he lets out an amused sound, already knowing what kai was thinking when he had said it though he knows he can't really defend himself in this case. though, honestly, he's been better about eating actual food now that kai had started popping by with meals.
honestly though, he's still kind of in awe of the events that had taken place, considering he really didn't think that it would've happened. it's kind of crazy to think about if he's honest, but he doesn't think he would want to change anything about it at all.
"i can try ..." jiho trails off, thinking of his own studio that he had decorated on his own and he's not quite sure if it's the most aesthetic that it could be. but he likes it, and he takes nice pictures inside of it even if he doesn't ever post them. either way, he thinks he did well. for himself. "you've seen my studio so ..."
letting a small smile creep across his lips at kai's words, he shifts slightly to be able to nudge his boyfriend with his shoulder, playful. "you're special to me too," he replies, looking pleased. "i can try, but i make no promises."
Kai responds to Jiho's claim with a look that speaks volumes—a blend of amusement and skepticism etched across his features, eyebrows arched and a subtle, knowing smile playing upon his full lips.
He's all too aware of Jiho's penchant for caffeine over nutrition, understanding the precarious balance Jiho maintains between energy and health. Yet, he can't help but join in the laughter, his head tilting back as his gaze wanders to the ink-black canvas of the night sky above, void of stars.
In these moments, Kai often finds himself caught in introspection, reflecting on the series of events that brought them to this point. When his eyes finally descend from the sky, they settle on Jiho again, now alight with a mixture of affection and anticipatory thrill.
The thought of Jiho being the first to witness his studio—before anyone else—ignites a warm, fluttering sensation within him, a feeling all too familiar and yet endlessly exhilarating.
"I'd really appreciate your help with the decorating. I've got a knack for fashion, sure, but interior? That's where my creativity hits a wall," he confesses, his nose wrinkling slightly as a sheepish smile spreads across his face. "And I want you to be the first to see it. Because... you know," Kai pauses, suddenly aware of the heat creeping into his cheeks, "You're special to me."

"i swear i don't even drink that much coffee," he replies with a pout on his lips, though he can't really refute kai's words, if only because he does have energy drinks in his mini fridge. it's probably a bad habit, but he's one who's stuck in his ways. so. he's not sure if he'll ever be able to change, whether for better or for worse.
he laughs a little to himself, just a soft chuckle every time their elbows or shoulders brush, as if it's a little unspoken message between both of them that they want to stay near. not that that would be incorrect, if he's honest with himself.
who would've thought that this would be how the night turned out?
"oh?" jiho responds, surprised but not at the same time. he had heard of type zero getting their own studios, though he wouldn't have considered himself close enough to any of the members to have visited one.
"let me know when you've finished decorating," he says, a smile on his lips and he tips his head back slightly to look up at the sky. "or, let me know if you want help decorating, i guess. i'm a great cheerleader."
A thoughtful hum rumbles in his throat, a playful twinkle dancing in his eyes as he considers Jiho's words. With a one-sided grin and a casual tuck of his hands into the warmth of his coat pockets, Kai responds, his tone light-hearted and amused,
"You've got a point there," he concedes, laughter bubbling up in his chest. "Someone's gotta make sure you're not surviving on caffeine and sheer determination alone."
Even in the absence of their entwined hands, Kai keeps himself near, their elbows occasionally brushing as if seeking the lost connection. Yet, in this closeness, he finds a deeper intimacy, a silent understanding that their bond transcends mere physical touch.
It's in moments like these that Kai realizes how right they are together, how their relationship has blossomed into something even more beautiful and fulfilling than before.
"Now that I've officially debuted, I'll be getting my own studio too," he continues, a hint of pride lacing his words. "Mine will lean more towards dance practice than music production, though." His grin widens as he imagines Jiho's reaction to his new space. "You'll have to come check it out sometime, won't you?"

