in any case, we are still here, and we need your help.

due to relentless bombing for more than 40 continuous days, much of our cities and villages in Artsakh have been destroyed. houses, buildings, streets, churches, cultural centres. on top of the destruction and death this war has brought to my people, we are struggling to cope with covid - number of new cases have been steadily increasing since the war broke out, for obvious reasons. Armenians of the diaspora have been donating since the war broke out (and even before that, because it is with our donations that we built Artsakh after the first war 30 years ago). we are a small country, with limited resources, and this war and pandemic has put a strain on us. we were struggling before, but now we need all the help we can get.

I didn’t want to add anything cause it’s pretty much nailed everything, but I want to add, that previous to this, I used to not care much lately for Trump, he didn’t directly impact me as a non American... and I was happy with that. Many things were disgusting and outrageous to witness, but my daily life wasn’t ever impacted by Trump like an American or even other nationalities had been... and then COVID happened. And let me tell you, my opinion has drastically changed, and my need for Trump to fuck off has skyrocketed, not only for the US, but for the whole ass world. Trump has notoriously been the biggest misinformation source for COVID from the get go: Trump has been the biggest source of Covid-19 misinformation, study finds

His reach has been LONG, he has influenced countless of idiots with his anti-mask , anti-science rhetoric, I’m not saying those people didn’t exist before, but it is clear as day he has been giving them ammunition with his platform and it is dangerous, internationally... you have no idea how mad I am. When people in the US started protesting masks and lockdown, most of the rest of the world thought ‘oh that’s just Americans being Americans’, it was Trump cultists actually, but this has created a global movement of dumbassery all over the planet it seems. And lo and behold, you can see that kind of shit in Europe at anti mask protests in Germany or France or other places:

Those ppl tried to storm the Reichstag in Berlin btw, yeah that’s how crazy it’s gotten... so yeah the US president has, unfortunately, still a big impact on the world... 

also i do love americans saying that people outside of the us can’t make jokes to cope w this as if what happens during this godforsaken election doesn’t impact us all…..as if the re-election of trump won’t result in more fascist leaders coming to power……….as if we don’t have family and friends who will be directly impacted by this…….as if we haven’t already been fucking traumatized by the leader of one of the most influential countries spewing hate speech on our screens……….
