SHOCKING Reunion at Klavier Gavin's First Day on Trial!

LOS ANGELES -- July 26, 2029 by Reese Porter

As Klavier Gavin entered the courtroom as defendant in this week's talk-of-the-town trial, the question on everybody's minds was: who will be defending him? Potential names floated around in the past day included that of famed attorney Phoenix Wright, whose disbarrment after facing Gavin in 2024 is the stuff of legend; newbie lawyer Athena Cykes, or the somewhat elusive Raymond Shields. But standing at the defense bench this morning was none other than Apollo Justice, Gavin's longtime courtroom opponent and former member of the victim Kristoph Gavin's law office.

Justice's last known whereabouts were in a small country known as Khura'in, where he is said to have set up his own law firm in order to aid with the restructuring of the country's legal system. It seems unlikely that he would have been able to travel all the way across the globe in time to defend Gavin, but stranger things have happened in the name of the law. (Anyone remember Chief Prosecutor Edgeworth's cameo as a defense attorney? Just me?) Either way, Gavin and Justice have likely had little to no contact before their appearance together in court today.

The trial of Klavier Gavin, who is accused of the murder of Kristoph Gavin, is ongoing. Scooperstars Daily will provide updates with new information as they happen.

Klavier Gavin Arrested as Suspect in Brother's Murder

LOS ANGELES -- July 25, 2029 by Reese Porter

Earlier today, witnesses outside of former Gavinners frontman Klavier Gavin's LA apartment claim to have seen the notorious prosecutor led out in police custody. Later photo evidence gave credibility to these previously-unsubstantiated rumors, and tonight's press release from the LAPD confirms Gavin's arrest.

This detainment follows an earlier discovery where Kristoph Gavin, brother to Klavier Gavin, was this morning found dead in his cell at the California Central Prison. The older Gavin brother has been behind bars for the past three years following troubling revelations of forgery, obstruction of justice, and murder. Klavier Gavin acted as prosecutor during the trial during which the full extent of his brother's crimes were revealed. Is his arrest solely based on circumstantial evidence, or will further evidence come to light about Klavier's involvement?

There has often been speculation about how much Klavier Gavin knew about his brother's crimes prior to the climactic trial in late 2026. The former rockstar's touring schedule and seemingly distant relationship with his sibling seems to have supposedly left little time for collusion, but who can say how much involvement Kristoph Gavin may have been able to reveal, had he lived to tell the tale? And could Klavier Gavin, having been avoidant of the press in the three years since his brother's sentencing, have motivation to shut him up?

At risk of being too obvious--it's Klapollo. They just grabbed onto my brain and didn't let go. I think it's probably something about the lack of resolutions between them in the canon story--that's like, the number one way to get me rotating characters in my head for the rest of my life.

I am just truly not a fan of Phoenix/Apollo. It doesn't make sense to me with any of their dynamics and I prefer both of them in relationships with other people--though, of course, that's just my own perspective

17. What's a book, movie, or show you think Apollo Justice would like?

Though I gave some book answers before, I'm going to branch out into other media! I think he'd probably like the cross between Weird Phenomena and Crime Procedural of The X-Files, and I think Trucy would make him watch Heartstopper at some point and he'd enjoy it way more than he expected to.

okay so different WIP this time--let's have some AA girls??

Maya closes her eyes, exhaling steadily. When she opens them, there’s a determined steadiness to her gaze.  “It’s not about tearing you down,” she says. “It’s…well. You don’t know what fun is, do you?” The question is so strange, so off-topic, that it throws Franziska off-balance (again). “I have no idea what you mean by that. Of course I know what fun is! I have fun all the time. Work is fun. Learning is fun. Dressage is fun.” “I know you think so! I know you enjoy doing those things. But you haven’t ever just…had fun with something that isn’t a discipline.” Franziska scowls, recalling all of Maya’s “fun” election campaign activities. Frivolous wastes of time, all of them. Who needs a campus-wide bubble fight? Who needs food trucks when there’s a perfectly functional dining hall open for all meals? “I don’t have to have ‘fun’ in the ways you do. We are allowed to be different people, Maya Fey.” “See, I don’t think that’s true,” Maya says, and before Franziska knows it, there’s a firm grip on her wrists and she’s being pulled up to her feet, dragged forwards into the light of the footpath.

