hey! how are you doing these days? i miss you and your art and at the risk of sounding weird, I (and other friends of mine) need you back SO BAD ❤️ i love you and hope all is well stranger
Hey! Sorry for the astonishingly late reply!
I'm good, I hope you're good too! 😊
I'm still making stuff but gonna drop the remixes for now and move onto other stuff. Still making music but I make games now too so that'll be fun.
I posted on Patreon with some more info HERE
There will be some stuff out this year (holding myself to that) so hopefully it's something you enjoy!
We've just launched our kickstarter today so if you think it looks COOL and wanna get yourself some cool rewards for supporting its development you should head on over and check it out.
My game Tynk! and the Final Phonorecord is officially LIVE on Indiegogo! Sharing your art has never been so tough!
You can also play the demo for free on the Tynk! website. The first few days of a campaign are most important, so if you can back it it'd mean the world to me! ^_^
Next up is track 3, "Everyone I Know is After Me". One of the hardest songs to finish and last ones written for the album. The music came together really quickly but the melody & lyrics took waaaaaay too long.
My debut album “Woah” is coming out October 31st.
It’s 12 bedroom pop tracks written over the last 5 odd years.
It’ll be available to stream & purchase on the usual suspects.
Here’s a little teaser for track 1 - Mono
Very sorry if I have flooded your feed and/or my replies are about 2 years late.
I honestly haven’t looked at that inbox in years so again sorry for the late replies!
Still alive, I wrote a post on my patreon at the end of last year which is still pretty relevant: https://www.patreon.com/posts/32624988
Chipping away remixes and other projects, slowly.
I am trying to create my first Plunderphonic music video but i do not know how to begin or approach this. Any tips to get me started? I love your work.
Are you after advice on how to create the music or video side of things?
If it’s the music side my advice would be to just jump in and give it a go, the first thing you make won’t be the best but you’ll learn a lot about what not to do next time and only improve from there. Focus on getting one part that you really like, it could be a single sample that loops or a whole piano passage but pick something and build around that. Using samples in plunderphonics are like any other instrument in a song, sometimes they provide the drums, sometimes it’s the melody, harmony etc.
If it’s the video side of things I’m not the best person to ask for video editing advice but in my vids I try to go just make something that’s relatively enjoyable to watch. Don’t focus too hard on making sure you show exactly where every single sample has come from, it’s both tiring to edit together and tiring to watch. Watch it back yourself and see if you start to get bored, tired, excited etc while watching it.
Hey, just found your stuff and I love it. Wanted to know if you have any plans to put your work on spotify? I know spotify is apparently more trouble for smaller music creators than its worth, I just have some work playlists that I really wanna put your tracks onto. Thanks for the amazing music
No and most likely never unfortunately.
My understanding is that I don’t technically own it so I don’t really have the rights to upload it or make any money from it.
Will you ever consider posting any of your other remixes from your YouTube channel? It’d be great to share them directly from you instead of reposting
The old ones? Probably not, I lost a lot of the video files for the older stuff and it’s honestly just a lot of effort to go on such a small platform. You most certainly have my blessing to repost or re-upload anything you feel like sharing though!
Hi! I love your remixes, specifically your Bayonetta one! I was wondering if you could tell me what song/part you used in that remix at 1:41-2:13? It’s been stuck in my head and I’m going crazy! Love everything you do, keep up the good work!
Thank you kindly friend!
