@gabunion: today’s wcw is kiki. at the age of 7 kiki proclaimed that she wanted to sing and act, and quickly enrolled in theatre school. she continued her acting education, obtaining a bachelor of fine arts in acting from the theatre school at DePaul university and started booking jobs. this eventually led to her breakout performance in If Beale St Could Talk, which has taken the world by storm. she commands our attention in every frame. she is THAT good. I had the pleasure of meeting her during my book tour in NYC and reminded her to be her own best advocate and to always speak up for yourself on set and in life and don’t take no shit. folks, she is the real deal and is here to stay. she already has 2 more movies completed for 2019, so keep an eye for them (Native Song & Captive State) keep shining mama and know you are loved, supported and appreciated! let us lift her up in the light of goodness and hold her there!