he doesn't have much to say in response to that, since his only answer would be that he would just have to take it, honestly. he laughs a little instead, shaking his head and he just goes with not answering because he doesn't actually have a reply.
the whole ride down the slope is fun though, and he doesn't even realize that it's ended until he's come to a full stop. he hears before he sees seojin shoot past him, his eyes wide as he glances at the mother and her kid at the profanity slipping from his friend's mouth and bows his head slightly in apology.
it's kind of a funny thought, if they recognized him. it would just be a parent saying that jiho of agito had apologized for a friend swearing.
anyways.
he watches, as if everything is in slow motion, as seojin shoots past him and crashes into a snow bank. part of him wishes he had had the foresight to pull his phone out to record or something but it's good enough to just have seen it with his own eyes.
"absolutely 10 out of 10," jiho says, a laugh tumbling out of his lips in his surprise, standing up and pulling his sled behind him. he crouches down next to seojin, reaching out to try to help dust the snow off of him. "are you okay?"
"And what if it is a threat? What are you gonna do about it, huh?" A wide grin spreads across his lips, mischief rather clear in the glisten of his eyes before he slams the visor of his helmet down. He would have to admit, teasing Jiho might very well soon become a favorite past time of his; one that potentially rivals the other targets of his shenanigans.
Seojin knows better than to allow any shred of competitive nature to go without a taste. He has the tendency to snarf it all up in one fell swoop — so much so that he often chokes on his own words. Even in times like this ( when he should be having oodles of fun ), there is that hunger to win win win that follows him all the way down the slope.
It's smooth sailing for a bit until he finds his sled taking on a mind of its own and veers off course. He presses his heels into the snow, but it only leaves fissures in the snow. At this speed, he barrels past a child and mother slowly making their way down, barely missing them.
"Shit, shit, shiiiiit!" he finds himself with no choice to cry out as his sled pushes him rather quickly past a stagnant Jiho, stopping only when it crashes him into a snow bank. He tumbles from the sled and is left to splay his arms out on the icy white blanket. He peers over at his friend with a roll of his head, slowly flicking the protective visor up.
"So... How'd I do? 10 outta 10 for performance? Theatrics...?" His voice emerges a bit strained — what, with having the wind knocked out of him.

for this particular show, we’re giving some people in the lgc community to help pitch in and create thirst tweets for the idol! for this, since there will be a solo component related to the filming of this episode, JIHO’s mun can ask people who has not interacted with the mun ( as in on any of the mun’s muses ) to send in the “thirst tweets” ( you can check the video to get a general idea, but make sure that the tweets are tame! )

the moment that hangs between them feels fragile, too good to be true almost. when the word is spoken in return, in answer to his own hesitant question, jiho feels a palpable relief wash over him.
and in a heartbeat, the peace is shattered only to be replaced by a warmth that spreads through his whole body, from the top of his head to the tips of his toes. it's not something he's felt in a long time, perhaps used to always working and pushing forward and trying his best to never stop.
maybe he had needed to take a pause all along. to see what the world was offering him.
to see kai.
he allows this warmth to linger between them, watching the movement of their swinging hands and then lets out a laugh at kai's next, excited words.
"since when did you ever stop to ask to begin with, hm?" he asks, nudging the other's shoulder with his own, unable to stop the amusement from spreading across his face. regrettably, he pulls his hand away, tucking it into his pocket though he smiles at kai to show that it's not out of rejection or anything but more that his hands are cold. "you've always just barged into my studio."
Kai's recollection of this sensation is hazy, as if he's merely brushing the surface of a distant memory—a fluttering heart, a sense of warmth, the natural inclination to lean closer to someone you hold dear.
Yet, this time, it's different, more profound than ever before. In the quiet of the night, with deserted streets enveloping them, it's as though the butterflies in his stomach have grown wings, taking residence in the depths of his heart.
This, Kai thinks, must be what it means to fall, to be utterly consumed by emotion—to feel, to hear, to exist in a world where his connection with Jiho is tangible, irrefutable.
Holding Jiho's hand with steadfast determination, Kai hesitates to let go, fearing that this surreal moment might vanish into thin air the moment he releases his grasp.
But Jiho's voice, Jiho's touch—undeniably real, undeniably present—ground Kai in the certainty of their reality.
With a smile that speaks volumes and a nod of affirmation, Kai breathes out the word that seals their bond, that transforms their connection into something tangible, something official. "Boyfriends." The title hangs in the air, and with it comes an exhilarating sense of anticipation for what lies ahead.
In a burst of excitement, Kai initiates a gentle sway of their joined hands, a playful gesture that mirrors the joyful melody bubbling up in his chest. "So, does this mean I have unlimited access to your studio? Can I surprise you with impromptu visits, be like, ta-dah! Here I am!?"

— lee jiho : performing at everland for love minifes
the valentine's and white day performances were not something new to him at all. honestly, it's something he expects every year at this point. from his very first public appearances after the first season of future dreams when they had performed at girls high schools to now, white day is always a day for him to try to give back to fans.
the performances are fun, considering they weren't going to be performing title songs but rather they were singing songs that were related to love. agito are revisiting their debut track, and he thinks it's kind of fun, considering that the member lineup had changed a bit but he hopes that only adds more freshness to their vibe.
getting to perform scent of you was fun too, considering that the song had originally been released in japanese and they had re-recorded it in korean for their fans here.
however, he would say that getting the chance to perform rock with you with versus again was probably his favourite part. it had been a while since the last v&a full comeback and he hopes that it wouldn't be too long until their next one. especially with the new members being added to versus.
he hoped that they would get to showcase themselves again, even if this time it would be without jaesun.
either way though, he's just happy to be performing with his members again. despite having wanted and ached for the solo debut, he would be the first to admit that he missed performing on stage with the other agito members.
he spends his time on stage happily, interacting with the fans at every chance because this is what he's here to do, and it's also his favourite part about being an idol. seeing the fans and their happy faces, singing along to their songs is always a great time and he always feels so proud.

