For moodboards - how complicated would they need to be and how much time would a creator get to work on them before the event?

Hi!

For the award moodboards, it doesn't have to be too complicated.

Text that needs to be on it:

Category

Story Title

Author

If it's for Best Supporting Character or Original Character, the character's name should also be on it.

If it's for a Fanfic Community award, the only text is the category and the recipient.

The visuals we leave up to the award-makers. But if it's a character award, you need at least one picture of the character. We know that can be hard for OCs, whom the author may or may not have designated a faceclaim for. Just try to get the mood/vibes of the story that you are assigned to make an award for.

As for how much time, that depends on the number of awards, the number of award-makers, and the estimated time frame. We try not to publically announce the ceremony date too early so that pollers can get all of their calculations presented, assign awards, and give the award-makers time to read enough of the stories and make the awards. That way, we can push it if need be. However, we try to give at least two to three weeks before the award ceremony date.

Cobra Kai fans, fanfic writers, and readers,

We have a conundrum. As it stands, we do not have enough people to hold the Cobra Kai Fanfiction Awards. If you would like us to hold them this year (for the fics written, posted, updated, or finished on AO3 for the calendar year of 2023), then we need your help.

This is strictly volunteer. But we need pollers and artists/moodboard makers.

If we can't generate enough interest or help, then the Fanfic Awards will be paused until after Season 6 airs for a presumably final event.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
