Hello!

The following is information on everything currently regarding Dial-Up shipments.

'What happened?'

(Or 'What's taking so long?')

For those who aren't aware, I still have some orders to ship. Originally, as most know, both generally and due to Covid, our pre-order delivery time had been heavily extended due to printing and producing delays. With most items I had tried to support local, small businesses. But in doing so, when they ended up closing their doors, we didn't receive the money back. After this, it had taken a while to get the money back, as I had to do so through the bank. At this point, it was early 2021 and, while I had a handful of items in my possession, I didn't yet have the rest of the money to ship out the items. After receiving some money in my personal finances, I had put that toward shipping out as many orders as I could. The money ended up not being enough for all orders, so I prioritized the smaller, lighter orders in order to get the most out. Currently, what remains are orders that include multiple items, collector's editions, or orders that contain items I just couldn't end up ordering due to the money.

Since then, I had received a small portion more, as well as the money back from the bank, which would let me finish mailing the orders out and refunding any items I cannot ship. I had received this money during an extremely stressful point in my life and had made the personal decision to focus on that rather than to continue balancing them both. After that had ended, within a few days my computer which I used to print labels, among other tasks, broke (no zine data or information is missing or corrupted, the computer just can't boot up). Currently, I have found an alternative workspace I can finish the orders from with help of my friend, but can't start using it for another few days.

What Took So Long to Address It?

The reason I took so long to address the current state is because as I was shipping out the other orders, I had the constant belief that it wouldn't take too long until I could get the rest out, and that I should make an announcement after the fact on what happened rather than a post that feels like an excuse on why it's still taking so long. I have continuously had the belief that shipping was just around the corner, and kept putting it off. I am addressing it now to prevent the idea that I took the money and ran, as some have taken to believe. I understand the circumstances make it look like that, and I hope I have the chance now to thwart that idea.

TL;DR:

Orders are shipping as soon as I can start using a borrowed computer to print labels (soon)

I am only making this announcement now because I constantly put it off in the past in hopes I could do it post shipment

Am I completely and utterly late? I'd love to order the writing zine, at least. Have any of these shipped yet? And is there a plan to restock in the future? Maybe for Spirit Phone's 5th anniversary? Thank you for reading.

We might have some left after they ship out, but currently they're available digitally online at gumroad.com/mobiusstripclub. They will restock eventually, but I'm still unsure how to go about doing it. :-)

This might be a dumb question, but when everything is out is that going to be the end of it? Like no restocks or anything?

Since I was overzealous and listed about five of everything, the results for each product were pretty scarce (i.e. 8 sales or less for each sticker rather than 50 on one) which is super hard for production cost. That means the artists get less money.

So, at the end of the month, only the designs that were the most popular and any remaining stock will be available for purchase. Most shirts, prints, a few charms, stickers, things like that will not be available probably come November.

The zines will always be available as long as we're running though, so no need to worry on that front.
