself out during the summer and it’s harder than ever to bounce back to my usual self. I’m doing my best to get better and enjoy the moments when I do find motivation and inspiration to do my favorite things but sometimes it’s just hard. That’s why I might seem really inactive in here even though I want to do more.

But as I said, I’m taking steps to make it better. I will graduate within a year and hopefully after that I can relax better. I’m trying out new things and aiming to do more instead of just giving up before starting it properly. And when I do find motivation, I just go into the zone and no one can stop me which feels so great. I will overcome this!
