釣果はゼロ

日本とは禁漁期間が違うので、新年元日にテンカラ。しかし釣果はゼロ。

でもこのロケーションは釣果よりもリラックス目的でした。釣れたらラッキーぐらいな感じで、いつも以上にテキトー（笑）

なんでもない一時だけど、写真を撮ったりして楽しんできました。

良いスタートをきれました。

Sometimes when I'm birdwatching

#sometimes when i’m birdwatching #things that aren’t birds #these were the closest I got to fish #on my first tenkara angling attempt #I didn't actually try to catch these #I suspect they're chub rather than trout #not actually sure #my fish ID skills being much more rudimentary #but they were tiny #maybe 2 to 3 inches tops #I was doing the tenkara thing #in some of the deeper pools #which in this creek #means about 2-3 feet deep #basically bathtub-sized #I'm not sure there were any fish in there #I certainly didn't catch any #maybe one strike (if it wasn't a rock or a stick catching the fly) #one swirl at the surface that might have been a trout #but it was useful practice #and I look forward to applying what I learned #on a creek with actually visible trout #so I know if I don't catch any #that it's not just because they're not there #closer...