"it's not that i'm scared," he protests, feeling a tiny bit offended that that was what seojin thought of him. though he understands, considering the hedging his friend had needed to do to get him to agree to this outing. but the point wasn't that he was afraid of snowboarding or anything. no, that wasn't it at all!
"you know if i get hurt i won't be able to dance or do any of my schedules," he points out, huffing softly as he follows after, stepping purposely into the little footprints that seojin was leaving behind.
he'll admit, he doesn't particularly love the snow but he loves the cold weather if only for how crisp the air is when he takes a deep breath. it feels even better out here, and he thinks he wouldn't mind falling down the mountain (figuratively) to get more of it in his lungs.
"that sounds like a threat, hyung," jiho replies, eying the other warily but he also knows that it's probably harmless.
he decides not to respond verbally, only moving to sit on the sled and getting his feet positioned properly in a way that he wouldn't just accidentally shoot down the hill without any warning.
hearing the go! from his friend. he digs his heels into the ground and pushes off, letting out a cheer as the sled starts moving down the hill.
it's refreshing in a way he hasn't felt in a long time, and he just freely enjoys the ride until he reaches the bottom and the slope evens out and he's no longer moving. he had entirely forgotten about the race, just enjoying the wind in his face and he turns to look and see where seojin had ended up.
"Next year?" Seojin huffs out a scoff, the cold air mixing with his breath and letting it drift to the sky in a faint white wisp. His eyes follow the ghost of a laugh until they meet with the tree line peeking out from the billowing hills. "Think you'll have built up enough courage by then...? There's no backing down from it now. January, next year... same place, same time."
The older had been snowboarding a number of times, accustomed to the balancing required to navigate around on a skateboard when the ground is pavement as he feels like reminiscing on his first breaths of youth.
His steps leaving shallow imprints in the pristine white canvas as he steadies the sled against the snow, aiming between the two shallow orange markings that sit wide enough for two. Clicking his tongue, he turns to Jiho. "We should go at the same time. Race... I wanna have a race to the bottom and see which one of us doesn't end up eating shit before getting to the bottom. How 'bout it?"
The sled stands ready, poised for action, its presence a silent challenge to the hillside's icy ( and slightly ominous ) descent. Seojin glances up at Jiho as he settles himself into the center of it, a grin playing at the corners of his lips.
"Ready...?" he waits until Jiho has set his sled down beside him to begin pushing his heels against the snow. "Go!"

JIHO GOING SOLO — VLOG #1
when he was announced to be the winner of future dreams season 7, it really felt almost surreal that it was happening. he had stood in complete shock on that stage as the cameras panned in from all angles and he had really only felt shocked.
but now that he's in the studio working with the producers for the vision of the song he wanted to make, he felt the same way once again.
it was really just a surreal experience in general, if he's honest.
of course, they had worked together earlier too, when it had been 'chaser' that he was making for the stage, but working together with them all again feels familiar but strange at the same time.
he pulls out his powerpoint presentation he had made of the ideas he wanted to incorporate, very aware of the camera filming this for the vlog series he was doing, and he tries to make all of his ideas sound as concise as possible, with multiple examples and even some samples he had pre-recorded and thought up earlier, including lyric snippets and riffs he had thought would be fun.
the screen changes from that, to him working on his own in his studio—a sight that eterval are sure to be used to already by now, even if they were new to the fandom—and he's diligently working on tweaking the parts to make them all sound the way that he wanted them to.
it's fun, to be able to control so much of his solo debut but also nerve-wracking.
what if he didn't do well?
the next scene is him with the creative team again—it still shocks him that he can call them his creative team if he's honest—and they're all clearly working on a more finished song than the first clip shown. most of it is filmed montage style, just with clips of them on different days, all working together with jiho clearly directing. he's wearing glasses in one of the clips, and looking a little bit frustrated.
"it's coming together though," he comments, pushing the frame of the glasses farther up his nose-bridge, tying his hair up into a half pony just to get it out of his face. "we got through the hard part—mostly trying to get the different parts into one song but i think we did it. we all work really well together so ..." he trails off and gives a thumbs up.
"i think the final product will be a good one. i just hope eterval will like it."
