I have not opened this app in.... quite a while. I just wanted to stop in to say that I’m not dead, or in any other dangerous situation.
Between my special interest changing, my Tourette’s severely worsening, and navigating all the life changes that’s brought, I just haven’t been able to post. and that likely won’t change, but I’ve had so many amazing friends on here, I just wanted to make sure you could rest assured that I’m ok 🖤
He’s a Yellow Sea cucumber, and he’s chosen this as his spot to sit. Most sea cucumbers are bethnic (sitting on the sea floor) and use their tentacles to sort through the sediment, but this little guy is a filter feeder! He finds a nice high-flow area and holds his little arms out to grab food, and when he catches something he puts his fingers in his mouth to eat it!!
Worth noting that he’s also poisonous and despite looking completely squishy actually has a crunchy feeling exterior- comparable to a burnt marshmallow.

I just saw your post about majoring in biology, and I was wondering what college you go to since I’m thinking about majoring in biology when I go to college!
Agsgdg literally the crappiest little community college, they don’t even offer the degree I want (marine bio) but I’m looking at transferring to the college of the Florida keys! They have multiple amazing marine programs (aquaculture, marine bio, marine resource management, research diving) and lots of hands on experience. I’ve spoken with the marine programs director multiple times and she’s amazing. The university of Florida also has a great aquaculture program, but I don’t have any personal experience with them.
