Time to unveil my very special VKsmas illustration to celebrate Christmas & all the work I’ve been doing lately on « The Many Faces of Auradon »

While I’m still dealing with my blepharitis (an eye infection) I have been nevertheless working 3 days on that one and it has been tricky. But anyway, here is : Our four VKs celebrating Christmas in Auradon in their singular self.

💙 Evie being fabulous with a unique Mother Christmas outfit while everyone is in PJs, and of course : decorating the Christmas three with her unique taste !

😈 Mal looking at her while eating marshmallows because she doesn’t want to lift a finger doing traditional things.

🐾 Carlos playing with Dude with a Christmas ball.

🐍 Jay showing off his muscle while bringing hot chocolat on a plate that he can lift with one arm !

I’ve also thought about which Christmas song would the VKs listened to. Evie is 100% ‘All I want for Christmas is you’ by Mariah Carey, because she’s a diva. Mal would be ‘The Season’s Upon Us’ by Dropkick Murphys because it’s anti-social & punk. Carlos would be a vintage & romantic soul listening to ‘Last Christmas’ by George Michael, & finally Jay would have a guilty pleasure on ‘Santa Tell Me’ by Ariana Grande.

What do you think ? Do you think I’m right ? What would you have picked up for the song ? How do you imagine a VKsmas ? Tell me !!!

Evie & Jay acting like parents (1/?)

Jayvie + "That wasn't supposed to happen." :>

“That wasn’t supposed to happen,” Jay sighed into the coffee mug in his hands. 

Evie giggled, glancing up at Silver who loomed just beyond Jay’s shoulder. The old pirate simply shrugged and shook his head, turning away to give the two privacy. 

“So you didn’t want to kiss me?” Her head tilted slightly as she looked at him, Jay flinching at her words. 

“No! I mean yes. I mean-” he groaned, his head smashing down on the table between them. Evie worried he may have broken his nose from the sound of the collision. Another heavy sigh escaped him.

“It wasn’t supposed to be like that,” Jay lifted his head, rubbing at his sore nose. He turned to face the closed door separating them from Silver, “Silver wasn’t supposed to be home.” 

Evie giggled, remembering the completely horrified express that had come to Jay’s face the moment Silver had graced the doorway. He’d immediately jumped away from her as though burned. 

“And just, everything was wrong.”

Standing from her chair, Evie rounded the table and  gracefully sat on his lap. She took his face between her eyes, pressing her forehead to his. 

“Jay, seriously, it was perfect. Calm down,”  he opened his mouth to speak, but Evie quickly devoured his words. Jay tense all of a moment before his arms wrapped around her waist. He could feel all his worries vanish as Evie’s tongue dipped into his mouth to deepen it. He could stay like this forever. 

“Oi!” A spray of water fell on the pair, Evie shrieked and almost fell back had Jay not held her. Silver chuckled, shooting another spray of water at them, “if ye brats gonna be swallowing tongues, go ta yer own damn houses.”

Looking at one another, they laughed. Evie slipped off and took Jay’s hand, apologizing to Silver as she pulled them towards the door. 

“Sorry old man,” Jay laughed, giving him a wave.

“Ye best be careful with that one,” Silver called after them, “I like ye but if ye hurt a hair on her head…” 

Jay tried not to worry about the ‘I’ll be watching’ motion that followed.

imagine an alternate world in descendants where Jay is the son of Jasmine and Aladdin who was kidnapped by Jafar. Just. Imagine.

Evie & Jay acting like parents (3/?)

Jayvie + "I love you but please stop doing whatever it is that you're doing."

(Pfft did I say 5 sentences? Because 597 words later....) 

"I love you but please stop doing whatever it is that you're doing."

Jay freezes just shy of the open door, his arms hidden behind the wall as he leaned back to look at her. 

An up-to-no-good grin appears on his lips, “what do you mean?”

“It’s distracting!” 

Evie pouts back at him, not buying his attempt at innocence for a moment. He’d been going back and forth from the back rooms to the front of the house for the last hour and he wasn’t being the least bit quiet about it. She has no idea what he’s up to but it’s been driving her crazy. 

“What are you doing anyway?” 

His smile only grew, “nothing you have to worry your pretty little head about...for now.” 

Jay quickly takes off before she could question him more, his laughter echoing behind him. Evie groans in frustration. He was up to something and she couldn’t tell if it was good or bad. Though she wanted nothing more than to get up and follow, Evie remained at her desk to finish her latest dress design. 

She tries to focus but Jay’s mischievous activity only continues to nag at her. He was being quick as he continued to pass by the room, passing by before she could see him. 

“Alright!” he appears at her side, taking the pencil from her hand and setting it down. 

“Jay?”

He grins, pulling her up and out of her chair. She looks down to see her night gown in her hands. 

“Don’t ask questions, okay. Just change.” 

Jay pushes her into her bedroom and waits, that grin never wavering. She can only stare with a raised brow. It takes her only a few seconds to change and when she does, he takes her hands and leads her outside. 

The night sky is as beautiful as ever. The full moon shines brilliantly with not a single cloud in the sky. He demands she closes her eyes before he takes her any further. Evie smiles at his silliness and complies, knowing he’d never do a thing to hurt her or misplace her trust. 

They’re silent as Jay continues to lead her around. It’s not long before they stop, Jay releasing her hands and coming to stand behind her. His hands find their way to her hips, pulling her back against him.

“Alright, princess,” she can hear the nervousness in his voice, “open your eyes.” 

Evie does as he asks and slowly opens her eyes. Her hands shoot up to cover her mouth as she gasps, taking in the breathtaking scene in front of them. 

Star string lights hung from carefully from the fort of blankets and pillows in the center, illuminating the area. He’d organized everything in such a way both could fit comfortably. Her favorite stuffed animal, a red and gold serpent he’d won for her at Rapunzel’s lantern festival, rested beside her favorite pillow. A bowl of popcorn rested in the center with glasses of her favorite tea. Their cuddle blanket - as Uma likes to call it - was even there ready and waiting.

“Jay, it’s beautiful,” she turns in his hold, wrapping her arms around his neck.

He smiles sheepishly, resting his forehead against hers, “we’ve both been busy lately. I figured we could use a little date night. Carlos let me borrow his projector and I picked out some of your favorite movies. Mal helped to enchant-” 

Evie pulls him down for a kiss, silencing him as he begins to rumble. 

It was perfect. 

She couldn’t have asked for a more promising evening.
