art fight 2023 wrapup! at the start of this month i had the vague goal of beating my record number of attacks by one or two and ended up nearly doubling it. i am confused and exhausted and will never reach that level of productivity again. anyway congratulations to werewolf team bc we definitely destroyed the opposition. much love

accidentally got invested in final space last week. my favorites are the wunderkind kitty cat and the space war-criminal his dad! 💙🧡

#i have repeatedly forgotten to watch the show since the pilot debuted BUT the graphic novel news finally got me to do it #my verdict is that it is VERY hit or miss but it mostly hits. it's pretty cute #final space #avocato #little cato #hysterical to do the ''violent merc with a dark past'' shtick and then name the guy avocado. by the way. genius. #oh also when i say ''favorites'' i doooo mean ''basically the only ones i cared about by the end'' #but i meeean. like it's myyy fault they did a solid father son dynamic and then threw in some VERY unexpected curveballs. i had no choice.

wooo another one!! i have been thankfully feeling this way for a while now, but i am so happy with the direction my art is going. it doesn’t really show in this reflection, but i’ve been trying lots of new things stylistically, and it’s been so refreshing. this year was the busiest i’ve ever been by far but drawing has been such a relief, which is good, because i was secretly terrified that an art degree would kill my love of casually making art. it did not. i still really, really like drawing. so imma keep doing that. happy new year, everyone 💙

wait when did atreus make his own armor that resembled kratos?? when did i miss this?? (i watched someones playthrough so i guess thats where but can you tell me where it happens?) 😭😭

oh it happens before the game!! the embroidery is on the default yellow armor he wears at the very beginning. it's also never pointed out in-game; i never would have noticed on my own, but i downloaded the official cosplay guide for drawing references and saw some flavor text from lúnda that points it out

(i also exaggerated how similar they are for visibility's sake, i am sorry for lying to you all)

#requiem was very good. but AIIEEEE i wasn't anticipating the ending to be that much of a sucker punch. jeepers. #i am officially retiring from playing video games to avoid future expenses and it seems i have chosen a good time this cannot continue.. #a plague tale #a plague tale: requiem #this is meant as a kind of companion piece to some art i did two years ago with the innocence characters and collectibles #things that have changed since then: the survival rate of main characters (worse) my art style (worse) and my mental health (worse) #things that are the same as then: my willingness to stretch the symbolic meanings of collectibles to suit my own narrative (immense) #but apparently seagulls literally mean AY YOUR MOM IS GONNA DIE so i have that on my side
