I think people need to understand that you don’t always have to accept apologies. It doesn’t make you a bad person. It doesn’t make you unforgiving or cruel. Sometimes , we can’t accept apologies because we cannot simply forget how people have hurt us so deeply and deliberately. Apologies are often made to be accepted, but they don’t have to be. We can appreciate apologies without accepting them. Apologies are a way to repair you, but they will never change the fact that someone tried to tear you down in the first place. So sometimes it’s ok to say that it’s not okay, and that you don’t accept their apology.

And my god, I hope you wake up one morning to someone who loves you like you’re a sunflower and they’re desperate to keep you alive. I hope you dance with them in the small space of your kitchen floor, messy hair and tired eyes because you both been up all night watching movies again. I hope you find someone who makes you happy, even when you feel like sometimes, life is too hard for you.