17. What's a book, movie, or show you think Apollo Justice would like?

HMMMM okay I don't want to just make Apollo a sci-fi fan because I'm a sci-fi fan, but I think he would enjoy the sarcastic narration and short-form style of The Murderbot Diaries. Also I think he'd probably relate just a little to Murderbot's tenacity in defending its clients, considering he's got that typical Ace Attorney lawyer thing of "if I'm the one on this case, I'm not giving up on you, even if everything seems lost."

(I also think he would enjoy Les Misérables but he would never get the time to read the book and he would argue on principle that he doesn't like musicals so he just would never experience that one at all)

6. Show us a bit of a WIP!

okay soooo this is part of a final chapter to something I should have had done. a long time ago. but hopefully soon!! i just need to stop forgetting it exists...

He thinks back to earlier that afternoon, in the doorway, Klavier’s eyes on his skin and his towel suddenly seeming scandalously skimpy. To later, Klavier’s hair curling around his ears and Apollo burying the impulse to twine it around his finger. To the way Klavier got him a drink and ferried him through the airport and dropped his guard around him and let himself be imperfect the way he never does with the public’s eyes on him— Apollo allows himself to imagine, for one second, what it would be like to thread his fingers through the hair at the nape of Klavier’s neck and pull him down for a kiss.

9. Write a recommendation of someone else's fic you enjoyed!

So this is going kind of far back, but I'm Not So Good With In-Between by SocialDegenerate was one of the first Klapollo fics I ever read, and it has all my favorite things: Apollo secretly enjoying something Klavier's doing but not admitting to it, Klavier finding his own way to move forward in his career post-Gavinners, social media sleuthing, Trucy Wright...

A more proper summary is: Post-AA6, Klavier launches a radio show and answers listeners' questions/gives advice. Apollo winds up listening to the show and realizing he misses Klavier more than he thought, so reaches out via text and they become closer than they had been when in the same country. Cue pining like you wouldn't believe, the radio equivalent of vagueposting, and some minor meddling...and perhaps, things all work out in the end.

12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with?

I was about to say "this one is hard because I probably don't remember them all" but then I remembered the Emperor's New Groove Klapollo AU and. that's it. that's the one.

13. What's a character or ship you haven't written/drawn yet but would like to some day?

ohhhh one of these days I will be brave enough to write kazuma/ryuunosuke fic. but I probably have to replay all of TGAA first

I never thought I would end up having a motivating enough idea to write anything Franmaya related, but I ended up coming up with an entire detailed boarding-school rivals-to-lovers plot...that technically I'm way overdue on posting. Next time I have a day off work I'll finish that one off and get it out there, I promise!!

I'm new to this kind of event. How do I participate?

Good news! If you're interested in participating and you filled out the form to tell us so, you're already doing it right. For now, take a look through our Rules/FAQs document, and watch this blog for updates! The next big date for us is April 13th, when we'll officially open sign-ups via a form similar to the Interest Check.

Is it a problem if English isn't my native language?

Not at all! We're a global event, and we're happy to have anyone who wants to ramble about Klapollo with us. Entries and most communication should be in English for safety purposes, though, since the mods are only guaranteed to be able to moderate English.

Do I have to be established in the fandom to take part?

Nope! We'd love to be the event that sparks your first finished piece or your first fandom friendships! ❤️💜 Folks of all skill levels and at all levels of familiarity with the greater AA canon are so, so welcome. There's no selection process or anything—you just sign up on the 13th to commit to the rules and timeline, and we'll send you an email when things are ready.

Do you include beta reading?

All participants are allowed (and encouraged) to take beta reading roles to do peer reading, but there's no enforced beta period and no guarantee that anyone's piece will be beta read—it's up to individuals to make those connections. The same goes for adding alt-text to art; while we'd love to encourage everyone to make their pieces accessible, it's not enforced for this event, but there will be people in the server who will help anyone develop alt-text if desired. We do recommend using an email address/document sharing method that does not include your real actual legal name! We only ever need your fandom name, and we want everyone to take care if you plan to share your docs with anyone for beta reading.

Is it possible to pair up with someone we already know or who we previously worked with?

Definitely! on the sign-up form, there will be a field that allows you to enter the name/username of a partner you want to work with. Your partner will also need to enter your name in their copy of the form! There will be a grace period between the server opening and matchups being made during which people can contact mods to say "Hey! We just met each other in the chat, and now we want to work together!"

How are you so awesome?
