autism is literally one of the disorders that is safest to diagnose without the help of a professional. it doesn’t have many main symptoms that overlap with other stuff like personality disorders, and it doesn’t come from trauma or environment so it’s always been there therefore you don’t have to take into consideration all those factors.

if you talk to a few autistic people who know you well enough and you compare your symptoms knowing what they actually means (e.g. special interest isn’t just liking something) and they say you’re autistic, you can say you’re autistic. it’s okay. use it to explain to both yourself and others whom you trust why you do certain things or to find advice and whatnot. it’s fine.

itd be nice if someone could share this. its sortof self explanatory but i guess i could explain more.

i have been in foster care since i was 11 years old. I was being raised by my grandmother. She had stage 4 esophageal cancer and it had spread to her stomach and lungs, and sadly she passed away, leaving me, my brother and sister, and two dogs and a cat to fend for ourselves. on her will it had said that we be adopted by my best friends family. it was a flop. my brother and sister are now adopted by another family, and i am now left in foster care. i dont know how much support ill have... but im looking to get my own place. theres too much family tension and both sides of my family are pulling to get me. it would be amazing to see some support <3 thank you <3
