found this today while walking near my house! I think it's a black bear skull which is crazy, I've never found a bear before. It's clearly been gnawed on and is missing some teeth but otherwise in pretty good condition!

Two separate walks, my mom found a vertebra last week and today I found what looks like a cow or horse tooth? That had duct tape on it?

Today I also saw a piece of a small leg bone I think and another fragment but they had ants on them so I decided not to pick them up lol

My mom is convinced it came w us to the new house so now my new mission is to find boxes in the garage that are mine and try to find my box of bones

When I was younger like grade school/jr high age I had a box w some skulls in it and such that I would find in the woods that I kept in my closet and now idk what's happened to it :( did I get rid of them one of those times I got worried it was weird to keep a box of bones in your closet? Did it get left when my family moved while I was at college? Is it now somewhere in the garage 😭 ah ;-;

Yoooo so second pellet was a bird! When I first picked this one up I thought it had a lot of grass in it, and while it does, most of it is actually feathers! I kept a few of the better ones along with any bones I could find. As someone who hasn't dabbled in ornithology I don't know if it's gonna be possible for me to narrow down what kind of bird this came from from what I have but! I'll probably end up trying at some point xD there also might have been skin? In there? So I kept a couple pieces of that too! V interesting but still no skulls sadly

Okay it's been forever but I finally dissected one of the owl pellets I collected before so :D

I'll probably ramble about the bones later but I wanted to post these for now. I still have a few more to look thru but it's cold outside as you can see by the snow on the ground so I'm taking a break lol.

High 2.25? It's not so easy to high-5 a tyrannosaurus!

This is the hand of a 32ft long tyrannosaurus rex compared to the hand of a 5ft 4" tall human (me)!

It's pretty amazing that (with a ladder and some big cojones) you could've held hands with one of the biggest predatory animals in history.

Just another day in the life of a museum owner!
