I knew him strictly through Brooklyn 99. His deadpan delivery was always perfect, and he knew exactly when to drop it for a better joke. The best example is for the "What happened to Amy" cold open when everyone guesses what happened to Amy to cause her to be late for work. Braugher's character guessed that the line was long at the bank, and when Amy said it was exactly that, Braugher, in a moment of improvisation, went "HOT DAMN!" It was so out of nowhere and perfect that the cast and crew immediately broke into laughter the second he said it. I don't know his other stuff, but moments like that proves why he's perfect in comedy.
