You careful swiped the lipgloss across your bottom lip, up around the top, ending with a prominent pop. You lean back from the mirror, setting the tube down in front of you and carefully running your hands over your white cocktail dress. Your curls fell down over your shoulders, a little wider and more in place than your usual hairstyle.

You let out a steady breath before you hear the door click open. Your eyes meet Rafe’s in the mirror, an instant smile rising on his lips. “Sweetheart?” He quietly closes the door behind him as he walks to meet you. With your back still turned to him, his chest meets your back as he stares intently in the mirror.

Rafe raises his hands to your sides, slowly rubbing down the curves of your hips to your thighs. “You look… wow. I am truly speechless, sweetheart.” He says above a whisper. His lips connect to your neck. “I can’t believe we’re standing here about to celebrate us. It’s your last night of being a (your last name). Can you believe it?” “We made it, baby.” You grin, tugging his hands to wrap around you.

He sways softly back and forth with you. “Can’t we just stay up here? They don’t need us down there.” He groans, turning you around. His eyes take over your body. “I can definitely think of some better ways to spend our last night unmarried together.” He adds. You slightly push him, giving him a laugh. “Hush, baby blue.” You lean up to kiss him. “You look handsome, by the way.” You fix his the bow around his neck, straightening it with your delicate, freshly manicured fingers. “High school me would laugh in my face if I told him I got the girl, soon to be Mrs. Cameron.”
